After the consultation and examination he was given an estimate of 3,100.00. we called his Insurance and figured that he would owe 823.49. We were not advised of any age limitation. We...

told him we would send a pre treatment to his Insurance to get a more accurate amount. Mr. [redacted] did not wait for the pre treatment results and had surgery on 10/16/2015. We received pre treatment results on 10/20/2015 and they showed the services would not be covered because the patient was over 19 on the day of service. We work with over a thousand dental and medical Insurances and cannot be responsible to know how every detail, which are many of each patients coverage. the patients father called our office and we tried to explain things to him. I spoke to Dr. [redacted] and he said that in good faith we would accept as FULL payment any monies received at this writing. No further billing will be done. We hope this will be acceptable to all parties. patient care is our primary concern.

First and foremost, I would like to clarify that I was not informed that the pre-treatment results had not come in, and was under the understanding that the pre-treatment result was that I would owe $823.49, and was not told otherwise before the surgery. Had I been notified that the pre-treatment has not come in, I would gladly have waited on the surgery as this is not an emergency situation, and I was in no rush. So, I do not think that I am liable for this amount. However, I appreciate the gesture in good faith from Dr. [redacted]. To honor his nice gesture and to not get into further argument, I am willing to make a payment of $250 to Neponset Valley. I am currently a student and the maximum amount I can afford to pay is $250. I simply cannot afford to pay more than this amount. Please forward this message to Neponset Valley and request them to accept $250 as full payment towards my bill.
