We booked a private room in a "two bedroom apartment" by email and was provided with all of the details; "all inclusive" accommodation, laundry facilities, grill, etc
Arrived, paid, got the keys, went to the house. It was a 4 bedroom house. We were told we would be the only ones in the place, as no one else had booked anything in that location yet.
We immediately noticed that it appeared as though someone had robbed the living room of a sofa, so we re-arranged to make it look like the couch hadn't been taken. The floor was really dirty and there were quite a few big millipede bugs on the floor throughout the house, and most were starting to fall apart and were spread across the floor, so I swept. I went to put my bags on the dresser, and the wood on the top of the dresser had peeled and broke off in one spot and out of it were hundreds of little eggs. I ignored it the entire week. My husband went to use the bathroom, lifted the seat and the rim was covered in dried pee. He actually cleaned it off himself. Our room reeked of stale, wet funk.
I looked up reviews for The Neptune Group and discovered that MANY people have had problems with this company and that if you complain about anything, the owner, [redacted], will simply insult you via email and nothing will be resolved. We laughed it off and decided we'd just get through the week and book elsewhere next time.
It looked like there was a huge drool stain on my pillow so used the other remaining pillow. Then I noticed black hairs in the bed. It looked as though the sheets hadn't even been washed, and I honestly don't think they were.
Two other guests came and filled other rooms on day 2, and there was loud, MAJOR construction going on in the 4th room ALL WEEK.
Throughout the week, we noticed that the place was infested with termites. They were in the bathroom and on the shelves in the kitchen. Shelves in the fridge kept falling down so everything would be all over the place. The button on the microwave constantly stuck, lots of things were broken in the house, the blinds in the bedroom, the towel rack, grill, many etc's. All furniture definitely came off the side of the road. 100%.
I needed to print a few resumes and there was a computer and printer set up in the living room. I went to use the computer and realized that, not only was it not plugged up, but there wasn't even a main cord TO plug it up! So I took the printer to another outlet and tried to hook it up to my laptop and discovered that the printer didn't even work or come on!
Day 4 I went to put something in the nightstand on my husbands side of the bed, which we hadn't used, and I bumped into a "guidelines" book and noticed that it said we were required to wash the sheets in the laundry facility out back and return them to the office when we check out or you don't get your deposit back. I had not been told! I emailed the girl in the office and she said yes, it was true. I was never even told that I paid a deposit so this was troublesome because I didn't know how much it was!
The day before we left, two ladies came in to "clean". We'd been out of toilet paper for days, and we had a stack of paper towels on the back of the toilet. They made the guys bed who had left, did something in the bathroom, and left. They did not leave more TP, or even notice the paper towels. This isn't cleaning!
Last day, woke early to do laundry and discovered that the washer nor dryer worked and the washer was full of wood chips from the wood overhead being rotten and falling in. So I emailed them and told them that we had to leave early and that the laundry facilities that were promised to us were inoperable. They were closed, so I left the key in the mail slot at the office and left.
It escalated heavily from there with [redacted] writing me back and hatefully insulting me and this went back and forth for a couple of days. I have never seen such HORRIBLE customer service in my life. He called me a "[redacted] liar", a "neurotic liar", amongst other things, and insulted the county I'm from.
