In response to [redacted] ***'s complaint: I reviewed my hone messages and incoming callsMrs' ***'s number did not appear, nor was there a voice message stating she had found a place to stayI am very relieved they were able to find accommodationsAs I know it was parents week-endI was unable to offer suggestions for alternative lodging as I was unaware of any availability at other B&BsThe website for the Nest Egg states clearly that a deposit is needed to secure a reservationIf Mrs [redacted] had provide the information PayPal would have processed that depositThat did not happenI would also as that several months had past from the date she contacted the B&BI would think that when a charge was not reflected on her statement, she would have contacted meThis did not happen.? I am sorry for the ***'s inconvenienceClearly there is no more I can do to relieve them of the experienceI see no need to reimburse them for expenses they incurred that weekendThe ***'s were? able to find lodging and spend time with their sonThese expenses would have occurred wherever they found lodging.? I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer Ireviewed appear below. Dear Revdex.com, I am attaching the email I received stating confirmation of my roomIt states I have the room and does not state my payment did not go through or that any further payment was neededI received two emails of confirmationI also did not erase the Facebook message so I am attaching that as wellI also sent another fb message which I am attaching about a missed call from themI did call them back and let them know we did find a place for the evening and would not need their servicesThey did not adjust their arrangements for us, they got a cancellationThat is why they now had room for usNor out of sincerely being sorryShe also stated wgen we were there that she could not access my information, but could in fact, because she called me later to offer me her cancellationI also have the voicemail stating she got a cancellation and now had a room for usThis facility could have given us at least some information to help us after they told us we did not have a roomThey gave us absolutely no help at all and definitely not a sincere apologyI find it utterly ridiculous and disheartening that she would make those claims, when she is most definitely in the wrongI will never stay at this facility and will not recommend it to anyone. In response to *** ***'s complaint: She did reserve on line, however, she failed to follow through with the required deposit which would have completed the booking. it is clearly stated on the reservation website that on-line deposit must be submitted to PayPal in order the secure the
roomThe Nest Egg utilizes Pay Pal exclusively for credit card transactionsThis is especially important on busy week-ends such as family week-endsWe cannot hold rooms that have not been paid for. In regards to my Facebook message she sent on 10/6/2017, my website manager responded withe the check in/out times but strongly encourage Ms*** to call the Nest Egg to confirm her status, as he does not have access to reservation detailsMs*** did not call. It should also be noted that she deleted the Facebook exchangeHowever we were able to retrieve the documentation from FacebookMs*** states that we owe her an apologyI apologized sincerely about the miss- communication upon her arrivalMove over, within 1/hrsI was able to shift my fully paid accommodations in order to make room for her and her husband, despite the fact that they never made a depositI called to inform her of this and left a message , but she never called backI could only assume that she found other accommodations within that 1/hour time frame. I am sincerely sorry for Mrs***'s negative experience but had she followed the instructions on the website and made the required deposit this could have all been avoidedtherefore, I do not feel that it is necessary for me to reimburse Mrs*** for her expenses as she has requested. The website for the Nest Egg states clearly that a deposit is needed to secure a reservation. If Mrs. [redacted] had provide the information PayPal would have processed that deposit. That did not happen. I would also as that several months had past from the date she contacted the B&B. I would think that when a charge was not reflected on her statement, she would have contacted me. This did not happen.  I am sorry for the [redacted]'s inconvenience. Clearly there is no more I can do to relieve them of the experience. I see no need to reimburse them for expenses they incurred that weekend.
