The Trade Summary shows that the allowance for siding is $not $The mailbox was $43.95. The mailbox I mentioned in the correspondece Mr*** states he had yet to receive. I compromised and said I would accecpt a check for $or the garage door. There is a balance of approx$1100, I don't care how he explains the breakdown. Thank ypu, *** ***

Do not hire this company Neff construction did a vinyl siding repair job before closing for a house I purchasedThe home inspector's report said that the siding was improperly installed, noting several areas where the siding was already buckling out after only two monthsHe also noted that the panels were nailed too tightly, which does not allow the panels to expand and contract with temperature changes as per manufacturer instructionsHe recommended all of the siding they had done be taken down and replacedThe seller sent the contractor back to the house and they removed and replaced the or buckling panels and said it was all fixedWhen I saw the "fix"I contacted my realtor to let the seller know this was unacceptableThe seller sent the contractor back again with explicit instructions to remove all the siding and redo it, which they didWe closed on the house and all was well for about a month, until we had a storm and panels blew off of the top section of my story homeThe panels on the ground had some kind of adhesive on the back of them to try to glue them to the houseIt appears they installed the lower section portion correctly and when they got higher than their ladder would go they just glued it on (improper installation and voiding warranty)Instead of getting scaffolding and doing it right, they just cut corners to get through the closingAfter my panels blew off, I called their office times but no one ever answeredI left three voicemails to call me back and never heard from anyone, even when I threatened to write this negative review and take legal actionStill no response

This started when I received a notice of pending legal action of a lein on my home. Even after I faxed the information requested, Mr*** did not pay them unitl I filed with Revdex.comThis did not inspire my trust. I believe there is a large discrepancy between the work done and the money paid by my insurance company. I will seek another opinion and perhaps legal assistance before I listen to his interpretation of the contract and services rendered

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. While it is now moot, since Neff Construction has been out of business since September 2014, there is obviously going to be no action taken Nevertheless, the fact remains, having open phone lines and a customer calling consistently should not have required rising to this level to get a response - in days at that. As it relates to the deficiency issues at hand, it would not have been possible to anticipate a person's disabilities, or change thereof, which would require a working door I'm not sure why "tenancy" is being referred to either as that, too, has nothing to do with a failed door that was installed a year ago (February 2014) The fact further remains that the issue is WELL beyond just a threshold, I beg to differ I could and would entertain your response IF there was a ramp already here to where a wheelchair would be going over that threshold As you averred in your response, the threshold issue is a direct & proximate result of the use of a wheelchair In the absence of being able to use a wheelchair for obvious reasons (to restate, no ramp, steps, wheelchairs & stairs do not mix), that still does not explain basically a complete failure of this Installation/Replacement.The issue(s) here are that we have a door that failed a year after installation Aesthetics has NOTHING to do with craftsmanship or functionality A door should not fail from its hinges, frame, or other anchoring measures taken to install the (replacement) door The ramp and threshold have NOTHING to do with it as again, it had failed PRIOR to even needing a ramp/wheelchair access This is nothing more than a lousy attempt to "push blame" onto a crippled person's wheelchair that hasn't even crossed the threshold it allegedly "harmed" The completed work that was subpar Nevertheless, all this being said, I fail to find a valid rebuttal or justification for the failures of this replacement door a year later. As this company is out of business and is not going to perform any action, please close the complaint with the appropriate Revdex.com code for a company going out of business while leaving customers essentially "stranded" from the backing of one's work Others cannot be wrong about the completed work either as the opinions are consistent. Thank you, however, for your time in assisting to resolve this While unfortunate, this just means we paying for another door TWICE and I/we have wasted too much time already and it needs to have this work corrected anyway Again, consider the matter closed under whatever coding is appropriate for this type of situation

Neff Construction Inchas been Out Of Business since September Neff Construction has a voicemail in place to return calls to previous customer's letting them know of the circumstancesNicolas A***-C*** was not a Neff Construction customer, so when his initial call at the end of May
was received without any information, it was deletedWhen receiving his second message the first week of June after stating his sister-in-laws name, Neff Construction was going to issue a letter informing *** *** of our unfortunate turn in businessThe letter would also state that at the time of replacement of the door, it was replaced with as like materials available due to the age of the house and the appearance requestedThat being said, when the door replacement took place and even up until now, Neff Construction was not made aware that handicap measures needed to be takenThresholds that take jamming from a wheelchair head on have a lip that will push away due to wear and tear not normally introduced by just walking in and outUnderstandably MsBrand was unaware at the time that she would have a handicap tenant in the future, if notated, other options would have been presented as Neff Construction would not have installed her current door, but a handicap friendly alternative

Johnny [redacted] a former employee of [redacted] Construction and a family friend of [redacted], recently left [redacted] Construction taking numerous customer files and leaving [redacted] Construction inadequate information on many customer files to close out or even contact our customers. On
9-24-14 I had reached out...

to State Farm Insurance in hopes of getting any information I could on [redacted]. The number listed for her was disconnected and a new number not listed. State Farm was unable to help due to privacy issues. [redacted] then contacted the office 9-25-14 leaving her new number. I then contacted her the same day. I let her know the situation we were facing and she agreed to fax over a copy of her estimate. 9-26-14 [redacted] had faxed over her estimate. Unfortunately, I was on vacation in Florida returning 10-6-14 and the office had been closed during that time. I have given Mr. [redacted] the owner of the company all of [redacted]'s paperwork and once reviewed will be able to move forward with any work that may need completed. A check was issued yesterday in the amount of $427.00 to [redacted]. [redacted] may contact Bert [redacted] with any questions at 317-834-8171.

The explanation is important, because reading of an estimate is not cut and dry. If the mailbox in fact was not completed, we have no problem including that. We had never received page 8 of the estimate and the mailbox was never reported until we received the copies from the Revdex.com. [redacted] would like to be fair to Mrs. [redacted] as well as our company.

After Bert took a look at the paperwork [redacted] submitted to you. (We never received anything past page 6 of her insurance estimate) Here is the explanation of payment:
[redacted] charged Neff Construction $427.00. The insurance company paid Neff Construction $519.92. The $92.92 difference is our profit. Neff did work for the insurance company, [redacted] did work for Neff Construction. So although [redacted] charge was $427.00, the work was contracted to Neff Construction and our charge is the $519.92.

Our original conversation with [redacted], we were told only the garage door and the siding had not be done. (Item Number 11 and 12 on page 6) Those items total $1,311.15. Her deductible is $1000.00, therefore the difference is $311.15. Mr. [redacted] would be more than happy to explain how to read the breakdowns of estimate and speak to her regarding the mailbox, since this is the first that we have been made aware of it. Mr. [redacted] encouraged [redacted] to call before in our previous response. As of this date, [redacted] has still not received [redacted]'s letter that you had forwarded to us.
Thank You-
[redacted]

I received this offer from Mr. [redacted] for $311.15. I did not accept it. I have enclosed a copy of my response and copies of the contract and Trade Summary from the insurance company.
Thank you, [redacted]

Mr. [redacted],
The amount appraised by my insurance company was $7,470.44. The amount paid to you was $6,470.44 minus the deductible  up front. The work was done on my home was the roofing and gutters. I paid $150.00 for the Soffit and Fascia as suggested by Mr. [redacted].
The amount allowed for roofing for the house and garage was $4899.88. The actual amount for the gutters was $427.00. Leaving a balance of $1143.57, enough to cover the garage door. The total amount for siding  was $709.24, not 311.15. Let's not forget the mailbox $43.95.
The contract I signed states, "Entire Insurance Scope. Minus siding for deductible."
I realize the allowance for the siding  and mailbox falls short  of the $1007.02 allowed for the garage door. Yet it remains by my calculation there is a balance of ~ $1143.57
I do not accept your offer of $311.15. I will accept either $750.00 for the siding and mailbox or the replacement of the garage door as accepted in the contract.
Thank you,
[redacted]
