Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2016/01/07) */
Contract for Labor and Materials prepared for and signed by customer has been submitted to you, the Revdex.com, by FAX along with the Contract, schedule of payments received by customer and response letter.
As you can see in the Contract we faxed to...

you, at no time was this Customer, as it is the case with any other Customer, obligated to the Contract irrevocably other than for the labor and materials actually performed in the property.
The total amount of contract $22,799.42 Initial $7,000 amount received on August 10, (to order materials prior to commencing work), subsequent payments were received as worked progressed with a final payment of $6,039.42 received on September 9, 2015. Customer was advised and he agreed to the day the work would commence. The work was completed in a timely manner and good workmanship according to standard practices.
FRENCH DRAIN:
For the purpose of directing rain water from four existing downspouts away from house. We installed approximately 175 Ln. Ft of French drain, from left corner of garage across (and underneath driveway) front of garage and down the right side, angling out to 2 ft from concrete patio with 1 drain box straight out to the field as as per contract, with the proper materials (corrugated 4" in diameter connectors and drain pipe topped with gravel) and procedures. See WWW.nashvilledrainage.com. The customer did not like the aesthetics of the black corrugated drain pipe connections showing from the four downspouts to the French drain, although they were the standard black corrugated 4" in diameter connectors secured with interlocking fittings and taped with the manufacturer's tape, as per engineering. He purchased instead four white ridged pipes 3" in diameter to match the white color of the downspouts. The soil used to cover the French drain is the same soil that was removed to dig the trench for the drain. The culvert install is a 24'long 12" in diameter culvert with ends, gravel and caps.
FRAMING/DRYWALL: Removed water damaged drywall from garage walls and ceiling, repair stubs, change mud seal and make repair as needed to existing framing. Prepare ceiling joists and install new 24"x 54" attic ladder. Install R-13 batted insulation in wall and R-30 blown insulation in ceiling.
DOORS:
Remove existing window in pump room (in garage) cut opening and re-frame and install a new 3 ft. wide right swing insulated steel man door. The week before Christmas the customer sent us an email letting us know that the man door leaks when it rains. The customer has been advised that I will water test the door for leaks and re caulk if needed. The garage doors was installed by Renner Supply Company of Springfield MO. After you reported this complaint to us I contacted Renner Supply and I also let the Customer know that I would do so. The Service manager of Renner Supply confirmed to me that the garage doors were properly installed according to manufacturer's specifications and do not need and H frame. He also told to me that the customer, at his insistence, requested to have the doors re-adjusted to fit against the seal and flashing as tightly as possible (tighter than customary), the doors were adjusted as tightly has possible and still operate correctly, in addition, the customer purchased and installed or had someone install decorative handles (not included in our contract) which protrude 1.1/2" on the outside of the garage doors which cause the garage decorative handles to scrape against the header upon opening and closing the garage doors.
CONCRETE:
We added new concrete to each side of the existing driveway to expand it to a 24' wide driveway and made a new concrete walkway connecting driveway too man door in the garage. We water tested the concrete after installation. We found two 12" to 16" by 1/8" deep dips on the concrete. Customer was advised and I offered two ways to solve the problem, at no extra cost, of course:
1) Replace the two affected areas with new concrete
or
2) Make a saw cut across the walkway where the dips are located to allow drainage.
The customer did not want cuts on the driveway and was afraid that the concrete on the two new sections of walkway would not match exactly the shade of the rest of the new driveway so he chose to leave it as is. NOTE: The elevation of the existing garage is too low and the elevation of the lawn around the garage is too high, the customer he is aware of that issue.
As you can see, by the schedule of payments we have already faxed to you, this customer paid in full for the work performed in his home.
Respectfully,
[redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2016/01/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
FRENCH DRAIN:
Information on installation inaccurate. The Left corner of garage down spout was ran parallel along drive way out to culvert pipe, not underneath along the front of garage, this is the only drain that works without backing up. A drain box was never run out to field. It was not on the contract to fill the the ditches for the french drain with gravel to the TOP of the ditches. Before Gravel even got delivered I requested fresh sand/dirt fill. [redacted] did not respond and the next day 17 tons was delivered. I totally shocked when he was fill the trenches to the top and he saw that I was not pleased and he said "I'm not done yet". He knew I wanted NO gravel in the yard and now it's surfacing everywhere.
DOORS:
The new side door did leak when [redacted] was here and I told him, but he never did a water test or offer to fix it. He just moved on. Issue never addressed. I don't know who or what he is talking about as far as Renner Supply Company saying the doors where installed correctly. They had to come out Three time
Final Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2016/01/12) */
FRENCH DRAINS:
French drain trenches MUST BE FILLED with rocks above the installed drain lines. 13 tons of 1/2" rock were used (I have no idea how the customer was able to calculate the "17 tons" weight of rocks delivered by [redacted] Construction), the rocks was used to expand existing driveway with additional flat work, build a new concrete walkway and French drains. Approximately 100 lineal feet of drain pipe directing water from each downspout out to the field were connected to each downspouts, independently of each other. The drain pipes were topped rock and then with the soil that was removed from the trenches. Customer replaced the required 4" in diameter corrugated connectors to the downspouts with 3" diameter rigid white pipes. Not drain box was installed because it was not needed therefore not included in the contract. I advised the customer that I would do the tractor work to grade the areas over the new French drains while we were still working on the property at no extra cost to him if he purchased additional fill dirt. The customer declined because he wanted to do the final grading himself the following year. No further response will be offer regarding this subject.
GARAGE DOORS:
Renner Supply come to the property in question in three separate occasions to:
1) Initially install the garage doors.
2) Adjust the garage doors.
3) Install decorative handles. Customer hired Renner Supply, decorative handles were not included in the Contract.
MAN DOOR:
A water test WAS done after installation of man door. No leaks were detected. However I will test the door again for leaks.

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 17, 2016/01/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There is no truth coming out of company and I will have the garage door company make it right. They told me they will stand by there product.
I refuse to go back and forth in a never ending misinformation. I am never going to release a positive review or resolution, because [redacted] Construction seems to refuse to accept any responsibility for poor workmanship. I could refute his statements until the end of time and I will not.
