Neil's Cleaners

Review: On 1/22/14 a mans light weigh jacket was left at the cleaners after being assured by the clerk, that she would show a few black marks on the jacket to the people who would be cleaning it. I told her I did not want to pay $14.95 for the cleaning if the marks could not be removed. She assured me the jacket would not be cleaned if the marks could not be removed. The jacket was picked up a week later in a plastic cleaners drape with ticket attached. I had no reason to look at the jacket since the dry cleaning had been completed. The jacket was placed in a car with smokers and then taken to a house where smokers live. The man that the jacket belongs to decided to wear it on 2/16/14 - as soon as the coat was taken out of the plastic he noticed the black marks were still there, in fact it didn't even look like it had been cleaned properly. The jacket was taken back to the cleaners on 2/19/14 to inform them the jacket was not clean. I was told by the clerk after she looked at the jacket and smelled it, that it had been worn and they would not clean it again unless we paid again. I could not believe that a company was not going to stand behind their work, and was accusing me of being a liar.Desired Settlement: The cleaners did not clean the jacket as they assured me they would.

I dropped a short winter coat off to be cleaned and was given a slip with $4.50 due, when I went to pick it up I was told $18.95, I said this is not what was given to me. He asked me to produce my slip which I did with $4.50 cash on counter. He said "mistake" you need to give me $18.95. My coat went up the conveyor belt and he said "come back another day" He started waiting on other customers, rolling his eyes and laughing at me. I said, "I will pay the $18.95 and took out a twenty" He refused to get my coat and kept telling me, "Come back another day for the coat." I said it is cold and I need my coat now. I had stood there about 20 minutes practically begging him to give me my coat. People heard our yelling and banged on the front window from outside. FINALLY he brought the coat down and took my money but REFUSED to give me a receipt, then after 10 minutes he gave it to me. I am 72 years old, this was elder abuse, and unethical business. I was so sick when I left his cleaners. I was hoarse from screaming to please give me my coat. Once he saw that I was paying what he wanted, he should have not continued to harass me. What a horrible experience and he should be reprimanded for this HORRIBLE behavior to a customer!
