Nemo Cay Resort Townhomes for Thursday, August 17th checking out on Sunday, August, 20th. The guest called in a complaint about ants on Friday, August 18th. The property manager’s maintenance went over to the unit the same day and sprayed for ants along the entire foundation of the unit and inside along the baseboard for the kitchen and living room area to prevent any more ants from entering the unit.   The guest mentions reading a Google review from the week before about an ant infestation. Out of 40 reviews of Nemo Cay Resort Townhomes posted on Google, there are two reviews that mention ants, one of which is the complainant. This doesn’t signify an infestation, simply two different units out of 44 units that had a problem with ants.   Nemo Cay Resort Townhomes does have regular pest control service, which was conducted on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, to prevent situations like the guests is referring to. During our hot and dry summers, ants are a fact of life for any property on Padre Island. With that being said, for the guest to allege that the unit was infested with ants and Nemo Cay Resort Townhomes continued to rent it, is simply not true.  The property manager addressed the guest’s concerns and apologized for the situation, but Nemo Cay Resort Townhomes doesn’t feel that this merits a refund.    Sincerely,   Nemo Cay Resort Townhomes
