Natomas Auto Body & Paint Reviews (5)

Review: On Sunday, July 20th at 5pm, a police officer called Natomas Auto Body on our behalf to initiate a tow, presumably through [redacted]. When the tow truck driver, [redacted], arrived we gave him our [redacted] card and identification, and asked if the tow would be covered by our [redacted] membership. He assured us that it was and recorded our [redacted] information, before proceeding to tow our vehicle. On Monday, July 21st around 9am, we called Natomas Auto Body and spoke with [redacted]. We asked whether or not our [redacted] information had been received and would be covering the tow. [redacted] assured us that they had the information, and that she would make sure our invoice would be processed through [redacted]. On Tuesday, July 22nd, we called Natomas Auto Body and spoke with [redacted], the Body Shop Manager, about retrieving our vehicle from their shop. We spoke about the cost of storage and towing, and she also assured us that they had our [redacted] information and never mentioned a towing fee. When we arrived to Natomas Auto Body that Tuesday afternoon, [redacted] informed us that because a police officer had initiated the tow request, [redacted] would not cover the cost of towing. In addition, the posted cost for towing was $97.50. However, because it had been initiated by a police officer, the cost was $200. We asked to speak with [redacted], who had been our tow truck driver, and were told that he couldn't be reached. Finally, we paid the $200 towing fee, on top of $135 of fees for 40 hours of storage. Afterwards, I called the direct line to Natomas Auto Body's towing service, and spoke with [redacted]. [redacted] informed me that the dispatcher does indeed inform the tow truck driver whether it is a [redacted] membership tow or a police initiated tow. This means that our tow truck driver, [redacted], took our [redacted] membership information knowing that [redacted] would not cover the tow, and knowingly lied to us about it. This lie was then perpetuated by Natomas Auto Body staff [redacted] and [redacted]. [redacted] knew that the tow would not be covered by [redacted], and should have so informed his customer.Desired Settlement: We would like Natomas Auto Body to take responsibility for their employee's intentional withholding of the truth regarding their services and whether or not [redacted] would cover them, as it is evident that from our first interaction with [redacted] we were being lied to. We want Natomas Auto Body to refund the $200 of towing fees that we paid as a result of this lie. In addition, we would like a written statement acknowledging and apologizing for [redacted]'s lie.

Response:

We received the call from the [redacted] Police Dept on July 20, 2014 @ 5:24 pm for a "rotation tow" to [redacted]. Our driver was dispatched to the location to the respond to the call. Being a new driver he misunderstood the procedures for rotation calls and gave inaccurate information to the customer.

Then when the shop was called the office staff was merely reiterating what the driver had written on the tag referencing their [redacted] information. It was a series of miscommunication's that have led us to this point and for that I sincerely apologize.

The customer can contact [redacted] for reimbursement. The driver is being retrained to alleviate any further miscommunications regarding the difference between Rotation Tows and an [redacted] request.

Rotation Tow - We have a 20 minute response time. We are approved with a written agreement that we have to comply with to be on said rotations.

[redacted] Requests - should be called in by the [redacted] member then [redacted] signs it to the appropriate Contract Station in that area.

In this case the [redacted] member would have to pay for the tow and seek reimbursement from [redacted].

Should you require further information please contact me at [redacted]

My car was repaired and then returned to the shop repeatedly due to repairs not being done correctly. My car was eventually totalled out because of sub par repairs, and they were removed from my insurance company's preferred list. Horrible horrible experience.

Review: I have my 02 Toyota Celica at Natomas Auto Body and Paint for a collision that happened three weeks ago. Most of the damages were comsetic and I was given the estimate from the claim adjuster. When I took it in I asked NAB&P to only do an inspection to my suspension first as I want to make sure that the car is safe to drive. A few days later [redacted] called from NAB&P and in the conversation asked if I received the est. check yet. I told him not yet, he said that he would contact my claim adjuster to get it sent directly to him at NAB&P. I told him thatI have not yet approved all of the work to be done. He said that he must complete all of the work in the estimate. He went on to saying that the check might not even be in my name. I asked him to only complete any driving issue repairs and the passenger fender.Desired Settlement: I want to make sure that they do not do all repairs against my approval.

We never fixed this customers car. As we are governed as well by the BAR we cannot begin repairs without the customers authorization. she picked up her car prior to our recieving this complaint I think it was done preemptively. She seemed happy when she picked her car up.

Review: My car was hitin a parking lot and the person did not leave a note, my bumper was dented and scrated so was the side of my car just above the bumper. The isurance company recommended this auto body shop "Natomas auto body" so I took my car there. when my husband droppe the car off he specifically told them "make sure you get this dent out" it was the dent about the bumper , it was like a long crease dent. A week later when I went to pick my car up the first thing I saw was the dent, they didn't fix it and when I pointed it out they said they didn't see because they didn't look at my car in the light!! I had to leave my there so they could fix it, another week later I go to pick up my car and this time the first thing I notice is the bumper is the wrong color and so is the paint they used to paint over the repaired dented spot! they agreed! I feel they are completely incompetent! My car is still there but I am waiting for a call back from the insurance to see if I can take it some where else! I do not trust them and I don't want them touching my car again!Desired Settlement: I do no think I should have to pay the insurance deductible for the car repairs

The insurance company wrote to polish the ¼ pnl, I called the adjuster advised that there was a dent in the ¼ pnl and he said he did not see it see what the customer says. The customer advised that they told the insurance company the was related I called the insurance company back and got auth to repair the ¼ pnl. While removing the recon bumper it torn ordered a new oem cover repaired the ¼ and painted the new bumper, Unfortuanly this was when we were down a painter I had to have someone else come and paint the car when he did the bumper did not match it did not have enough paint on it. The customer did not want us to do any more repairs to her car and wanted to have it taken to another shop. I put the customer in to a rental car and had the car taken to the shop of her choice I paid the shop to polish the ¼ pnl and repaint the rear bumper and the customer was happy with the repairs and paid the other shop her deductible.

Thank you

Review: Natomas Towing severely damaged my vehicle while it was in their care and refuse to respond to my request for payment of repairs to my vehicle. Last night I tried to contact Natomas Towing about my vehicle that was towed by them, but I was put on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on. My car was towed by the California Highway Patrol and the CHP report states that prior to being towed by Natomas Towing that my vehicle had NO BODY DAMAGE. I sent Sierra Hart Towing to pick up my vehicle for me FROM Natomas Towing and upon their arrival they witnessed the employees at Natomas Towing using a forklift inappropriately to pull the front of my vehicle. He also wrote on his paperwork (which was initialed by a Natomas Towing employee) stating all of the body damage he saw to my vehicle prior to him hooking up the vehicle and removing it from their property. I have made other attempts to contact them regarding my property damage including an email, more phone calls, and via [redacted], with no response. I will be filing a claim to litigate in small claims court.Desired Settlement: I would like Natomas Towing to pay for the repairs for the damage they caused to my vehicle.

Response:

As reiterated to Ms. [redacted] via letter (Item 1) the damaged noted by the CHP on Form 180 states “minor damage and dings” 360 degrees around the vehicle. (Item 2) This was corroborated by the two Tow drivers (Items 3 & 4).

As for Ms. [redacted]’s initial complaint it was addressed in the letter from Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] has never submitted an estimate or pictures of the alleged damage to us to substantiate her claim.

Natomas Towing has a reputation for reputable conscientious service to our customers. Without the proof of the alleged damage it is our contention that we did not cause any additional damage.

Should you have further questions please feel free to contact me at [redacted].

Response:

The CHP report states RF Valance (bumper) damage. The damage to my vehicle upon picking it up from Natomas Auto Body is severe front end damage and a cracked windshield. No where in the CHP report that you are using to say my vehicle was already in this condition does it state that the windshield is cracked, that the front grille is broken, that the bumper is cracked and barely attached to the vehicle and that the paint is cracked and completely scratched off underneath as well as all over the center part of the bumper. It is ovbious from the damage that the vehicle was pulled from the front causing it the grill and bumper to break in the center and the way that the pieces have lodged back overlapping on top of eachother. Also, the tow truck driver from Sierr-Hart towing that I sent to retrieve my vehicle for me will be my winess in court because he states that he witnessed your employees pull my vehicle incorrectly with a forklift. This is why this driver wrote a statement of all of the damage he saw to my vehicle and made your employee sign it. My vehicle had one small spot on the right front bumper where paint had been chipping off before it was towed by natomas towing. This is the minor front in damage that the CHP report refers to. I will also be in contact with the CHP officer as well because he knows the damage that was there prior to this. They damaged my vehicle and refuse to take resposibility for what there neglagence and complete diregard for my personal property. I will respond next week with the photos and the estimate of damage to my vehicle. The damages total approximately $1,900.00.

Response:

Natomas Towing has for all of it's existence handled any unfortunate mishaps that may have occurred while a vehicle has been in it's care and custody. Our goal is to quickly and accurately handle all claims of damage as serious incidents. Our belief is that we caused the damage that we should make it right. This is one of those cases that we did not cause damage to a vehicle. all of the photographic evidence is showing a bumper with peeling paint that is rolling back from sun exposure. In one of the photographs it shows color changes in the textured plastic where there are dark and light spots. The light spots are where the plastic has been exposed to UV light for an extended amount of time fading the color of the plastic of the bumper. the reason the bumper had started to peel in the first place is because whomever had painted the bumper did not adequately prepare the surface of the bumper and could not have just happened overnight. Damage to the vehicle was noted on the form from the CHP, front bumper valance damage, dents scraped 360 degrees. While officers try to not all damage to vehicles, it is expected that they miss damage as they already have their hands full and only have a small window of time to report damages. The tow truck driver from [redacted] did note on his invoice that there was damage to the vehicle, not who or how the damage was caused. It is a fact that the vehicle was moved with a forklift. but what was not stated is how the vehicle was moved. on every fork lift that Natomas Towing owns we have an attachment that goes on the forks of the forklift that picks the vehicle up by its tires by wrapping around them. This method is noted in the pictures provided. We use this method as to not cause damage to vehicles and emulates the way a tow truck would pick up a vehicle from the drive wheels. Safely moving immobilized vehicles. in inspecting the evidence that has been provided we cannot in good conscience accept liability for these damages as there is no way we could have caused the damage; even in the slightest and especially to the extent that has been alleged against us.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:The complaint is not for the scrape on the bumper. The damage you did to my vehicle was the cracked windshield and the broken grille which was ripped from the front of the car. [redacted]'s tow truck driver witnessed your employee break the grille ripping it away from the car while pulling my car forward with a forklift. He also states that my windshield was fracked when he picked up my vehicle from you and the CHP report states my windshield was not fracked and the grille was not broken. Just do the right thing.
