[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The AC pump is right next to the new cooler lines that were also installed and there is a new zip tie that was installed during the transmission repairs I find it sad that John's only priority during all of this was to point fingers at everything else under the sun and not take any responsibility for a system that stopped working while the vehicle was in his possession I also took the truck back to him for two additional days The last time he told me he would repair the AC Instead all I get is him blaming everything he can think of for the issue

We installed a transmission in a *** 4xfor Dave about a week agoAfter Dave picked the truck up he stated the AC did not workWe checked it out and found that the year old AC compressor was worn out and need to be repairedDave
insisted it was something that we did and I explained to him that with all the high temperatures we have been having the old AC pump just couldn't keep up and the pump just stopped workingThe AC pump is feet away from the transmission and is on top of the motorWe work underneath the truck only for the transmission repair. I also offered him a solution and told him to have it checked out by an AC expert and if they feel we were the cause of the failure to call meThe pump was years old and just wore outSorry for any inconvenience but this problem had nothing to do with our repairThank you and God blessJohn

When a customer calls and gives you permission to tow a vehicle and gives you the keys that is consent to tear down the vehicle to the point of failure to determine the problem. That is why it was towed. There does not need to be a written work order since most customers do not have a second car to come down to fill out paperwork. Ohio law states that a verbal agreement is binding. It also states that the estimate can not exceed 25% of the original quote. IF. IF the original quote was 300.00 dollars to remove the transmission by law I can charge up to 25% more than that for unexpected encounters. That would make would make the bill 375.00 dollars plus 90.00 for the tow. The new bill is 465.00 plus tax 37.20 is 502.20 she paid 500.00. She owes me 2.20. [redacted] also stated that this was not her car. I said that would be grand theft auto if you had me pick it up and you were not authorized. She changed her story. The original 1400.00 to1500.00 quote was to repair the transmission. When the transmission was removed it could not be repaired for the standard rebuild price. The radiator had broke and filed the transmission with water and the engine with transmission fluid. What a mess. The new estimate now included getting a new radiator, flushing the motor, replacing the transmission and replacing the torque convertor. 2500.00 to 3000.00. [redacted] was upset and did not want to pay the agreed amount of 600.00 dollars. She states that she has pictures to prove the transmission was never tore down. SHOW ME !!!! SHOW ME.  SHOW ME. Since the truck was junk and not in great shape [redacted] got very defensive. I'm just the repair shop. Don't hate me because your truck is in need of extensive repair. I'm running a business of 58 years because we do good honest work. This is the first time anyone has made this claim. I'm sorry that you can not afford to repair your truck but I'm only the repair garage.

The customer was told upon first phone call that we have free towing with repairs. She did not want the vehicle repaired after she was told the extensive damage to the truck, so the towing is not free. The disassembly on ALL cars or trucks is 600.00 dollars to tear it down and disassemble the...

transmission to the point of failure. ALL CUSTOMERS are told the exact same thing. She said she was told 300.00 to remove and 300.00 to put it back together. That is a lie. When the transmission is removed and tore down it can not be put back unless repaired because all the gaskets and seals are destroyed when it is tore apart. The mom was trying to have the truck fixed for the son and she had little money. The truck and transmission and radiator were junk. The repair involved way more than fixing the transmission which [redacted] could not afford. [redacted] did not want to pay me for my time to tear it down and tow since they were not going to have it fixed. Thank you. John

The AC JUST WORE OUT. If you can get ANY reputable shop to say that the installation of ANYTHING we did affected the ac compressor you call me. We will be more the happy to fix it. After we checked it, we determined that the failure was from old age and it had just wore out. The same old age that made the transmission fail that we fixed. You have a truck that is ten years old. Things wear out. GET IT CHECKED OUT. We are not to blame. If you do not know anyone, I can recommend you to [redacted] at [redacted] dealership. They are EXPERTS. I will await the verdict. Thanks. John
