Very Poor Service!!!
We hired this company in May of 2021 and they came out on the 19th. Since then, we have not seen or heard from them since. We have called the office several times and are given numerous excuses. It is August 10, 2021; and still no service. I wouldn't recommend this company to any one as they are not in it for lawn care but just for the money. I can't even give them a star and if I could it would be a negative10 in star! I had to give them 1 star for them to accept my review.

Prepaid and not showing up
I will never use them again.I prepaid.a big mistake.it is now june 22 .last time they came was over 8 weeks ago.all my neighbors use true green or others.true green has been here 3 times already.when I call them they always have an excuse for not coming.I hate calling and begging for a service I prepaid for.this is a terrible outfit.gave them 3 years to get their act together.im done.

5MAY2021 Paid But No Service
May 5, 2021. Paid for full year of 5 applications on April 5th. Still have not had one application even though several of my neighbors had their applications a couple weeks ago?! Have called 3 times & was told they will be done with all 1st applications by the end of April. Last time I called (29th of April) I was told they could not get to me that week because they were servicing FT Wayne that week. Last time I called, I was also told a service request would be opened...a full week later, still no action & no word! I AM SO SORRY I SIGNED UP & PAID THE WHOLE YEAR FEE UP FRONT. My new grass that I planted last year is being choked out with weeds & the crabgrass, that should have been treated with preventive long before now is coming up everywhere. Spend most of my time pulling weeds, to no avail. I’m sure my neighbors wonder why I let my yard be taken over with weeds, only to contaminate them. The company has obviously taken on more than they can handle & even worse, they never have any answer for WHEN THEY WILL SERVICE ME. Terrible & DISHONEST way to run a company! Hard to believe they have time for silly service contest giveaways when they can’t even service the paid customers...I wonder if I would be treated this way had I not already paid for full year of 5 applications...you would think I could at least be told either WHEN they will get to me OR refund my money & tell me that I should just make other plans. I’ve tried to be patient & kind but I’m really fed up.

They did a teribble job
Today (3/21/2021) I found that my lawn has more weeds than it used be last year around this time, when Naturescape started working on fixing the weed problem. I tried to address this several times. Seems they recruited some inexperienced and lazy people to serve their customers, who paid them for a job. They are absolutely irresponsible and untrustworthy . Please waste your hard earned money. Find a different provider.

Terrible company!!!
Avoid this company! We hired them to do our landscaping. They don’t follow through with what they promise and you can’t get a hold of them. Jack’s wife answers the phone for him, says she will have him call. He nevertheless does. His workers had a string pulled taught across our sidewalk and my 79 year old mother tripped over it carrying groceries because they had totally blocked our driveway. She fell hard and we had to rush her to the dentist because her teeth were pushed in. Jack Youngman was a total jerk about it. I expected him to pay her dentist Bill, which was only about $200. He did, grudgingly, only because we could have sued him. We probably should have

Received a bill 1/18/18 for the 5 lawn care program. Prepaid on 2/13/18. Today is 5/18/18 and I have not had one lawn application. Our neighbors (different companies) have all received their first applications. 5 lawn care applications and it already the middle of May. When I called the company 2 weeks ago, they stated they were a little behind because of the snow storm. I have NOT heard anything from them since. Very disappointed. If they EVER SHOW UP, I will not be renewing my contract with this company for next year. They promised good service when I signed with them last year...did not deliver.

Like my wife normally does, paying in advance to take advantage of Naturescape Lawn discount, which I am against. Proof being as follows: first application was completed, this application to prevent dandelion growth but it didn't. I called and was told that I was one and a half weeks away from my next application and after that application if after two weeks if their wasn't any improvement to call for a service call. Naturescape Lawn advertises if customer is not satisfied to call for service and the problem will be taken care of. I call for service and told to wait for next application. My problem is happening now and will get worse in the weeks to come. If my wife did not already pay in advance, I would stop service with Naturescape and find another service that does what they say.

Review: They were hired to fertilize my yard.I paid up front, which I believe for 5xthru out the summer and fall. The very first application was fine....the second one was not very good.I notice some brown spots.I called and told them that I was concerned.THEY NEVER FOLLOWED UP.I NEVER Saw a person to come and look at the lawn.they said it was probably a little fungus and will go away.WELL THE 3rd application on 7/22/15.. OMG THEY BURNED MY YARD SO BAD!!!!! I even saw the technician as I was pulling out of my driveway that very day.I showed him some burned spots.and he said that they had some employees that weren't very good and they no longer work there,at Natures cape. I said whatever you do do t burn my lawn. He said " oh don't worry I sure won't ". OH HE SURE DID VERY BAD AND MY NEIGHBORS!!!!!I take pride in my yard and flowers!!!!! I couldn't believe what I saw! Did not notice it until early Saturday morning.I was gone all day Friday until very late.he Told me to water it the next evening and I did.I called the business the next day .I was hysterical and told them.I had to leave a message.I left 2 messages.now I want all my money back and this fixed!!!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: All my money back and this fixed.absolutly no chemicals EVER from them.but some how they have to make this right and total refund immediately!!!! I have to hire another lawn service!!! I have complained to them when second application was done.I did receive a call( message) that they were sorry and that's it!!!!!

Response:

We apologize for this customer's unsatisfactory experience. Between the poor communication from the branch and the browning of the lawn, this experience falls well short of our standards. We appreciate the customer's communication with us on this issue, and we want to make sure we address her concerns to the best of our ability. To this end, we have processed a full refund of the payment of $154.00 for the lawn program. This refund is being sent out today (7/29/15), and should be received in a few days. In addition, we have set up a free aeration and overseeding for this fall to help offset the condition of the lawn. We do hope this solution is satisfactory. It is our goal that every customer should be very happy with our service, and we apologize again for falling short of our goal in this case.

Disappointed with this company. Applied fertilizer, granular and liquid. Never blew off sidewalk or driveway. Asked them to aerate my lawn. Never did it. Not impressed.

Poor customer service, they came out twice for my lawn and never requested or confirmed either treatments. Then they told me that they are sending me to collections.

Many years ago, I would have highly recommend them. At the time they were excellent and certainly beat all other by miles. Unfortunately, they now, in my mind rank with the shoddy. Unfortunate, but business is what it is in this country. Its just another one of those that do not care, mix the records up and cannot communicate well. They never seem to update there information or get it wrong at the get go. Any ones guess. I find it far less expensive to do the work myself and know it is done well.

Naturescape called me two weeks ago to tell me they would be out to give me my first of five lawn treatments. They have not shown up or communicated with me at all. I am prepaid for five lawn treatments and I've been a loyal customer for over ten years. I've found that the quality of Naturescape's lawn treatments is poor and their reliability and customer service is non-existent. I'm very disappointed and will be looking for a different lawn service provider for next year.

Review: In July 2014 We contacted the Naturescape company in Elmhurst who were providing the service on our lawn to cancel future visits. And were told we'd be credited the balance on our prepaid account of $188. Unfortunately we have called 5 times and still have not gotten the credit. They have told us it's the corporate office delaying the credit. We would like to have this resolved this year. Thank you.Desired Settlement: We would like our credit refunded to us.

I started using Naturescape Lawn and 3 or 4 years ago just for the mosquito treatments. Then each year I added a service. This past year I used all of their services including weekly grass cutting.
I am very happy with all of their services and they were responsive to any problems or needs that came up.
I highly recommend them.

Review: Payment for lawn treatment for 5 was cashed but only three completed lawn treatment were done but long delayed until all kinds of weeds and crabgrass were exaggerating all over my lawn ( this was 2014). I have called numerous times to complain and expected my money back but nothing has resolved. I called customer service again this year in January for spring treatment that they still owed me since last year and was told they would come to do the treatment but today May 07 and no one has shown up yet. I expect my refund back and don't want to do business with this dishonest lawn care company.Desired Settlement: Refund

We apologize that are customer is unhappy with their experience with Naturescape. Our records show that 4 of the 5 lawn applications were completed last year. The final application was not done due an early snowfall. A credit was applied to our customer's account and this was used on an application that was completed on 05/08/2015. We are sorry that this wasn't completed in a more timely fashion. As a show of good faith we would like to offer an additional free lawn application or a refund of an application. If our customer could contact our office and let us know which they prefer, we would be happy to do this. We would like to thank our customer for bringing this matter to our attention so we can try to resolve this matter. We hope the steps we have taken will accomplish a resolution.

My grass is the worst it has been in the last 30 years. It has many weeds. I have asked for a refund.

Review: In the spring of last year, I had all of my sprinkler heads replaced by Badgerland Irrigation, including four along an on side of the property line between our home and our neighbors, [redacted] and [redacted]. Last fall, Naturescape did aeration work for them.

I eventually received a startup report from Badgerland stating that four of the heads near the property line were damaged by aeration. I do my own aeration, and did not do so last fall, as I aerate every other year. When I do aerate, I obviously mark all of the heads so as not to damage them.

I realized that Naturescape's person doing the work did not know that the sprinkler heads were there, however the the aeration work was done over onto my property. Had I known in advance that that he was going to do the work, I would most certainly have marked them for him/her. As a result of all of this, I will be billed for parts and labor by Badgerland to replace the sprinkler heads when they startup the system in the next month.

I have been unsuccessful in hearing back from anyone at Naturescape to see if they have business insurance to cover this sort of thing. In the past week I have left two voice mails, with no reply, and two emails with the same lack of response.Desired Settlement: I am looking for the business to contact me to discuss steps on how they will cover the costs for the damages to my sprinkler system

Response:

We sincerely apologize for the damage to the property, as well as the poor communication this customer received from our Madison branch. We have been in contact with this branch today (4/27/16), and we understand that a solution acceptable to the customer has been reached. We will take steps to ensure more prompt and considerate communication in the future, and we have made appropriate notes in our files to ensure that no further damage occurs on this customer's property. Of course, we will also be happy to pay for the necessary repairs. If this resolution is unsatisfactory in any way, we will gladly continue to work with the customer to achieve satisfaction.

Review: I contacted Naturescape to receive an estimate of what it would cost to cut my lawn. They told me they would need to see the actual property to determine a true estimate. They were going to stop out and then send out an estimate. I received an estimate that I thought was too high for one cut and was not interested in their service. I then, months, (almost 10 months later) received a bill for lawncare. I called them immediately. I asked about their practices and a signed contract that I agreed to have them cut my lawn. Of course, they couldn't produce it as it was never agreed to. I then asked about a notice of completed service perhaps left on the door in my absence and received the response that they don't do that. My concern is twofold, if I never agreed in writing to having them cut my lawn as well as receive any notice that they indeed did cut my lawn until 10 months later, what kind of business are they running? This conversation took place in May 2014. In that conversation, I was told they were going to look into in and I never heard a word back from them until I received a letter from Transworld for debit collection. I called both places immediately. Naturescape in return gave me the run around and kept telling me that their district manager would call me back. I am still waiting for that call. There was no agreement with me and Naturescape to cut my lawn. Their record keeping and customer service is poor. This is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: My desired outcomes would be for the bill to be dropped, my credit with Transworldsystems restored, and for them to stop mailing me brochures in regard to their respective services. I will never use this company and I will use social media to share my experience with friends, family and acquaintances to prevent them from the same problem.

It is also my desire for Naturescape to adopt new practices and procedures that are clear in regard to contracts for work performed. I clearly did not give them permission to cut my lawn but was billed for it being cut with no notification that they even did the work.

Response:

We are sorry for the communication problems our customer encountered. We have tried to contact our customer multiple times the past week to discuss this matter, because we would like to see it resolved. Our records show that we contacted our customer on 7/22/2013 and the mowing was requested to be done on 7/23 or 7/24. We completed the mowing on 7/23. Our database shows that a statement was sent to our customer in Aug, Sept, Oct, and Nov. It is very uncommon in the lawn care industry to require signed contracts. The main reason is that many times people will call and request service immediately. The process of getting a signed contract from each of our customers would slow down the service time. We would lose customers to other companies that do not require this. We have been in business for nearly 30 years and currently service over 80,000 customers. Naturescape would not risk their reputation by doing service for customers that did not request it. This account has recently been paid, and there will be no negative credit problems from [redacted]. As a show of good faith Naturescape will refund half of the amount paid. We hope this will resolve this matter, and again we apologize for any possible communication problems.

I had a terrible experience with this company after hiring them to do seasonal lawn mowing for us. They did a poor job, unacceptable quality, on two occasions in which I saw the mowing being done. I called and asked to cancel my service and remove any charges from my account as I would not be paying for the unacceptable work.
Two weeks later, I received a statement billing me for the two mowings that I called about. Really? We're going to go here? Now, I've had to call and ask to have the charges removed, and I'm getting all these reasons why they can't remove them. I am a very unhappy customer, and I expect them to waive these charges without question. As that too much to ask? I'm certainly not asking for a entire season's billing to be waived. I feel that my request is fair. I watched as they didn't even walk to my back yard or attempt to mow it at all. The front yard was only partially done. Unacceptable.

Review: I have used NatureScape for four years and I prepaid in December for my 5th year. I have yet to receive my first lawn application. They tell me that the first application is to be put on in March/April and we are now in May. I have called the Davenport, IA office three times. I called on 18 April but nobody answered the phone. I called on 19 April and asked the lady who answered the phone when they were going to apply my first application because the creeping Charlie and dandelions were taking over. She said she had no idea because the guys start their route before she gets to the office, but assured me it would be by the end of April. One week later on 26 April, I called again and talked to the guy who answered the phone and he said they would get to it by the end of the month and for sure within one week. Well, today has been one week and it's 3 May and they still have not showed up with no phone call. I prepaid $444 and I have received extremely poor customer service on the phone and have yet to receive my first application. If my 32,000 square foot yard is too big for them, I wish they would let me know so I can get somebody who can handle it.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the first application charge after completion. If they can't handle the five applications that I prepaid, I would like my money refunded so I can use one of their competitors.

Response:

We apologize for the slow service and poor communication this customer received, and we appreciate the opportunity to address this concern. Any time we must deviate from our expected time frame, we need to ensure that our customers are informed and aware of our reasoning. Furthermore, we must make a stronger effort to meet the appointments we set. We have been in touch with the customer and, in addition to refunding the full amount of the first application, we will be performing a free service call to ensure thorough weed control. As we understand it, this solution is satisfactory to the customer. However, if necessary, we will continue to work with the customer to meet and exceed expectations for our service.
