Review: I am writing today with a complaint regarding the staff and dean Sara at NVCC. I registered for classes this past summer to start classes in the fall of 2015. I didn't get the [redacted] paperwork done for myself in time and asked to be withdrawn from classes so I could get the paperwork done to start classes in Spring 2016. NVCC is stating that I owe them money for classes I never attended. I have spoken to many staff through phone or email and in a meeting with the dean today and the incompetence of all involved is incredible. Nobody is listening to what I am saying. When they are asked something, they don't seem to not know the answers and they keep repeating their scripted lines to me. My mom didn't authorize the credit card payment of over $700 and when I went online to put in a different card and tried to explain that I wouldn't be able to do anything without [redacted] or some type of financial aid it was processed as an authorization to go through on my mom's card. My mom has stated the charge wasn't authorized and she closed her account because of it. Only the $25 application fee was to be processed. I now can't continue my education in [redacted] because of this. I am very disappointed in this matter and can't believe that the meeting I had assigned with the dean, that she wasn't even prepared with proper paperwork/documentation. She had me sitting for about 10 minutes or more trying to get paperwork together. This should have been done before I sat down with her at 11am. I really wish that a legal American citizen had easier access to attend school to better their future instead of being denied. I feel so discriminated against and treated like a child. I am a 47 year old woman. I am contacting the Revdex.com and whomever else I may need to regarding this inappropriate matter. Unless NVCC can figure out priorities of getting a willing person educated. I am trying to better the lives of my children where I am a single mom. Thanks for letting someone down.Desired Settlement: Being able to have me go back to school and continue my education. The above is a letter I sent to the NVCC staff on this matter.
