Review: Negri's repaired my roof after Storm Sandy. The roof has been leaking for 1 1/2 years and Negri's cannot find the problem and refuses to do anything more on my roof without more money. [redacted] has calked and flooded my roof a number of times and cannot find the leak. I paid $7,200. for the repair. The crew also collapsed my ceiling on the day they started working [redacted] did not offer to pay for any of the damage done when they collapsed my ceiling and that cost me more money for an electrician (his friend) to come and put wires back in the ceiling and to have a contractor come to put up a new ceiling. I lost a computer (screen got cracked) there are gouges in my floor that cannot be repaired, two wooden TV trays broken and wooden animals (xmas decor made by a carpenter for my home). All the debris was in the dumpster in my driveway when I got home. The dumpster stayed in my driveway for weeks after the job was done and ended up leaving large ruts in my driveway. Last year [redacted] cut holes in my new ceiling and took down a lot of trim (it exposed rafters and insulation) trying to see where the water is coming from. He never found the problem and left everything open so my heat and air conditioning went right out the roof. He finally closed it up after I continuously complained but requested I not fix it until he can find the leak. Now he is refusing to do anything without more money. It will cost me $20,000 to retain an attorney I do not have enough money to even get the roof redone. I now am breathing mold all the time and feeling tired all the time I am in my home. I do not know what to do. Negri's also ripped the screen for my large window, took it to be repaired and has never returned it so I cannot open the window for fresh air.Desired Settlement: Since Negri cannot find the problem I would like my money back so I may retain a reputable roofer that will stand behind his work. [redacted] himself never worked on my roof, he sent a two man crew who obviously did not know what they were doing. He even attempted to use press board instead of plywood on my roof even though the job estimate he gave me specifically said plywood. The contract also stated a 10 year warranty would be issued upon completion of work and it never was. Please Help.
