First I want to thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaintTime is the most precious thing we have, so I try to answer all three and a half days are short as possible, not retelling went to the execution of this project Briefly about myselfI'm twelve years the construction businessDuring all this time my clients was a large number of people, different people in the full sense of the wordDuring all this time I have not a single never used any kind of advertising to attract and getting a jobDuring all this time I have not spent a single day at home waiting for work, more than that, even during the crisis in 2008, and after my work schedule always was booked up (Just for information at the same time, people with experience of doing the same business three times more than my experience of going out of business.) So the question arises involuntarilyDue to what and how I managed to survive during the crisis successfully and continue to work to this dayThis question once answered one of my customer After a long wait for one of my clients, we started his projectAnd I asked hisWhy have you waited so long, you could hire any other contractor , and get it done long time ago .?His answer was:"If I had to wait another half a year, I would have waited, because what you're doing high-quality work .my friends highly recommended you to me They got completely satisfied after you doneThey trusted their home to your hands so I do How businessmen can react on such words? In my opinion it is the most expensive fees for services rendered, kind words, a client smileThis is the main purpose of business that the customer was satisfied and escorted us with a satisfactory smileWith a smile of gratitude According to this for all these years in the business I have not had a single case would be when my client was not satisfied with the work they got done at their home using me.I am proud to say that many developers call me the best of the bestWhat else I can say , if I do something I do it like for my self or do not do nothingSince I was taught from childhood As for this project, in which the complaint came at meI never do anything on its own discretionBefore starting any project, and on the whole it over to completion, for any work arising issues is conducted only with permission of the clientBecause this is his home, and only he can decide what to doI can only give its recommendations on the basis of the arisen situation as in my opinion it would be better to do This project has been no exception to the ruleAnd I declare with full responsibilityWhat do all the work from the beginning to the end were carried out with the permission of my client, [redacted] All changes and adjustments in the project were explained and are made with the permission and approval of my client [redacted] All materials have been demonstrated and approved for use by my client [redacted] before the beginning of the project Once again I want to thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint

I am rejecting this response because:The business owner did not offer any meaningful reply, he only touts his reputation and gives background info on himself.  Much of his response does not even make sense.  Bottom line is that in THIS case, he did NOT complete work as agreed to, knew of our dissatisfaction and demanded full payment in cash regardless via threats.   He claims we approved everything but we were not even home when work was done and did not actually see the finished product until two weeks later.  He offers no proof of so-called approvals we gave him. Why would we approve something that is the wrong color and is not anything like he photo that was given beforehand on which to model the work?   How did he come to receive the monies marked "paid" on attached document?  It was at my home where we met to discuss our dissatisfaction and where he proceeded to threaten to return to the property and tear down the structure.   I had notified him via text and phone call from my husband that we were unhappy with the work and it was not completed to the specifications we agreed to, so that is why he was to come to our home that morning--for a discussion of how to resolve the problems.  He refused to have a reasonable discussion and the conversation devolved into him threatening us and screaming at 7:30 a.m. outside my home.   He was given a photo before work started of what we wanted the finished product to look like (attached).  What we are left with bears no resemblance and the wrong color roof was applied.  I demand my money back since it was given under duress.  A signed document indicating my dissatisfaction, along with numerous email exchanges, proves that.  This man threatened me and my husband and our property if cash was not handed over.  Work is not completed and I want the money back to hire a reputable  company to complete the work. Perhaps he has done quality work according to specifications in the past, but with us he failed to meet expectations that were clearly defined in pictures and he refused to fix the problems identified.  I want a refund of the monies I was forced to pay so I can get the job completed properly as soon as possible.Photo 1 shows picture of what I wanted i.e.trimmed out, finished look for porch.  He received this before agreeing to start project /Photo 2 & 3 finished work we were left with.  Work was done while we were away on vacation.  Once we returned we notified him that wrong color roof was applied and some fixes needed to be made to try to get it to where it was supposed to be in terms of finished look and amount of trim, columns, etc.   Problems: crown hung wrong, little or no trim like picture, columns wider than boxes supporting them, pencil marks, holes not filled, wrong color roof that does not match roof of main house which was what we wanted and any reputable contractor would want to provide his client.  He also told us he had to piece together ceiling because material did not come in that size.  We have since found out that that is simply not true.  There is no need for ceiling to be three separate pieces with two seams down the center.photo 10 is document I insisted he sign in order to document when the money was exchanged and under what circumstances.  It was clear by the comment he added that he knew full well we were not satisfied and were forced to pay him anyway out of fear of retribution.
