I am rejecting this response because: I have already gone to the businessThey decided to set up a payment plan for the unpaid balance and take 20% off the balance after conferring with the dentistHowever, after doing researching the circumstances surrounding the alleged unpaid balance, it was determined that the dentist office made a mistake when they provided the inaccurate estimate prior to my procedureThey did not properly coordinate with my insurance company to verify my portion of the procedureAs a result, they use incorrect percentage which resulted in the inaccurate estimateThe dentist office originally stated that my insurance company downgraded my dental procedure, and I contacted my insurance carrier for an explanationAt that point that my insurance carrier informed me that the downgrade was only $difference in the price of the claim and NOT in the amount of $(the outstanding balance the dentist office says I'm responsible for paying). I think that I did everything on my part to ensure I wouldn't have any surprises by requesting confirmation of the cost of the procedure from the office staff prior to making the appointment for the procedureBecause of the erroneous estimate provided by the office staff, I agreed to a procedureI would have agree to the procedure at that time if I had known the out of pocket cost would be $versus the quoted $Because this was an error made by this dentist office, I should NOT be held financially responsible for the office staff's errorAt most the only thing I should be held responsible for is the $downgrade by my insurance carrier as stated by in my explanation of benefits from the insurance company for this claim. NOTE: I do NOT want this to negatively impact my credit rating, I (RELUCTANTLY) accepted the 20% discount and the offer of a structured payment plan.On May 22, (prior to rejecting this response) I spoke with the office manager again to further inform her that I'm NOT satisfied with this settlementShe stated that she would speak with the dentist and contactHowever, she said she could not guarantee my desired outcomeAgain, they should see who in the staff is responsible for the error and work that out in house NOT push it off to the patient
