Review: After being pursued by the owner of this alarm company months before I had even closed on my new home ( red flag!) and telling him that I will be in contact with him as soon as I get situated at the home because they already had service with the previous owner of my house and they told me that they could offer me the alarm service that I needed. He kept telling me that they were a small family owned business and there is no contract, that if I don't like the service you can cancel at anytime.I had to keep postponing their appointments because I was being pressured into setting up a time for him to come in. When calling to postpone yet another visit, I was put in contact with another rep who I explained to that I was being bombarded with calls from the owner and that I will call when ready. He said, don't worry take my cell number and call me when ready, that he wouldn't keep bothering me. He said that the owner can be aggressive that way.Finally, two techs came into my home on October 10 th, 2013. I wanted remote operation to be able to access from wherever I was, which they said they offered. They againtold me that if I didn't like the service I was able to cancel. They were not able to set me up through Total Connect online because I was using my IPAD and because one of my entrance doors was being replaced and couldn't be armed until it was changed, but that they did set the house service up to bypass that door, and I had to pay up front for the equipment. Reluctantly, I had to give them a check for $697.00, even though I was not completely set up. Once I had my computer instead and the door changed, the next visit was on October 22, 2013, and there again, they were not able to complete a setup through Total Connect on my MAC. At that point, I didn't want to use their service and said I want to cancel. They stormed out leaving an exposed wire hanging from the wall of the new door. I have called many times, written letter, and no one has responded since.Desired Settlement: Being that I have never had service, monitoring or otherwise due to their not being able to get me set up, and it was only a matter of eleven days, I should be refunded for the entire amount of $697.00

I am rejecting this response because:

Most of their response is untrue. The only requests I initiated was the very first call to find out whether they would be able to supply the services I wanted, police monitoring and remote operation, not via a landline, that was all The information I needed for the time being. The second, was as I got closer to moving in and was ready for service to be hooked up. Every call in between those were made by [redacted] to me asking for appointments to be set up. I kept telling him let me move in first and then I finally had to tell him, not to worry I will call him when I was ready. I didn't say he was harassing me, just bombarding me with phone calls when trying to get the business.
