I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.None of my complaint has been addressedI think it is pitiful that a businessman would result to lying instead of taking responsibility for his work and his mistakesWhen he says he installed the floor when it came in, that's just a plain out lie, as is the statement about the tub surround and the bathroom medicine cabinetsAgain, about not being installation professionals - lieEither you tell a client you can/will do something or you don'tThe contractor has falsified information about replacing original things (bathroom cabinet, tub surround), denied knowledge and responsibility about wait times, left out important information about his own mistakes and reluctance to answer for them and reluctance to assure us we were not being billed for the labor hours used in his mistakes, not acknowledged difficulty in reaching him and him answering, and tried to provide general information about his business to skirt around the actual circumstances of this jobUsing words like, "the house sale may have been December 30" infers that he didn't know that, but he didThe bid was signed on December and we called him and spoke to him on January to confirm the completion of the saleThe statement that a secretary is there to answer - again attempt to mislead...no one answered or returned calls for three weeksI would request that the dispute specialist for the Revdex.com follow up with their processes of our complaint, as it has not been addressedThis contractor's response has shown a lack of honesty or responsibility, which makes communicating directly with him a waste of time for usFurthermore we have come to learn that he spent the majority of his "missing" time with us working on his own new renovation project, a shop for him to display his quality workHe was dishonest and unreliableThe money he attributes to being the reason for quitting was stated earlier by him to not be due until the project completion, and if it were to be paid earlier, it would be at the client's discretionWe have been blessed to have a new contractor who has done more work in days than this contractor did in monthsAdditionally, he's done it correctly and with integrityFurther issues which have surfaced with the work done by this contractor are that the electric work is off, the toilet base was wrong, and the holes cut in the ceiling for can lights were in places that couldn't work because they were right where beams were I hope the Revdex.com can help on some level greater that mediating a back and forth between this business and IWe have begun to pursue legal counselPlease let us know if this is the best option to proceed.

September 21, 2017Revdex.comHoliday DriveSuite 220Pittsburgh, PA 15220Re: *** *** *** ** ***Complaint# ***Dear Sirs:In response to *** ***'s complaint. The job at the Homeowners house started at the end of December with multiple jobs to be completedThe initial
design of the kitchen was changed shortly after starting and switched from our cabinet supplier to a box store suppling cabinetWe spent hours on the phone and countless trips to the box store and measuring just to be changed by the HomeownerThe Homeowner changed sizes, on kitchen cabinets continuallyOf course, the shipment was delivered and the cabinets didn’t fitThis was due the box store and homeowner changing sizesWe then spent more time re-measuring and re -visiting the box store to finally ordering the cabinets for the second timeHopefully the correct sizeAs of September 11, 2017, we still have not received the cabinetsThroughout the entire construction period, product was purchased and installed and then removed because homeowner would see things on Pinterest and change their minds and expect it to be changed at no chargeCustomers also added chimney caps, direct hot water heat, plumbing, electrical, bathroom panels removing radiators and installing baseboard radiators, among many other items that was in addition to the contractThese jobs were completed in May and June for an additional total of $ 4,As of September 21, 2017, we have not received payment for work completedOn September 11th, we terminated our business from work at homeowner’s residence due to nonpayment of jobs completedThere were many other reasons throughout the job that lead us to this decisionAlong with if the Homeowner was not going to pay us on a timely manner then we should not continue to work knowing that we would probably not get paid for future workThe Homeowner asked us to continue working on the bathroom to finish it and to order in the change order of faucets and the change order of shower faucetWe told the homeowner we would order faucets in good faith and he was to check to see why the money was not released yetHe stated there was no reason why it was not releasedThe bathroom faucets and shower faucets have been at our location waiting for payment before installingStill no payment receivedThis is the first job in thirteen and one-half years that we have terminated ourselves from the job due to Homeowner unable to make firm and timely decisions on materialAs well as for non-payment for work completed. We continue to stand behind our workmanship and work ethicsTo work with our customers in every way possible to achieve their home improvement needs.Thank You, Keith K***Owner

[redacted] The order and conditions of the events as reported by the contractor is severely misreported. I stand by my original complaint. Though the sale of the home was 12/30/2016, Keith was unreachable by phone and did not reach out to us unitl late January. We thought he was on vacation but he shrugged and said he hadn't been. He plastered over an unstable wet ceiling. He began to paint our ceiling without removing the lights as bid out. He laid concrete board over 3 layer of subfloor, creating a disjointed floor of 4 inches. The concrete board he relayed is now cracked and coming apart, other contractors have told us it is fake concrete board. He found mold under crumbled plaster and replastered over it without treating it.The plastering he did in another spot now shows as a crack going down from the ceiling to the floor. The same ceiling he plastered shows a crack going across it.He put drywall in the bathroom and there is now a horizontal line at waist-height across the entire wall where the new drywall ended. The new paint over the new drywall is textured and pkly, very different than the rest of the room.He brought in his own bathtub without consulting with us.He mismatched tub surround to the bathtub, leaving a 1/3 in gap that will result in mold and mildew. He left cabinets in the bathroom and molding with unfinished paint jobs. The floor that he took 3 weeks to lay in the bathroom (it sat in the garage for three weeks, when we asked when it would be installed the answer was "when it comes in" though he had already stored it there 3 weeks prior) came up and crumpled under the washing machine, leaving an exposed floor to any moisture from possible washing machine mishaps. He installed the washing machine without reading the directions and left the bolts fastened in the basin, and told me to run it and try it out. Well...That's one floor. There's so much more.

October 13, 201 7Revdex.com400 Holiday DriveSuite 220Pittsburgh, PA 15220Re: [redacted] and [redacted], ID [redacted]Dear Sirs:Answering complaint:The sale of the home may have been on December 30, 201 6 as far as we know. [redacted] stated she tried to reach out to me but I was unresponsive until late January. We are normally booked out at least one month in advanced. And also, I have a Secretary in office to receive calls Monday — Friday 8am - 4pm to receive calls. The plaster issue we primed the ceiling and cut in the edges up to the lights. The lights were then removed and ceiling holes were patched and repaired. These areas was sanded and primed. The ceiling was given a second coat of primer and two coats of paint.Concrete board, Customer states that we created disjointed floor of 4 inches in the kitchen area, we removed 3 layers of vinyl flooring, 1 layer of Luwan, 1 layer of tongue and grooved board removing 1 Va" of flooring down to sub flooring. We re-secured sub floor and added V2” cement board. The floor at this point would be 3/1” below what was previously there allowing for tile and mortar.Mold when we left the job there was no site of mold or cracks in drywall.Bathtub and tub surround was installed both matching. Then Homeowner decided to change to an arched design on tub surround and gave us pictures from Lowes. The arched tub surround was to match panels that was purchased and not paid for from a design she had seen on Pinterest. We install the tub surround as Homeowner requested and the panels were never used.Bathroom cabinets were installed and then changed and re-installed two more times to suit Homeowners preference. Changing sizes on cabinets changed regularly due to homeowners request.Bathroom floor was ordered, picked up and installed, it did not lay in any one’s garage for three weeks.Washing machine, Homeowner request us to installed because home owner did not want to pay the appliance company to install. We advised the Homeowner that we were not appliance techs but we would install if they wanted us to.As stated in prior correspondence we left this job due to Homeowner unwilling to pay for projects completed and material purchased. And also, the inability of the Homeowner to make decisions on past and future projects. We continue to serve our good customers and paying customers as we have for the past 14 years and will continue to do so in the future.Thank you for your co-operation in this matter,Keith K[redacted]Owner

in response to the Complaint filed by [redacted]:August 3, 2017 Mr. [redacted] called and wanted to have a free estimate completed to complete an outdoor fishpond and waterfall.August 10, 2017 the estimate was completed and sent to Mr, [redacted]. After reviewing the written estimate, we asked the...

homeowner for 1/2 down to schedule the job. We received 1/2 down ($1850.00) for work to start after Sept 15, 2017. The date was set due to being booked this far in advance. After homeowner paid with credit card $ 1850.00 on August 14. 2017 we processed the card. On August 27th the job was cancelled and requested a refund. After checking with our local bank to verify the funds were processed we then called our credit card processer (Central Payment) and asked what the fee would be for processing the credit card. We were told to hold 5% plus $ .25 processing fee until our monthly statement was completed. We then subtracted $ 92.75 (5%) and gave Mr. [redacted] a check for $ 1,757.25 on August 29, 2017.After hearing from Mr. [redacted] that he thought the $ 92.75 should not be withheld from his refund, Central payment was called. Our statement was just completed and only the amount of $ 34.30 plus $.25 was charged to our account. Immediately on 9/5/17 Mr, [redacted] was issued a check of $ 57.90 for the difference,Thank you,Keith K[redacted] Owner

Re: Claim # [redacted] Dear Ms. [redacted]:On June 29, 2015 my company received a call from Mr. [redacted] requesting a free estimate. The estimate was scheduled and completed on July 6, 2015. The estimate was prepared and mailed to the homeowner on September 1, 2015 listing what was to be done and...

what the cost would be. Along with the estimate, a letter requesting a down payment was mailed. This letter states that before any job is listed on our schedule, we must receive a payment of one-half of the total estimated amount. After a payment for half down is received, the job is then added to our schedule to be completed in the order it was received. The down payments are kept in a lock box and not cashed until two to three days before the start date of the job to permit the purchase of materials for the job. The remaining balance for the work performed is due upon completion of the job.In Mr. [redacted]’s case, he forwarded a credit card check, which had an expiration date. My company does not receive many credit card checks, so his check was placed in the lock box, and I did not realize at that time there was an expiration date on the check. After the receipt of the check, Mr. [redacted]’s job was in added to my schedule as is normal procedure.Mr. [redacted] called my office on October 21, 2015. At that time, he was told that the down payment checks are not deposited until the job is ready to be started. He stated that he didn't know what to do as the expiration date on the check had expired. Mr. [redacted] stated that he would contact the credit card company, and let us know what information he obtained. There was no further contact from Mr. [redacted].Thereafter, I received the letter from the Revdex.com. We have sent Mr. [redacted] a written apology for my oversight and returned the uncashed check to Mr. [redacted]. A copy of the letter to Mr. [redacted] is enclosed. If you have any questions, please call me at the above telephone number.Very truly yours,Owner

Review: In august I needed a handyman to put down a wood floor and build a closet in a bedroom, so I called this need a hand handyman service for an estimate I asked how long before I get the estimate he said a couple days, It took four weeks before I got the estimate, I should have known then not to hire him but no I did, and part of the contract was I had to send him half of the estimate before he start the job and I did that too, a check for 980.00 was sent. After a few weeks passed and the check was not cashed I called to find out when the job was going to be done and if I had to change the check because the check had an expiration date on it. This dude never called me back after leaving at least four msg. no call back. This tells me I don't want the service and this handy man is not a good service. I want my check back.Desired Settlement: I just want my check back
