Ms. [redacted] was originally quoted $57 for purse cleaning by Cashier [redacted] and she was told about the limit what we have with old pulse cleaning.  It was an old dirty purse.$57 price includes 30% discount.  [redacted] also talked about 20% discount if all stain get removed. When she came back to...

pick up on 9/7/2016 (Wednesday), different cashier [redacted] was working.  Ms. [redacted] ran out without any care to paying for the service.  [redacted] demanded she need to pay for the service or we will have to call the cop.Ms. [redacted] said "I don't care".  I've left a voice message she has two days to come and pay for the service or we will call the cop on Monday.  She has called back and setup the time 10AM to come on Saturday.  When she called me on Friday, she was coming up with other excuses now why she would not pay 1) she said the purse got damaged 2) If I am not at the store, she will not come pay.I had to raise my voice and demand the payment for the service we provided.  If I was not firm about it, she would have never come to drop off the payment.  She ran away and said she don't care.....How can any business deal with people like this?Limitation on stain remover on purse was explained and we even discounted the price.  At this point, she is a run away person not paying for the service not a valued customer.  We will not refund her the money because we are also so much frustrated with Ms. [redacted] Heenan's reckless behavior.  We will for sure call the cop when this happens again at our store.Thank you Kim for your cooperation.Sincerely,[redacted]Natural Cleaners

I am sorry to receive a complaint from Ms. [redacted],I did explain the following to the customer on 5/15/2017 when she visited back our store.About cleaning drapes....1) In some cases where shrinkage does occur, please be aware that shrinkage of up to 3% is allowable under law. 2) Water marks are...

due to contact with moisture while curtains are hanging, and the reaction with a build up of impurities collected on the fabric over time. Even condensation off the window can produce this moisture. Sometimes watermarks appear more obvious on drapes after the necessary drying process. Existing watermarks will rarely remove in the cleaning processes unless they are very recent, or if the use of an oxygenating bleaches fall within the care label recommendations.I've strongly recommended that we could  clean the drapes again using a hot water washing instead of dry cleaning. Being a 100% cotton fabric, we would have able to wash and press nicely to restore upto its full length.  Since the customer had 2 more panels at home, she agreed on bringing back and I did honor her $25 back with cash due to this inconvenience. This is not any case of damage.  I've fully offered a free re-cleaning but Ms. Binder refuse to give us another chance.  Instead she said she need to provide me the insurance policy number.  We could not provide her with the number because this could be resolved simply applying another cleaning. When we could not cleaning the drapes for the first time, we kindly offer another cleaning for free.  We do not buy many new sets of drapes simply because of the water marks on cotton drapes.  This water mark was created at her home not at the cleaners. We've returned her $25.I've promised a full refund if she can clean the drapes differently at any other cleaners.I've offered free recleaning.I am sorry but there is nothing more we can do about this particular situation.Thank you.Sincerely,[redacted]

The issue is that there were no water marks on the drapes when they were brought in to Natural Cleaners.  It was pointed out to the clerk that there were some food stains. The drapes hang in the living room well away from the kitchen.  They also do not touch any windows.  There was no disclaimer presented or signed. When I picked up the drapes I inspected one or two of the panels and found them to be clean. The water marks were noticed when attempting to rehang the drapes.  Two of the 8 panels were ok.  The six I brought back to have them recleaned.  The only solution I was given was the panels would be washed in hot water which would set the stains and possibly shrink them.  I declined.  Then I was offered to have them cleaned at another cleaner and Natural Cleaners would pay for the cleaning.  I am having that done now and will pick them up later this week.  Upon seeing if the water marks have been removed I will present the bill to Natural Cleaners.  If they have not been removed I will seek full compensation for the drapes since they cannot be used again.

Review: I have a 3 year old Waverly comforter that is part of a Waverly collection that we own (4 valences, 2 sets of drapes, 2 shams, 1 queen comforter, 1 bed skirt, 2 rugs) and our bedroom was professionally painted to coordinate with this bedding collection. Each year in June I have taken this comforter to Natural Cleaners in Brookfield for drycleaning. I have never taken it anywhere else, and I have never washed or dryed it in any machine. I take it there for drycleaning because it was a significant investment, and is part of our bedroom collection, and I didn't want the comforter to go through any washing machine or dryer because the care lable and the package insert said "dry clean". Each time I called ahead to get the price for drycleaning, and I specifically asked for drycleaning when I delivered it there. The comforter is only used a few months out of the year, during the coldest months, and it was in excellent condition (you did not have a category for just "damage" only for "additional damage", to be clear there was no damage when I dropped the comforter there). Toward the end of June, 2013, I picked up the comforter from Natural Cleaners and it was in the typical protective storage bag and I paid for it and took it home. It is a very heavy, thick comforter and I always store it in the closet, in the storage bag that they put it in, until fall. I have never had a problem with Natural Cleaners before. I took the comforter out of the bag yesterday to put in on the bed because it's getting much colder out and it is needed. Immediately I noticed that the coloring was significantly lighter. It was a dark indigo with light colored floral print. The dark indigo was the part that was significantly faded. I then noticed that the corners and the edges of the comforter had the poly fill bunched up and not uniformly distributed as I had dropped it off like. I also noticed that the comforter no longer fit the bed; it was much shorter length-wise but especially width-wise. It no longer draped down to the interface of the box spring and mattress, but hung well above the mattress. The manufacturing tags on the comforter were also badly frayed and faded also. This comforter looked like it had been washed in hot water and dryed in a dryer. It looked terrible. I called the store and talked with a man named Clement. He said that it probably was washed in hot water and dryed, and that is what they do unless the care tag says to dry clean. I told him that the tag did say to dry clean, and that if there was any doubt, someone should have called me (they have my phone number). I also stated that I specifically requested dry cleaning, not washing, and that didn't the people there know fabrics and materials well enough to know what not to do? He told me to bring the comforter in. I asked what he was willing to do because our set is ruined, and I cannot buy this as it is not made anymore. He was not willing to discuss what the store could do unless I brought the comforter in. I agreed to bring it in the next day and it was a 30 min. drive there each way.

I took the comforter to Natural Cleaners on 10/18/13 and Clement looked at it. I showed him a sham that had not been cleaned and the difference between the two. He agreed that there was a significant loss in color on the comforter. He also said that the dryer is what dislocates and bunches the poly fill. I remined thim that I asked for dry cleaning. The only thing he offered to do was to clean it again. I told him I was no longer comfortable with their cleaning it, and that it didn't need to be cleaned. It was just taken out of the bag from their having cleaned it. He said that was all he could do and that I could talk to the owner. He called the owner, [redacted], and handed me the phone.

Sam was argumentative and said there was no difference between dry cleaning and washing in water and a dryer. He said that even with dry cleaning he expects to see 5% shrinkage in an item each time it is dry cleaned. I asked if that was the first time and he said no, each time. That is ridiculous. He also stated that dry cleaning or machine washing will cause bunching up of the poly fill. If that is true, then they should warn customers about that ahead of time. He did agree that the color had faded. He was defensive and argumentative and the conversation was not productive. He also insinuated that perhaps I had taken it to a different drycleaners and that they had damaged it. I showed him how his store's tag is still attached to the comforter. He said I should have complained in the 48 hours after picking it up. I explained again that I had not had any problems with them in the past, and that the bag was sealed up and that I put it in the closet until I needed it. I told him that I just took it out of the bag yesterday and called them immediately after noticing the problems. He did not offer to do anything. I asked what he would be able to do since this was part of an expensive set and could not be replaced, and it was too short on the bed now, the poly was lumped up in the corners and on the edges, and the color looked terrible compared to the rest of the fabric in the collection. He said he would not do anything. I asked if he had insurance and he said yes, but he refused to file a claim. I politely told him that I would then be speaking with the Revdex.com and/or another local consumer advocacy group and he said there wasn't a need to do that. I told him I was trying to work with him but he didn't want to do anything and he ruined our comforter. I told him that if I could not get satisfaction through the Revdex.com and an consumer group, then I would take him to small claims court and he yelled at me "Do it!" as I left.

I took my comforter to Natural Cleaners for professional drycleaning and instead I got a color washed-out, shrunken, lumped up poly fill comforter back. I was also treated like a liar and Natural Cleaners did not stand behind their service. The tags are still on the comforter and they were able to see that I was a regular customer. I am very upset that my bedroom collection was ruined by Natural Cleaners and that they don't care and they are not willing to do anything to make this situation right. This is poor customer service, poor service and poor business practice. They need to be held accountable for what they damaged.Desired Settlement: If this item could be replaced, that would be satisfactory. Since the stores don't carry items for more than a few months, there is no way to replace this item. I have tried to contact the manufacturer in NY to see if there is any way of getting a replacement, but they have not responded and may not respond. It is doubtful that a replacement exists. This is the first time I have had a bedroom set that coordinates and matches and I took care to get the comforter professionally cleaned and packaged by Natural Cleaners once a year to make this last. Since the collection consists of dark indigo blue with a busy floral pattern and coordinating striped pattern mixed on all the items in the collection, trying to find a something that could replace the comforter alone would be difficult. The most practical solution would be to replace the set, which again consists of 4 valences, 2 sets of drapes, 2 shams, a skirt and the high quality comforter all by Waverly, 2 throw rugs, and the 2 cans of tonal matching, low VOC paint for the walls. If I could find a comparable Waverly set, then replacement of the whole set is the only fair solution. This set cost approximately $700 and the paint was approximately $100 from J. C. Licht. I didn't ask for them to ruin the comforter set. It looked fine the last two times it was cleaned at Natural Cleaners, but this time they ruined it.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com representative,

We regret to receive a complaint from our customer.

We've been trying hard to address the issue.

This comforter was treated twice according to our records. Drop off was on June 13th, 2013 and Pick up was on June 19th, 2013 at 4:03PM.

We've benn putting our atmost care in every garment care and we treat dozens of comforters everyday. Issues with her claim is the following.

1) There is no apparent damage according to the picture (Pictures show Pillow Sham and the comforter overlapping).

2) Claims should be made in 48 hours of pick up not after 4 month. This is clearly indicated in our receipt.

3) We've never acknowledge the damages the customer is claiming about by the phone or in person.

4) Any house hold items after 3 years of usage will experience wear and discoloration.

Our policy is to refund the cleaning cost back if the customer is unhappy. We are willing to send her $22.19 cleaning cost as a goodwill.

Please feel free to call me if you have any questions at 414-8972687.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

President

Review: During the week of April 7, 2014 my wife dropped off a number of pieces for dry cleaning. At the time of drop off my wife advised [redacted] that we wanted all pieces dry cleaned, regardless of the care label. When we got the order home on April 10, 2014 it was clear that the 4 pair or black knit pants were washed instead of dry cleaned. Each of the pants had shrunk and there was color lose. I took one pair back and explained the problem to Heather, see said she would advise the owner (Mr. [redacted]). We received a phone call from Mr. [redacted] stating that they follow the care label instead of the customers request. They tried to fix the one pair without any change. I left a message for Mr. [redacted] that the attempt to correct did not make a difference. I told him that because they did not dry clean they caused the damage, and expected an payment of $80.00 for the damaged garments. The items were not new but the cost to replace would be $160.00 for the 4 pair. I spent 25 years in the dry cleaning business so I'm aware of the correct handling of garments. We do not use dry cleaning for garment that we can wash. We requested dry cleaning to preserve the color and size. I left another message for Mr. [redacted], last week, asking him to pay the claim of $80.00, which I would pick up on Wednesday 4/30/14. Unfortunately there was no check.Desired Settlement: Mr. [redacted] should stand behind his work and follow customers requests, instead of dodging the problem with invalid comments. A settlement of $80.00 would be the correct outcome.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] was the formal dry cleaning business owner and I cannot believe he is making this as a claim.

First off, this particular pants will go through a shrinkage either by Dry cleaning or washing process 2nd off, Mr. [redacted] wife told us nothing about dry cleaning only option. She wanted to make sure there are creases on the pants according to [redacted]

Review: Dropped my beautiful taupe Suede fringe Coach handbag off to have cleaned by a leather specialist. I consulted the clerk at the counter a Hispanic girl with long blackish dark brown hair who was on her cell phone. Well asked her for estimate on how much to clean she said $70 she said she loved the purse and she buys Coach purses as well. Well I told her to go ahead and send it out she printed out a slip and handed it to me with no date or price, she said she wouldn't know the date and time until it was delivered so I got nervous and asked her to put that its a Designer Coach handbag and include the description and registration number stamped on inside of handbag. She replied oh I will don't worry I will include all the information so you can get it back. Well 3 weeks past and no call so I decided to call them August 9th at 12:30pmCST. The another worker picked up the phone I told her I was calling regarding the status of my Coach Taupe Fringe Handbag I dropped off last month and never received a call. SHe said we don't call because the date is on your pickup slip. I replied not mine because the other associate said she didn't know when it would come back. She then asked for my number and said oh yes it should be here because there is a price listed in the system. The cost is $74 hold on I'll check in the back. Five minutes later she returned to phone to say I can't find it, but it should be here because there's a price listed and it says its back. I said WHAT??? She then replied, the girl who enter your bag in our system will be here at 1pmCST; give me your name and number and I'll have her call you since she received it because I'm very busy and don't have time to look for your purse. WHAT!!! I'm the customer and you have my belongings what do you mean you are too busy to look for my purse. I couldn't believe it, still in shock.Desired Settlement: I want them to reimburse me for my Coach Purse!!! I want my $300.00!

Response:

Hi, I am responding to the complaint ID [redacted]. The purse that belongs to Ms. Love was already at the store for a while. The customer has picked up and she's happy. We did call her many times and left a message to have her pick up the item.

Review: I brought in coat for an alteration issue and gave specific instructions as to what needed to be done. Coat was returned with a single seam sewed at the bottom without any other of the alterations done. The company uses an outside seamstress who did not repair the item to specifications. I have called the owner to try and resolve the problem, and his only solution was to first say he would discount the $20 total repair to $18 and the next day offering $10 for the repair. I told him that this was unacceptable as she did not do what was quoted for the $20 but had only sewed one seam which was not worth $10. He became very belligerent and hung up on me, When I called him back he starting screaming at me and said what do you want--you want something for free--then told me he would not do anything else and again hung up. He was very unprofessional as I did not raise my voice to him, could barely get a word in between his intimidating rants and only was trying to explain my point-- that I had been quoted a price for a specific repair and that the seamstress did not do what was asked of her. If he was the owner, it was his responsibility to correct his employee if there is a problem and come up with a solution to solve the problem. The clerk at the store told me he came to the store but did not even look at my coat and that he did not speak to the seamstress about it. She denied the seamstress is a family member but would not state why the owner will not confront her with her mistake.Desired Settlement: I believe that this should have been dismissed without charge and that I should receive my money back for the four trips I've taken to this business to resolve this problem and the several phone calls with such disrespectful treatment by this business owner. If his employee could not do the repair as requested with the specifications that I gave and was quoted a price from those specifications, she should have done nothing. Sewing and 6 inch straight seam is worth about $1.00--no more.
