Nelson's Transmission Svc Reviews (3)

Review: [redacted]I paid $1,885.09 for transmission services/repair (2006 Expedition) on December 19, 2014. After 2 weeks the same transmission problems reoccurred and the vehicle was returned to be repaired under the 3year warranty. From December 19, 2014 (when the bill was paid) until April 5, 2015 we have not been able to use our vehicle due to continued transmission problems. Nelson's Transmission stated they replaced parts and within 15-20 miles after the repairs, still having the same transmission problems. It has been return time after time. He keeps it for weeks, says it's repaired, again it's not repaired. A call was placed back to Nelson's and he stated he does not know what is wrong with the vehicle, and I was advised not to bring it back. Original problem: *Overdrive Light Flashing - Vehicle not moving. *Sent to Nelson's Transmission - Diagnosed - needs new transmission/rebuilt *Nelson's Claimed to rebuild the transmission and it came with a 3yr warranty which included Parts and Labor. *December 19, 2014 - April 5,2015 the Vehicle still has not been repaired. Returned multiple times. Overdrive light flashing. Shifting hard.April 5,2015- Nelson's advised me not to bring my vehicle back, he does not know what's wrong with it. *Second estimate - recommends transmission needs rebuilt - something was not done right the first time. transmission fluid overheating to 400 degrees (on a computer reading)I still can not use my vehicle since December 2014. I paid for it to be repaired and it's not repaired.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund. I paid for a Diagnosis and repair. It has not been repaired. I have given Nelson's Transmission and [redacted], 5 months to correct the problem and he can not repair my vehicle. I should not have to pay for something I did not receive.

Review: My explorer's front end was repaired and then we had new tires put on it. Soon the tires were worn down to the cords. The explorer was returned to Nelson's. After over A MONTH, they are still not finished with the repair. My husband and I have made numerous phone calls and stopped at the shop, only to get excuses and were told to be patient.Desired Settlement: To have the vehicle repaired correctly and returned ASAP

Review: I took my 1983 Chevy truck to have the transmission he put in repaired on a warranty. My engine drove great and had no problems. After having my truck for a month he called to tell me my engine had locked up and he had nothing to do with this problem. I had to have it towed to my mechanic, buy a new engine, pay for labor, plus the flywheel was broke and so was my clutch. None of these were broken before I took my truck in for a transmission repair. So far the total out of my pocket is $1,250 and he refuses to pay for any of the repairs even though my mechanic showed me how all of this is because of the installation of another transmission.Desired Settlement: I would like him to pay for all repairs to my truck totalling $1,250.

Response:

Dear Sirs,

In regards to the letter I recieved on 12/17/13, concerning the complaint,([redacted]),

from [redacted]. I removed and repaired the transmission. There was no reason for

Nelson’s Transmission’s to remove the bell housing, or preform any work on the engine

of the truck. Prior to pulling the truck into the garage, I got in and started the truck, the

engine stalled, and the truck would not start again. The truck was pushed in to preform

the necessary work. After the transmission was repaired, and installed, I charged the

battery and did the necessary diagnosis.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

On the response from Nelson's Transmissions....first off, he states my truck would not start when he pulled it into his garage and he 'did the necessary diagnosis'. Well if my truck was not running how could he run a diagnosis on tranny work if he could not get the engine running? This right here states an outright lie! If he's lying about this, what else is he lying about? How can you check your tranny work if you could not start engine? I am outraged and upset that he won't accept responsibility on what he did to my truck by locking up my engine. I have spent alot of money getting another engine put in plus additional tranny work due to him not even fixing that right. To resolve this issue he could pay me the money I had to put out to get all the repairs done to my truck due to his negligence. My engine ran great until I took it to him.

Regards,

Business
