I do not like being called a liar! If he does not want us to come back and inspect his roof what would he like us to do? I am responding to this with the information I have on hand and in the computer, if he wants to have it looked at I will set the appointment right now for FRIDAY MAY 8TH AT 9AMPlease let me know if this convenient for Mr [redacted] We will look at his roof at this time and if repairs are needed from a material defect or a installation problem they will be done right on the spot, if it is a problem from lack of maintenance (ice and snow build up ) there is nothing more I can doDoes the roof leak now when it rains or just in the winter? Again a roof is designed with shingles over lapping each other to deflect water not hold water like a pondif water sits on top of shingles in a puddle of water it will find a way to back up especially with freezing and thawing occurringWe install ice and water shield on all eaves and valleys, code calls for 6' up eaves, this is a vapor barrier and helps to try to prevent this from happening but it is not a 100% and if ice and snow back up beyond the 6' like it did this year water will find a way in I hope I am explaining this so he can understand the operation of a roof

Hello, in response to Mr *** complaint: We did install a roof for him on 9/28/The roof comes with a year workmanship warranty and limited lifetime warranty on materialsWe did a warranty repair on 12/20/for a leak over a porch at no charge to customerWe have not heard from Mr
*** since then, until this year in MarchHe had called just like hundreds of other people to get the ice and snow removed from the houseThis year as you know was very hard winter we did not get the mid winter thaws we normally get and all the snow and ice stayed on the roofs and kept building up on roofsHe was told our price for coming out to remove the ice and snow and was being put on our list to get done(our list was at least people long) He told our office person he should not be charged and does not want to pay for anythingThe warranty is for workmanship and material defects not for general maintenance to remove ice and snowOur roofing crew did call Mr*** when he came up on the list and when no one was home to do the work he got put back at the bottom of the list and we moved on to the next customerWhen we finally got back to toward the end of the list the weather had changed and mother nature took care of the ice and snowWe have not heard from him sinceWe have not received any letters from Mr ***, our address changed as of 1/1/we are at Boston State Rd Hamburg NY He may have sent them to the wrong addressAs for him to have never shoveled off his roof or removed ice from his home I do not knowBut I am sure the house has changed over the years like siding ,windows , insulation , maybe a different style of heat source like wood or pellet stove or a gas unit all these factors have a impact on heat loss thru a roof and can cause ice and snow to build up. I have reviewed the messages from Vacienk roofing very carefullyTo start with I did send at least three letters to them which I have copies of and If the address was wrong they would have been forwarded for a year to their new business address according to the post master Arcade post office OR they would have been returned too me because my return name / address sticker was placed on each one........... 2nd, we did not receive any call from them as they stated because the phone number they would have was either MY cell phone or the wife's cell phone as we do not have nor have we had a house phone for three -four years...... 3rd, they were here " two " different times for leaks, one yes as stated over the front porch leaking into the living room and the second time a leak in the back porch by the washing machine..... This past winter was ruff but a roof is not supposed to leak and this year it leaked in the loft bedroom doing $+ in damage and it also leaked over the front porch again and again in the back porch. Damages there were limited but still it leakedIt rained heavy here with some strong winds a couple weeks ago and the back leaked again. He mentioned ice build up. I had heat wires on the front porch down into the gutter and they worked well keeping the ice from forming and letting the water flow under the ice BUT as I stated it still leaked .... Again I paid for a roof that doesn't leak but got one that every time it snows now I have to hold my breath to see if it leaks or not. What kind of roof is that????? I guess there is nothing else to say except I resent the remark , " I hope I am explaining this so he can understand the operation of a roof." I mentioned to you and thus *** that the last roof here before theirs was installed was put on by me and my Dad just before he passed away and we had no leaks ....That one was in and it was redone because I could see shingles curling up and I did have a slight leak that stained the ceiling so I know it needed new to prevent any more troublesI could no longer do it because of two failed back operations and herniated disc in my neck. Again that is why I can't get up there anymore. That is why I can't afford having this cleaned off every year being on a fixed very small income.. BUT I shouldn't have toALL I wanted was a roof that didn't leak , maybe I should have kept the money I borrowed , for this roof is worse than what I had.... I will be having a guy come out in a week or two to remove the ceiling and insulation and try and determine where it leaked in I will inform you of that when I can...Thank you again ***
