I have recorded voice mails from [redacted] Anderson saying that they were responsible. The response by the business: [redacted] Anderson was not able to go up in the attic as he had a neck collar on. I have pictures of rolled pink insulation between the rafters that were supposed to be covered with  yellow foam insulation. The insulation was installed incorrectly.
Regards,
[redacted]

We are not denying that the insulation we installed did not have
any effect on the climate in the house. However, the insulation alone was not
the sole reason for the mold to develop. It is in our opinion that the home was
not properly cared for over an extended period of time. If faster action had
been taken by the owner, the problem could have been mitigated before it became
a very costly issue.
If the recording of [redacted] Anderson was obtained legally, we
would ask that it be produced.
Also, spray foam insulation is not applied over fiberglass. It
is applied to the underside of the roof, so it was in fact installed correctly.

Upon [redacted] Anderson's visit to the home he thought there was a chance foam may not have traveled down to the eaves enough to make the installation correct, but [redacted], who had initially made the first site visit assured [redacted] that it was in fact installed correctly...

and according to building standards. The insulation we installed performed as specified by making the house tighter and more energy efficient. Due to negligence by the homeowner, issues regarding mold and mildew appeared. The causes can vary and are often directly related house cleaning habits, lack of ventilation and the fact that the home stood vacant for quite some time. The insulation we installed did make the home tighter as required to lower energy cost. There is a casual relationship between the insulation and the mold due to the tightness of the home, however a responsible person would have noticed the problem and rectified before it became a more costly issue possibly requiring some renovation. Anderson does not feel responsible for the mold issues because the house was not taken care of and there are too many variables which could have led to the mold to develop in the first placeTell us why here...

Our position is that the home was improperly cared for and lacked any real maintenance, sitting vacant for a period of time which created the present problems. We performed work on the home in early March of 2009 and I believe it was not till March of 2014 that we were notified of the problem, five years later.
