Neff Paving, Inc. Reviews (6)

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to mePS Just for the record We called immediately after the job was done and left a message with the receptionist to have the ower call us We never got a call That's why we called back again, after our vacation. Most importantly, my wife would NEVER say "honey" to anyone!!! The point she made was that it was not the end of the world but any professional would have repaired the grass on their own Why wouldn't we want it repaired. We appreciate the repair Neff Paving made Too bad it had to be done this way

there is no pleasing the lady. We were dealing with the mother of property, she had no intentions of paying for job. I even hired another contractor to do last job, still not satisfied. Even this contractor said there was no problem with job but, overhang she did not like.
Grout between joints...

was not from us, it was from erosion of joints from water over the years splashing up off step. She did not pay for one thing. I tried to satisfy her. so I call my attorney, he told me to make it safe and to let her find another contractor and we did not have to deal with the mother because she was not the owner of property.
The job is 100 times better than what was there.

I feel that Mr. [redacted] should have an outside reputable Paving Contractor look at the asphalt job and if they feel that it is faulty, I will replace area.
I did extend warranty.
All my employees said that Mr. [redacted] is very unreasonable to talk to, degrading our employees and company while they...

were there.

August 31, 2016I personally stopped out and looked at job. The sealcoat was very acceptable, I did see where hot rubber crack filler was applied and there was a clump that was not melted, that was probably first crack that was filled that came out of crack fill machine tube. Our employee should of...

taken it up. I told Mrs. [redacted] that I would take care of this.I took weeks before they called us about problem. Mr. [redacted] told me he wasn’t going to call but he had a friend from California who does sealing that told him it was a bad job. That’s when I went up to look at it.I did not call back because I felt it was not a major issue. Then, I get a letter after I talked to Mrs. [redacted] from Revdex.com. I thought that we worked out problem. We do over 500 jobs a year. I guess we can’t please everyone but I go out of my way to solve any problems. The first time I talked to Mr. [redacted] he seemed fine, just wanted to let me know that he wasn’t happy with job but, it wasn’t a big deal till his friend said it was a bad job.I talked with my employee about grass damage (this is the first I have even heard anything about this grass). Our Employee said that he did get onto grass and went up to the house and talked to Mrs. [redacted] about this, she told him “honey don’t worry about that” and Mr. [redacted] never said anything about this or I would have taken care of this. I am sorry for anything that I said that made it sound like I had an attitude with him. I wish we could have resolved this without the Revdex.com. I have been working with them on this issue. We are rated for 3 years in a row as the top 75 paving and sealcoating companies in the nation. Thanks,Clint B[redacted]

As the contract states, I told Neff Paving that my mother ([redacted]) was the contact person for this job so they
can't say that they did not have to talk to her. They talked to her all along the way. I resent the fact that Mr.
[redacted] said there was "no pleasing the lady." My mother is an honest woman, who treats people the way
she wants to be treated and taught all of us six children to do the same. However, she is not the type to let
someone take advantage of her! She believes that if you can't do a job right, don't do it at all!
I have attached an e-mail from my mother to Mr. [redacted] on June 30, 2014, after she had called several
times about the problems, since the start of the job on June 12. In his response, (attached) he apologized for
"all the problems" and even wanted to fire one of his workers. She told him when she met him that she did
not want anyone to get fired, we just wanted the job done right. I had every intention of paying and as I
indicated, I left the signed check with my mother to give to them upon completion. We are honest people,
and I resent the fact that Mr. [redacted] said we did not intend to pay. He is the one who said we did not
have to pay, because he knew these problems were their fault and no one would want to pay for that shoddy
workmanship, however, he didn't know that they would make even more messes after he said that. You
have seen the pictures my mother took of some of the problems. Would anyone want to pay for that? I think
not!
If my mother had taken pictures before they tore the porch out, you would see the crumbling from winter
weather and salt. The crumbling was the front LEFT side ONLY and a little on the top. There was no
crumbling on the right side next to the garage. There was NO damage to the bricks or blocks
surrounding the porch. ALL of that damage was done by Neff Paving and they know it!
I got a reliable contractor to install the rails, and he wanted to know if it was a professional company who
did "this shoddy job" and hoped we didn't pay for it! He showed me the porch slopes toward the garage
and the cracks in the cement where it buts up against the house, and said water, ice and snow will run down
into them and cause the cement to crack, eventually. He said he will install the rails, seal the cracks, and
replace mortar, but will not be liable for any cracking of cement, during the replacement of rails.
I want the Revdex.com to post the fact that Neff Paving lied about tearing the whole porch out; they said the
job would be done in two (2) days; they took three (3) months; they had to tear it out three times,
because of shoddy work; and, after the fourth (4th) time, it is still not right. Let them know that I
submitted pictures to show the damage to my property. If there is any further damage or problems, as a
result of their poor workmanship, I will go to Small Claims Court to collect from them.
Once again, thank you for your time and consideration.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Two employees came to our home.  They were focused on my attitude and their best to start a disagreement.  When my set them straight about some of the conversations they reported, they had no more to say.
They offered to extend the warranty for an additional year, a total of three years.  We have accepted the offer. No documentation has arrived to date.
