I had the worst experience with Rooms to Go! I bought furniture from them over a week ago and delivery was scheduled for yesterday from 1-pmI left work at 12ish to meet them at my house because they would not give me an estimate or timetable as to when they would arriveWell, needless to say I waited around and no one ever showed upWell, about 4:almost 5pm they call and say that they are running behind and that they were changing the time frame to anytime between and 7pm and that they would call me when they were on their wayI hang up and then proceed to call customer service where I was placed on hold and after ten minutes on hold they disconnect the callI proceeded to call them back again and I proceed to tell the lady on the phone that I was not happy about this at all because I took off work to meet them and they weren't even courteous enough to call and tell me this earlierI tell the lady that this was unacceptable because I have a life and I have things planned already for the afternoon and that I should be compensated or reimbursed or something for this inconvenienceShe puts me on hold and comes back on the phone and tells me that she cannot reimburse my delivery but that she can give me a $merchandise creditI proceed to ask for a manager at this point and she puts me on hold again and then comes back and tells me that she can reimburse me half my delivery feeSo I accepted that and she again stated that the driver will call me when he was on his waySo again I waited around and my husband calls and I tell him what happened with the deliveryHe calls the Glenwood Ave Raleigh NC store and he calls me back stating that they said the delivery has been canceled and that were now going to deliver the furniture the next dayI told him that could not be right because I was just on the phone and the lady said they were coming today and that driver would call me when he was on his wayIt is now about 6pmSo I call the store and inquire about this and she says we told your husband that the truck has broken down and they will be coming tomorrow with the furniture and that they would be reimbursing him half of the delivery feeAt this point I was beyond *** and I instructed the lady to cancel the whole entire ORDERI will not nor can I afford to miss any more time at work because of some furniture delivery and I did not want the furniture ANYMORE and I wanted my money backShe proceeds to tell me because I paid with a debit card it would take 10-business days and they would be sending a check from corporateI hung up the phone and I proceeded to the store at this point because I wanted a refund and nothing else to do with Rooms to goWhen I get to the store and ask for a manager he proceeds to tell me that he apologizes for the inconvenience but he could not give me a refund until the furniture was back at the warehouseI ask him how long this would take and he says it should be there in a day or twoHe then proceeds to say that he could give me a refund at the store if I come back in and swipe my debit cardI ask him why did the lady say over the phone that they it would take 10-business days, he says it was because the she didn't read all the paperworkThis pretty much tells me that she just said anything to get me off the phoneHe then proceeds to tell me that he can DO ME A FAVOR and deliver the furniture for free if I still wanted itI told him NO, I do not want the furniture and I wanted my money back ASAPSo he tells me to come back on Monday and swipe my debit card and the money will go back on my cardWell, this morning I get a call from Rooms to Go as I am on my way to work and the lady says that the driver is running early and that they would be at my house in a matter of minutesI tell the lady that the order was canceled and that no one should be delivering anythingThis tells me that no one ever canceled my order!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING AT ROOMS TO GO EVER AGAIN AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW AND DON'T KNOW ABOUT THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEAND IF I DONT GET MY MONEY BACK IN A TIMELY MANNER I WILL BE PURSUING LEGAL ACTION!!!

We purchased a leather Couch, Loveseat and Chair from Rooms To Go in Raleigh NC on October 12, Delivery of the furniture was on October 31stWithin a few short months that set was showing wear on the leather and the dye was rubbing offThe customer service person from Rooms To Go came out inspected the set and told us this was a defectRooms to Go offered a new setThey came out and replaced themNow the second set is doing the same thingWe contacted Rooms to Go on Oct 26, about this issue-- Again this is the second set! They sent a customer service person out to look at it on Nov 15, On Nov I was told that we could not get a refund we had to expect a store creditWe were told this by Rooms to Go customer Service and also our local store in RaleighThis seems unreasonable given that we have had sets in a short amount of time that have had an issueWe specifically want a leather living room set because we have children.....and we do not want another leather set from themAnd we dont want a credit for furniture we dont needWe are very disappointed in the quality of their products and the way this matter is being handledDO NOT BUY LEATHER HERE!!!
