Review: On February 14, 2013, I purchased 4 Restaurant Certificates from NEA Member Benefits Click N Save. The certificates were $4 each for a $25 gift certificate to [redacted]. Upon attempting to redeem the coupons, the restaurant refused and said they had not authorized them and did not accept them. In turn, I had to pay for a $45 meal as I did not have the gift certificate to go toward it. I contacted NEAMB on Feb. 19. The representative directed me to the Affinity Perks website to fill out the Contact Us tab and to explain the situation. I did so. I received an auto reply stating I would be contacted within 48 hrs. with a response. It has been nearly 2 weeks and I can not get a response from anyone as to this issue in regards to refunding my money for these gift certificate purchases which the restaurant does not honor and said they did not authorize.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $16 used to purchase the 4 certificates.

I am rejecting this response because:

I was issued some type of "rewards points" to redeem other certificates. 1. No other restaurants in my area, except one, honor these. I do not eat at that restaurant. 2. I bought certificates for what where I wanted to eat. Not only was it embarassing when they didn't accept them, as if they were fraudulent and told me they didn't authorize them, I then ended up paying for the entire meal which was quite expensive.

Finally, I can see that this business is a scam and they have no intention of refunding my money. I find it questionable as to how/why these restaurants are placed on this list only for you to visit and them tell you they didn't authorize anything and have called the business several times to complain. Why would I take that risk of getting more certificates, be out more money and embarassment at another establishment.

I have accepted the fact that they will not refund my money for an item I purchased which was advertised falsely. However, I want others to know of this so they don't fall into the same trap.
