This letter is in response to the complaint that Naturally Yours received regarding [redacted], dated June 30,2014.
My name is [redacted] and I am the sole owner of Naturally Yours. I have been in business for 9 years and have...

been a licensed cosmologist for over 20 years. I have performed hundreds of styles and applied as many colors to clients.
When the client came into the shop my beautician tested a section of her hair as we always do before applying to the entire head. The color she chose turned her hair so we thought that the color she chose would take. The color did not take as brightly as she would have llked. She had advised us that she had visit several other shops and was not satisfied with their services either.
As a professional I believe that the color did not turn as brightly as she would have liked due to the other dyes and chemicals that she already had in her hair.
[redacted] had paid with a credit card and wanted a full cash refund. I gave her a $60.00 gift card and also advised her to return to the shop in two to three weeks to maybe retouch her hair again or give her another style. She kept the $60.00 gift certificate and did not mention that she was reporting this incident to the Revdex.com.
I do not recall having any other complaints that would have gotten the Revdex.com involved. We normally are able to rectify any customer that is dissatisfied with other services or by allowing the colors to set before determining if a retouches would be effective.
By giving her a gift certificate and offering to redo her hair I feel this should have rectified the disputed amount of $60.00

The consumer called the Revdex.com and stated that she is satisfied with the business response. The consumer stated that she specifically went into the shop and asked if they specialize in natural hair and she was told yes. She picked out a color and showed a picture and when the process started she asked to see a tester piece of hair to make sure the color was right. She also asked that the highlights not touch her roots and that it did not have a yellowish color to it. The tech did apologize to the consumer and the owner went to the consumers job to give her a $60 gift certificate. The consumer wants the refund.

Review: While searching for a salon that specialize in Natural hair I came across "Naturally Yours". The service I needed done was ash blonde highlights, as my hair already had some auburn color to it. After showing the beautician and the salon owner the color I wanted, and did not want, as well as where in my hair I wanted the bleach (specifically not on my roots) they both insisted that it could be done and reassured me of how beautiful it was going to be. I asked her to test strand a piece of my hair so I would see the outcome color before having the bleach applied to my entire head, as she test strand a piece of my hair while I am waiting to see the outcome result she prepare the rest of my hair. At this point I am facing the T.V not watching her every move; before she allows me to see the outcome from the test strand or pre warns me she slabs the bleach on my entire head. I asked her why did you do that she says "It's not really turning". Although I Am furious I decide to keep my composure for the bleach is already in my head so I can only wait to see the outcome. After she was done the only color change I had was to my roots (the virgin hair) which was a yellowish auburn color both of my request in which I said I did not want leaving my hair light in the roots and black ends. The owner insisted they could fix it in two weeks after I stated I should not have to pay not to mention all the chemicals that sat in my hair under heat for nothing. The owner made me pay to $60.00 , I could not stay and dispute the situation because I had to be at work so I left, shortly after leaving I was so upset with my hair I went back to the salon spoke to the owner and beautician to get my refund the beautician apologized and said she messed up and thinks what went wrong was she did not put enough lifter in the dye but the owner would not give me my refund as I requested so I left. My hair looks horrible, very unprofessional, and similar to a clowns wig with spots of color all in my hair I am left with.Desired Settlement: For this matter to be settled, I would like a full refund and future customers aware of this salons unprofessional services.
