This school is highly unethical advertising itself as accredited when you apply but after taking numerous classes I found out when moving to NY that the school is not accredited nor accepted by NY state and the distance learning classes cannot be applied to your massage license in California either. I have been an MT since 1991 and went to NHI to take classes.

My tests were lost several times while being "graded," my records lost and then magically found (when they wanted money for a class I never received credit for), tests finally returned only after I complained. After they lost my remaining tests for a class I stopped taking any more classes--I complained but the administration changed 3 times so no one would respond for weeks. After moving to New York to care formy terminally ill mother I started to finally get communication--years later!

Finally they only responded when I requested transcripts I paid for. To make matters worse then I received threats about payments for their HHP program. I wasn't enrolled in a program--I was taking classes within a program but paid for individual classes up front one by one since I was already a nutritionist and MT and wanted to update skills since I had been practicng since 1991 and I needed CEUs for massage that were up to date.

Now they just had collections threaten me (after no bill) for the class I took which they lost my tests & payment records for and received no credit. All except 1 of the classes I took are not applicable to a massage license in any state and they have collections after me for a class that is useless as well when I have no credit for it any way even if it was accepted. Horrible experience after decades in the business.

Of greater concern is their fraudulent and misleading selling practices. They used to advertise on their website that they are highly accredited and after many complaints removed the wording but still imply such and directly lie when applying in person. Completely fraudulent. I am now being threatened by an agency to pay or they will take me to small claims court in CA which they know is impossible for me to attend since I live in NY. I cannot practice my profession without a license and have no more money for a new program to get licensed and am getting sued for a class that is worthless.
