Provincial guidelinesThis was done at my costTo claim the son went out and found no residue is absurdit leaves no residue and a layman can't tell by rubbing plantsI was the person who did the treatmentsTrust me they were doneThe lawn has been fertilized also at my costThe post care instructions have never been followedThey placed sprinkler on the lawn and washed the seed away as they were told not to doThe lawn is not being mowed anywhere near enough which is needed to help it fill inThe insect problem that started this whole repair in my opinion has never been corrected and upon looking today is back worse than ever and is adding to the present stateFor the record I had nothing to do with the treatment of this and did recommend that they get it treated in subsequent years which was never followedThese three items are in my view as much to blame for any bare areasTwo trees out front were scheduled to be limbed up to allow more sun inThis work was cancelled and never carried outThey were told this was needed to help get the grass growingThere is an area on the side of the house where there is no rain gutterThis was brought to their attention due to possible washout but nothing was doneAlso left out was a bed that was constructed at no additional charge on the front of the houseThey in my opinion have not even come close to holding up their end in getting this lawn establishedI am reluctant to even back down on this and should send it to litigation but my proposal is that they pay $*** of the original amountGiving that I have done $*** in extras without adding them to the bill I see this as more than fairThis amount is not open to negotiation

The sprinklers were not put on to wash away the seed as I was told to only spray the grass each day with the hoseI was only informed about putting the sprinkler on after asking when I could do it.(as noted in my email to him)The grass only cut once there was grass, but there also lots of weeds(I have pictures)
There was no mention of cutting the trees except for what this company did(two trees by road will be cut back to lift limbs of driveway and road but not too high as to expose house)
I did as instructed by all means and the ground is harder then beforeI have the pictures proving that my grass has many bare spots and there are weeds
About bring the gutter to my attention was also was never mentionedThis is the peak side of the house with only one small part that has no gutter and the grass is growing there, but the other part where no gutter is required
It appears that there are comments about conversations that never took placeEven people commented on how poor a quality of work was doneI have myself added more grass seedThe ground is just too hard for anything to penetrate into it to grow
As for the top grade of soil that was to have been used, looked like old brown clumpy soil.The circle in from tat was a small rock garden rocks were removed and some of that soil was usedI know that the front will have to be redone again and this time with better top soil and seed
It was mentioned on an invoice (that in the spring there was to be slow release fertilizer and weed control to make sure its weed free and filled in.) If it was done then the bare spots I had pictures of before still show they are bare
I do not feel that the amount being asked for is reasonableAs per the invoices about repairing the bare spots and all this extra work that he provided this spring, don't really seem to have been fixed or provided

All lawns get weeds that need to be treated if they are to be removedThe mowing has never been on a regular basis which is required to help establish the turfThe tree limbing was never done since the customer removed it from the workThis is indicated by the forwarded estimateThere is no mention of the bed creation along the house that was not charged forThey are giving us no credit for anything and not accepting any blame for the state of the turfTo walk on it now it is being destroyed by the same problem that caused the turf damage originally but nothing is being doneI am sure I will get blamed for thatI will accept the offer to just get rid of this situationI do this still standing by my belief that we did exactly what we were supposed to doI will accept payment in the form of cheque only
