Review: I am writing due to the handbook not accurately describing services. My main concern is that the handbook states "Children may not have chips, cookies, soda, or any items of this sort" but when I went to pick my daughter up on the 23rd, they were serving cheese balls for a snack. When I tried to address the concern with the owner she stated, "Well since everything else she ate today was healthy, we didn't see a problem with giving her something a little extra." The problem I have with that is, the handbook also states, "Our policy on introduction to foods is to follow the parent's lead. We will not introduce a new food unless informed by the parents." When I completed the tour of the facility, I made it known that my daughter does not get junk food at all. Not even a little bit. Her snacks have always been healthy snacks. Another concern of mine is that the paperwork that is sent home to show the parents what their child ate that day stated that her snack on the 23rd was apples, not cheese balls. My other major concern is that on the 23rd, the paperwork stated that my daughter's diaper was changed at 12 & then she went down for a nap. She woke back up at 1:45 but didn't get a diaper change until 2:30. My daughter has always needed her diaper changed if she would sleep longer than an hour & if she wasn't wet, then she was not getting enough to drink through out the day. My other concern is the fact that the wipes & diapers I provided for my daughter, weren't actually being used for my daughter. I was told that it was easier to just use the ones that were opened for all the child, then they would open a new pack & use it until they were all gone. Thankfully my daughter isn't allergic to a certain brand of diapers or wipes because the supplies I provided for my daughter, were being used on other child in the daycare. The handbook also states, "Children may not use any other diapers or pull ups than those provided by the family." This daycare has not followed their own handbook at all.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the tuition that I had to pay at first which was a total of $80 due to the fact that the daycare didn't provide the services that I was told would be provided. My daughter's tuition was covered by CCIS towards the end but I had to pay for the first two weeks, two days each week. It was $20 a day due to part time hours & I had to pay for 4 days. I don't feel like I should have been charged for services that were misrepresented & now my daughter has issues with being sick.
