Had me down for another date so he said he would be here 2 hours later. Three hours later I called and called and he never answered the phone or returned my calls.Desired Settlementnoneexplanation

Neighborhood Carpet Care damaged my floor while cleaning our homes carpets.Neighborhood Carpet Care was contracted by myself to conduct carpet cleaning at my home on 12/4/13. The agreed pricing for the services was $199. The owner, [redacted], appeared at my home that morning and completed the work. While cleaning the stairs, he allegedly slipped dropping the cleaning wand down the stairs. The wand left scuff marks on our wall and left a large gouge in the hardwood floors at the bottom of the stairs. [redacted] acknowledged the damages to my father, who was overseeing the job, and said that he would contact me to discuss. In late December, after weeks of not hearing from [redacted], I contacted him to discuss the damages. He told me that he had spoken with another flooring contractor and would make arrangements for them to repair the damages. I began communicating the damages to the contractor and set an appointment for January 8th, 2014 for the contractor to review/repair the damages. At 9:29pm the night before the scheduled repair, I received a text from the flooring contractor that [redacted] had not confirmed the repair and he would not be coming out. On 1/9/14, I contacted at [redacted] via phone to figure out what was going on. After more excuses, he told me that he was not going to use the first contractor and that he had a guy from [redacted] Flooring that would do the work. He told me that he would get in contact with them and would call me that night or the next day with a final resolution. Several weeks went by and I called [redacted] again on 1/22/14 and asked that he call me ASAP. I heard nothing so called again on 1/29/14. Neighborhood Carpet Care had no problem cashing my $199 check within 2 days of doing the job but can't return my calls to repair damages that they caused while doing it! Desired SettlementI would like a full refund for the $199 charged as well as a full repair on the floors they damaged.

On 2/20/2016, called and spoke with [redacted], who agreed to clean my carpets at the house I had been renting and was vacating on 2/22/2016. He stated he preferred to be paid in cash, and that tips were always appreciated. He called the morning of 2/22/2016 to confirm the appointment. I informed him that the movers would be there about the same time, and he indicated that it should not be a problem. He came to the house early, but the movers were late. He informed me he could not start on the carpets at all until they were finished due to the way he cleans the carpets. I showed him around, and then while we were waiting for the movers to arrive, I paid him $300.00 in cash and all in ten dollar bills. This was the amount agreed upon ($178.00) plus a very large tip. Once he saw the money, he became very excited about it since it was almost double the amount and all in tens. He went out to his van to write the receipt. He came back in and gave me a receipt (Receipt [redacted] for the $178.00. He then told me he was going to get a bite to eat down the road and would be back in a half hour. Instead, he called about a half hour later to say he was going to another job and would be back in 1 and 1/2 hours, and that the cleaning at my house would only take an hour. When he didn't come back, I called him at 3:51pm, and left a voice mail message. I never received a response. A few hours later, I had to leave to start driving to my out-of-state destination. The management company who manages the rental house has called him and I have called him, and each time we speak to him he promises to clean the carpets. Yet, he has never cleaned the carpets. I have also filed a complaint with the [redacted] office, and he never responded to their initial letter either. He knew I was in a desperate situation, with having to contract to have the carpets cleaned quickly before having to move out of state on 2/22/2016 due to a quick job transfer. I was fair to him, but he was not to me.Product_Or_Service: Carpet cleaningDesired SettlementClean the carpets and stairs at [redacted] XXXXX. This is what I paid him to do.

he came out and cleaned the carpets, when they dried the next day 98% of the stains returned, I CALLED HIM MANY TIMES! HE WILL NOT CALL ME BACK!I called [redacted] to clean my carpets, he came out right away and did it, the next day when the carpets dried 98% of my stains were still there (my carpets were not even that dirty) he for whatever reason refuses to call me back and help me. I either want my $109 back or really I just want my carpets cleaned properly, Desired SettlementI really don't want my money back I just want my carpets cleaned properly, if he doesn't want to come back then yes I want my money back, my realtor laughed at me when I told him I had my carpets cleaned last Tuesday. I've left minimum 6 messages for him over the past week ( 2 today)Business Response I recently received a letter from the Revdex.com regarding this complaint and the job (touch up) has been completed and the homeowner satisfied before I even knew about the complaint. Mr. [redacted]'s carpets were cleaned and looked great upon completion. He called days later and said that a few spots reappeared. I told him there no problem doing a touch up. We played phone tag for several days trying to schedule me coming back over. I did finally reach him and scheduled the touch up for 10/29, performed this for him and he seemed to be satisfied with the service. I received the letter on the day his touch up was done. I mentioned it to him. He said he was satisfied. This was a total misunderstanding!

company hired to clean area rug carpet. Deposit check given to owner and cashed on 2/5/16. failure to provide service per business website.Customer enlisted Neighborhood Carpet Care to clean inherited area rug. Owner, [redacted] came to owner's residence on 2/5/16 to pick up carpet, was given a deposit check in the amount of $100.00, which was cashed same day. Owner has failed to comply with his agreement and website information. never calls to advise carpet ready to be brought back to customer. Appointment scheduled for wed., feb. 17, 2016 for 3 p.m. Owner never showed up nor called to let customer know he was running late. customer had to call him wherein he said he would be at residence around 4 p.m. Never showed up and never called nor responded to several voice mail messages left on his business phone on Feb. 18, 2016. Customer has reported incident to personal atty., who does not reside in NC. Owners website, [redacted] is false advertising. Google owner and you will find he already has 5 complaints against his business even though he is not a member of Revdex.com which has given his business an "F" rating. Good job!!! Owner never informed customer about senior citizen discount. Customer's attorney did call Mr. [redacted] on Feb. 20, 2016 in order to get matter resolved after customer attempted to resolve matter, asking Mr. [redacted] to return cleaned carpet to customer and requesting that he call customer that day to set up appointment for Monday, Feb. 22, 2016. Mr. [redacted] has not yet called and customer wonders if he has ruined beautiful area rug; gotten rid of it and took the deposit cashed check and pocketed it for himself. Neighborhood Carpet Care should be put out of business,and/or placed on probation and closely monitored by small business associations, especially since 5 customers have already filed complaints against them. It appears that legal action may be the only way to resolve this matter, which didn't have to happen if Mr. [redacted] was a good, professional, honest businessman. I doubt that I will ever get area rug back and if I do, suspect he will have done a terrible job of cleaning it. If he no longer has it, this presents a much bigger issue for legal consideration.Desired SettlementCustomer wants cleaned, area rug returned by Feb. 22, 2016. He was supposed to return area rug on Wed., Feb.17, 2016. Original date for returning area rug was to around Feb. 10-11, 2016. Since Mr. [redacted] continues to avoid customer, does not return calls, apparently doesn't care that now there may be legal issues involved, I believe it is time for his business to be closely monitored. Has he paid taxes? if not, why not and if not, he needs to be reported to IRS and do his 1099 form. Remaining balance of $50 due to Mr. [redacted] should be dismissed. If area rug is no longer in Mr. [redacted]'s possession, then it appears he has committed a crime which might be theft along with taking money and not providing service. Does this mean he should be arrested? If law is clear about this issue, then yes, he should be arrested. Mr. [redacted] should return $100.00 dollar deposit to customer and the $50 balance due him dismissed. Mr. [redacted]'s business practices need to be exposed to the public and whatever type of scams and/or con jobs he is attempting to commit on senior citizens or others, must be made public.I called Mr [redacted] on Feb. 18, 2016 and left 2 voicemail messages on both of his business phone numbers asking him to contact me and let me know what happened, why he didn't return carpet as promised for Wed., Feb. 17, 2016 and attempted to get this matter resolved without legal intervention and schedule date to return area rug on Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 or Sat., Feb. 20, 2016 since his business is opened for business on Saturdays. Check his website for further infor and what I believe is false advertising regarding his business and dealing with customers.

Complaint[redacted] was hired to clean rugs and only did half of the rooms, ruined my area rug and never would come back though said he would. Overcharge $150 too. My husband was home, I had to leave when [redacted] got to the house. He ruined my area rug, only did half of the bedrooms and soaked them, said he would return to redo and never showed up, twice. told me one price and charged my husband $349, over $150 more than told me. I never got nasty with him and he refuses to return my calls. I see from[redacted] I am not the first vicitim of this guy.Desired SettlementRefund of $150. Paid $349.

Mr. [redacted] promised to return and correct problems from carpet cleaning services on 3/27. But he never returned or kept his commitment to call back.[redacted] cleaned our master bedroom carpet, walk-in closet and stairway carpet on Friday 3/27/15. The carpet is about 5 years old and (was) in reasonably good condition. The carpet had normal wear and normal dirt from footprints prior to being cleaned. The cost of the service was $100, which was paid for by check. After Mr. [redacted] finished, the carpet appeared to be heavily saturated with liquid. Once the master bedroom carpet dried (taking nearly 48 hours, even with the overhead fan on), more severe stains suddenly appeared. These were worse than what we had before it was "cleaned." After the carpet finally dried, it looked like someone had spilled a faded version of coffee with cream over several areas ranging in size from a couple of feet to a foot or so in diameter. I called Mr. [redacted] on Monday morning and described the problem. He indicated that he would take care of it and would call back that evening to schedule a time to revisit. Monday evening came and went. I called Mr. [redacted] back on Tuesday (3/30) around 11:30 AM, giving him time to call that morning in case Monday night had not been convenient. He apologized for not calling and indicated that he was delayed by a small fender bender that morning, but would be at my house between 2 PM and 3 PM that afternoon. Once again, he did not show up nor did he call to reschedule. At 5 PM that afternoon, I called to ask why he did not show and when he would come back to take care of our problem. Mr. [redacted] did not take that call, so I left a message. He has not called back since then, despite one more attempt on my part to reach him. All calls were civil and respectful. Desired SettlementThe carpet is about 5 years old, but still has at least 50 percent wear left. We would be willing to have one more attempt made to clean it. If the (new) stains cannot be removed satisfactorily, the carpet in the master bedroom and the adjacent walk-in closet would have to be replaced. If this is the case, we request $600. This is comprised of the return of our $100 service fee plus an additional $500 towards replacement carpet. New carpet of similar quality would cost between $1,500 and $2,000.
