Dear [redacted]:I spoke with you a week ago regarding the above and wanted to respond. The customer, [redacted] called into my retail store to order 4 yards of mushroom soil. We delivered the mushroom soil as ordered on April 23, 2015 which he paid in full for. His...

wife called my store a few days later and said that the mushroom soil was not mushroom soil as she expected because she was a master gardener. I said I would look into the matter and call the company which sold it to me. A few days later before I could even respond, [redacted] came to my store with a sample of what was delivered and I said it did look like it had mulch mixed in with it. As I found out from the supplier, there is mulch hay in the compost and every delivery is different as it depends on how long the mushroom soil has sat and been decomposing.I told [redacted] without seeing what he got delivered that I would be happy to give him 2 free buckets of mushroom soil and no charge for delivery. He agreed with me that he could mix it in with the 4 buckets already delivered as when I asked him what he was going to do with it, he said he would use it and not just let it sit in a pile. We then shook hands and I asked him if he was happy with this decision which he said yes. So on May 5, 2015 he received 2 buckets of mushroom soil and no delivery charge which totaled $122,96. When [redacted] left here he indicated that he was happy with this decision. Unfortunately, a hand shake means nothing to [redacted].
We always suggest that our customers come and look at the product before having it delivered. That way there is no surprise as to the condition, color, shape etc. [redacted] did not come to my store to check out the soil, which I believe they should have.I find it unsettling that [redacted] did not contact me before you if they were still disgruntled, even though [redacted] saw the mushroom soil he had delivered,
