Review: I own a house in El Dorado County, a few miles west of Placerville. It is rented to a long-term tenant. In February 2014, I hired Ned Carnett to pump the septic system. When his truck came out to do the work, the driver was careless, causing damage to my asphalt driveway, in several places. Mr. [redacted] refused to respond to my repeated calls and requests for repair. Ultimately, I gave up on pursuing repair. I recently decided to file this complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like Mr. [redacted] to send a qualified, quality paving contractor out to cut out the damaged areas and fix them.

Review: This complaint against Ned Carnetts Septic Service is due to a negligent septic system inspection performed on 04/24/2012. The septic system passed the inspection. I purchased the house in July 2012. In November 2013 the house plumbing was backing up, and we called for a routine septic pump by another company. It was discovered at that time the bottom third of the tank was full of solid matter consisting of rock, wood, and dirt. The water flow was disrupted, and the water kept pooling at the top of the tank, indicating no water flow to the leach lines. This condition of the tank showed many years of deferred maintenance, a disregard for pumping the tank for many years, and the condition would not have arisen in only a year's time. The entire system was replaced in December 2013. I have attempted contact with Carnett Septic on two occasions in attempt to have an informal discussion relating to this matter. They did not respond on either occassion.Desired Settlement: I am proceeding with a small claims suit.

We received via Priority mail a letter dated 1-20-14 from Kristine and Mark Teshima (copy of letter enclosed) approximately 21 months after we inspected the system. We get the letter stating they replaced tank and leach lines and we owe $8,862.50. This letter represents the only contact we have received from The [redacted] regarding this matter. We were never given the opportunity to see if the problem existed or any contributing factors that could cause a problem.

We have been in business over 40 years and we have always responded to our customer's needs. We were not given the opportunity to check this system.

We have enclosed our inspection and disclosure.
