Neimans Garage Reviews (3)

Both my wife and I very clearly remember me asking about the fee, and the explanation of the fee that it would not be assessed unless the loan was not paid off in time. We have excellent credit and enough cash on hand to pay for the mower. There is no reason for me to pay to borrow money. I have used many 0% offers before and NEVER have had such a ridiculous fee.

May 5th, 2016Revdex.com,My name is Ray N[redacted], owner of Neiman's Garage & Equipment, Inc., located in Dover, PA. I am writing this letter in response to a complaint I received from a customer through the Revdex.com.On April 2nd, 2016 a couple came to my business to...

purchase a new [redacted] lawn mower. Once they decided that they wanted to purchase the lawn mower we discussed the different payment options. During this time [redacted] was running a promotion of 0% financing for 24 months, however, to use this service there was a promotional transaction fee of $125.00 that I explained to the customer, I have probably done hundreds of these loans over the years, and I am always careful to explain these fees to the customer so that they are not surprised when they receive them. 1 have never had issues in the past with customers understanding these fees. After I explained how the 0% financing worked to the customer they decided to take advantage of the promotion. Not only did I explain that there would be a fee, but they also signed and initialed an agreement that clearly states, "a Promotional Transaction Fee of $125.00 will be added to your account for this transaction."A few weeks after the purchase 1 received a phone call from the couple claiming that they received a fee of $125.00 that they had no idea about. Over the next few days 1 received a onslaught of phone calls from the couple complaining about this $125.00 fee and how they were never told about it. Over time their story began to change and the official report from the Revdex.com states that they actually asked me about the $125.00 fee and 1 told them that it would not be assessed if the mower was paid off before 24 months. I can assure you that I did not tell them this for it is not the case and I have nothing to gain by lying to my customers. I also have no incentive to get a customer to finance a lawn mower; I actually get charged a fee of 2% of the total of the loan.It is unfortunate this issue had to escalate all the way to a complaint to the Revdex.com, but I do not feel that we have done anything wrong. I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding and I would have been much more willing to try to come to some type of agreement had the customer not accused me of falsifying information. This fee was explained by myself and it is clearly stated on the agreement that they signed and initialed.Sincerely,Ray N

Review: I purchased a used 2009 [redacted] with only 52 hours on the tractor from this dealer. After the purchase I found out the mower deck is what is called a "timed deck", meaning it has a timing belt and the blades (2) MUST be at a 90 degree angle to one another at all times. I called the dealer a few days after the 9/2013 purchase to express my concern and to state after reading reviews, I didn't feel this riding mower was a good idea for me, but was assured by the dealer that I would have no issues with it and if I did he would "take care of it". After only 6 grass cuttings and now 60 hours on the tractor (8 hours from date of purchase), the blades skipped timing resulting in the need for repair. The dealer picked up the tractor, reset/aligned the deck and returned it to me, BUT at my expense of $115.00. I requested he order me a new replacement mowing deck that is NOT a "timed deck", and he gave me a price of "ball park $550.00." Since this original sale was of a product that I had expressed my concerns about, the dealer still refused to cut me any price break or trade for another deck, and is not willing to address this known deck problem with anyone at [redacted] to even try to resolve the problem. Bottom line, I am stuck w/a riding mower w/only 60 hours on it that will very possibly need repairs to the deck every 5 or 6 grass cuttings!? This is poor customer service, and something that [redacted] should also stand behind, but will not.Desired Settlement: A new 42 inch "REGULAR" mower deck that will fit this tractor installed replacing the dangerous "timed deck" at no cost to me (they can take the current deck as a "trade")to correct the issue which should have been done in the first place by the dealer w/o any charge to me since the "timed deck" is a known problem and was only made by [redacted] for one (1) year on the 2009 model only.

I am rejecting this response because:[redacted] "[redacted]" is exactly correct, it is a "[redacted] issue', and as a dealer I would hope he would be willing to contact them (as I already did and even gave you the part number of the "conversion deck" [redacted] has available for this tractor in a previous email. Here it is if you want it again; item #[redacted]) and at least get a replacement deck at "dealer cost", which would be less than I would pay if I ordered it myself. My deck did not "fly apart", but the reviews from others did have the deck come apart, "broken blades and spindles" and if those items come out the side chute, it certainly is a "safety hazard"!If nothing else will be done I will be trading the mower for another model/brand. I personally have nothing against Neimans other than they certainly have made no effort to keep the "[redacted] Service" alive and well. But then again, neither has [redacted] as a company. Needless to say my business will be taken elsewhere.

Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:That is the EXACT same response they sent the first time. Sorry to waste your time and mine with this "POOR SERVICE" dealer. No further action is needed.
