The details I provided in the original complaint are valid and still stand. The employees of *** Sealcoating were indeed here only minutes OR LESS. The young men who "sealed" the driveway were actually RUNNING up and down the drive in a poor attempt to seal my driveway. They were in such a hurry that neither myself NOR my wife could believe how quickly they attempted to do the job. We assumed we were the "last job of the day" for them, and they were in a hurry to go home. I have NEVER NOT paid any debt that I owed legitimately...EVER. However, this is in my opinion not a legitimate debt. IF my driveway had been sealed PROPERLY, I would not have a complaint. My neighbors are witness to the poor sealing job provided by Mr***'s employees, as they witnessed the MANY CRACKS that are in my drive. I still stand by my request that my drive be sealed PROPERLY, to MY satisfaction and then I will pay Mr***. I still have the original proposal for the service I was supposed to obtain, and there are NO requirements for fixing any cracks. In fact, it states clearly that no crack filling was necessary. However, my driveway does have MANY hairline cracks that were NOT sealed at all. I contacted another sealcoating company after Mr***'s employees "finished" my drive and it was "cured out", and was told by them that if my driveway still had VISIBLE HAIRLINE CRACKS AFTER BEING "sealed", then it either was not sealed properly OR not enough sealer was used. I was also told that after the driveway "cured out", NO hairline cracks should have been visible, and if they were, then my driveway would be subject to the elements, and would deteriorate. MANY cracks are visible and when exposed to the elements, they will get larger. Bottom line is that the job WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY and the driveway stands to get much worse over time because of sealcoating that was not done properly. I even got on-line and read about the proper way to do sealcoating and read that my job was inadequate according to sealcoating "standards". Simply put, I do not owe Mr*** for a driveway sealing job that was NOT done properly. IF Mr*** wants to properly seal my driveway to MY SATISFACTION, NOT HIS, then I will pay him after the job is properly done, but I do not owe for a product or service that was not done adequately OR to my satisfaction. Mr***, in my opinion, does not seem to be concerned about CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. His only response to my concerns was argument and he did not offer to correct the situation at all. I have many pictures that clearly show the poor sealcoating of my driveway. This was NOT a job that was done properly, no matter how long Mr*** has been in business. IF Mr*** truly believes he runs a reputable business, I would think he would be registered with the Revdex.com, which he is not. Bottom line, I want what I should have received in the first place, a driveway that is PROPERLY SEALED. Thank you.Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
First of all, I have NEVER not paid any legitimate bill EVER. I take great pride in always paying everything in a timely manner and ALWAYS BEFORE the bill is ever late. I would gladly pay Mr*** for the services he was supposed to have provided IF they had been done properly, which they were not. I have the original work order from his company showing that were NO major cracks in my drive that needed repair. BEFORE I "accepted" his service, I was told by his receptionist (I think it was Mrs***) that any HAIRLINE cracks would be filled in during the process of 'sealcoating". Repairing the hairline cracks and filling them in to prevent them from becoming major cracks, was THE REASON I WANTED SEALCOATING done...plain and simple. I have had my drive sealed times in the past, always done properly and to my satisfaction. The company that sealed it prior to Mr***, is no longer in business. That was the reason I called Mr*** to seal my drive, period. When the driveway was cured out, I saw that MANY, MANY hairline cracks to be still VERY visible and had not been sealed. That is when I called Mr*** to come out and look at the drive. He came out that afternoon and immediately became argumentative with my wife and said that there was nothing wrong with the sealing and he would not do anything to try to attempt to do anything else to adequately seal the drive and did not care whether or not we (as customers) were satisfied with the job or not. He stated that IF we did not pay, he would simply take us to Small Claim's Court. He did not care if I was satisfied with his work or not and made NO effort to correct the inadequate job his crew did. I told him that I merely expected to get what he was trying to charge me for and when the job was done to MY satisfaction and not his, I would be happy to pay him. I never planned not to pay him..period. I ALWAYS PAY WHAT I OWE. However, I do not plan to pay $for a sealcoating job that was not done properly OR to my expectations. I also contacted another sealcoating business by phone (after Mr*** refused to fix my drive) and asked them IF hairline cracks should still be visible after a driveway was sealed and they told me "NO". They further said that "IF A SEALCOATING JOB IS DONE PROPERLY WITH THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SEALANT USED, THE HAIRLINE CRACKS WOULD BE FILLED IN AND NOT VISIBLE AT ALL. I have taken many pictures of my driveway, along with several people witnessing the end result of Mr***'s poor attempt to sealcoat my drive and all attest to what I have claimed. I do not plan to pay for a job done improperly and if Mr*** wants to pursue this further, I am willing to do so. Mr*** can reseal my driveway again, to MY satisfaction, at which time I will pay him, or go to Small Claims' Court. I have never not paid a bill I owe, but will not pay for a job that was NOT done properly unless the LAW REQUIRES ME TO DO SO. I think I have sufficient proof to show the job was NOT DONE PROPERLY. Thank you Revdex.com.Regards,*** ***

I still stand behind my work as being quality & professionally done for Mr. [redacted]. His bill still stands unpaid. It seems though Mr. [redacted] thinks he knows more about the sealcoating business than I do. We done Mr. [redacted]s job in good faith. Unfortunately he seems to make numerous reasons why he should not pay the bill, which all of them have no bearing. This is an unfair claim against my company. I do expect payment in full. Thank You, [redacted] E. [redacted]/[redacted] Asphalt Sealcoat, LLC

In response to this complaint, the complaint states that we were there 10 minutes to perform the asphalt sealcoating. Truly, do you believe this? We use sufficient amount of sealer on every job. We are a 36 year old company & we take great pride in our quality & workmanship. This job was...

priced  for $454.85 Sealcoating only. No crack filling. I was notified after they received their invoice, looked at the job the same day. Was told by homeowners it was a "lousy" job & asked if all my employees were new. I assure you our crew & myself are qualified in the asphalt sealcoating business. Point taken they basically don't want to pay their invoice. I do believe this is an unfair, unreasonable & false  statement by Mr. [redacted]. In conclusion I do expect payment in full for services performed. Thank You, [redacted] E.
