I would like to respond to the complaint filed by the customerthe first estimate for a FRin line back water valve which entails to jackhammer the floor, an opening about 2' wide and 3' long, installing backwater valve and recementing floor, but when we opened up the floor we found that there
was no space for new valve and to pass inspection as all the plumbing was bundled upWe informed the customer of the problem and explained that we could close it up as is or breakup more concrete and repipe main line of existing connectionsShe asked for price to do this and that is what we didthis entailed an opening of 5' X 6' hole and 40" deep, removing all dirt, sucking out water, removing much more concrete and hauling it outWe were able to repipe existing connections, new main clean out and connections to front and back drain to be protected by FRback water valve and installed FRback water valveCalled for inspectionWe built a box for FRback water valve out of 3/4" treated plywood and recemented floorAfter customer contacted the office asking for a breakdown of materialWe asked that she wait for the plumber to get back from vacationWe also tried to contact her by phone and left message to contact the office, also let email messages but failed to get any communications backWe are committed to resolve this dispute but as you can see we spent a lot more time and materials ( a total of man hours)It would have taken approximately hours the first timeWhen we phoned we wanted to explain that since we had not used the back water valves for entrance we would give her a credit for themWe also unhooked wall hung sink, checked basin stack for leaks, removed rain water leaders & capped off, capped 4" rain water leader stand pipeReplaced - 3" clean out caps on running traps at no chargeWe are also attaching work order with list of materials that would be charged if charged by the hour

We have checked our records on this account and found that we did not install a softener for this customer. since we did not install we feel an apology is in order and consider the complaint closed.
As for the Saturday call, we went out...
to the hose and reset the softener from purge setting. We also checked faucets and then left. The bill was for our minimum after hours call out
