I have been a client of Nelson Sims & Associates for over years I will make mention that I drive an hour & a half to this business to file and prepare my taxes due to the level of expertise this firm offers Most recently I was audited by the IRS and the lack of the level of customer service and response for assistance from Nelson Sims was beyond disappointing There were numerous emails that were sent to Nelson Sims by their request that went unanswered and unacknowledged Although Nelson Sims may be accustomed to audits and being audited, they fail to realize that their clients are not accustomed to this level of inquisition by the Federal Govt Responding in a prompt and timely manner and ensuring that the proper people are handling the issue for paying clients (not a secretary that knows nothing in regards to tax law) is one of the main foundations of Customer Service I do not suggest using this firm to prepare Business Partnership & Personal Tax Returns After reporting items as business expenses (which after being audited I am made aware that said expenses are not allowable as they are not owned by the business per Federal Law ) which I was told by my tax preparer those expenses where acceptable and allowable,were found not to be acceptable by the IRS and Federal Law When going to a tax preparer you are relying on their tax knowledge and expertise of tax laws I am extremely frustrated in knowing I now owe the IRS several thousands of dollars and the only culpability that Nelson Sims is willing to assist with is $which is just interest You read correctly, I am out of pocket over $grand all due to the misdirection and guidance from this firm They have lost a client and I will be sure to advise the many clients I have referred to them over the years to relocate their business

Although Nelson Sims may be accustomed to audits and being audited, they fail to realize that their clients are not accustomed to this level of inquisition by the Federal Govt. When going to a tax preparer you are relying on their tax knowledge and expertise of tax laws.

I am extremely frustrated in knowing I now owe the IRS several thousands of dollars and the only culpability that Nelson Sims is willing to assist with is $238.00 which is just interest. You read correctly, I am out of pocket over $4000.00 grand all due to the misdirection and guidance from this firm.

They have lost a client and I will be sure to advise the many clients I have referred to them over the years to relocate their business.
