Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: They are lying and did not send a senior technician outThey instead sent another clueless tech out to further delay fixing anythingThe warranty has already handled their end of the deal but the dollars that North Star took from my hard earned money has still not been refunded to meFirst American should not have to pay me back but North Star since they are technically the one's providing service and took the actual funds out of my accountThey never called about the parts ordered and no one even contacted me to tell me anything at allThis can not stay like this and its sad how they lie so freelyWhat type of company runs this way?! Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me They did come back to my home and the technician replaced a capacitor and my AC is now working I was without AC for a month and a half due to a capacitor! Good morning,North Star Mechanical made the homeowner aware of the drain pan needing to be replacedWe gave them quotes to have it replaced and they declinedNorth Star Mechanical has been speaking with Mr [redacted] and informed him that we would take care of the ceilingWe asked them to get some quotes due to Mrs [redacted] not trusting North Star MechanicalWe last spoke with Mr [redacted] on May 8, and had all issues resolvedMrs [redacted] refused to sign a water waiver when we made them aware of the drain panIf they ***'t have the drain pan replaced the drain lines can continue to clog up and cause more damage Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: I was at the time, until I looked into it and found out that the work they did had nothing to do with getting it up to code Have they passed the city inspection yet?

North Star Mechanical has been to this home and repaired several issues. To the best of my knowledge the issues have been resolved

We will be issuing a refund check today to satisfy this home owner

To whom it may concern,The homeowner placed a work order with their warranty company First AmericanNorth Star Mechanical went the home on 6-19-and found no mechanical failures to the air conditionerThe homeowner paid someone else to come out and replace a motorWhen we arrived to the home
the second time there were again no failures to the systemFirst American Home Warranty will only cover the failures if any and will not cover any work that was done outside the warranty companyTherefore since the homeowner has the motor replaced by someone else they wanted North Star Mechanical to leave another motor there for them to have and we cannot do thatIf the homeowner wants to be reimbursed they would have to take that up with their warranty company First AmericanAlso, per their contract with First American we cannot replace something that is working

I am rejecting this response because North Star is placing the blame on the warranty company: "When you have a warranty company they will only replace what is failing at the time." The warranty company is contracting North Star to correctly diagnose the problem and fix it. Yes, the warranty company will only replace what is failing, so it is depending on the technicians to honestly report their findings. North Star's technicians have stated to me that the unit is not repairable, however, when they call in to report to the office, there is something said to them over the phone that makes them change their opinion and write something different on the report. North Star's office/supervisor/manager is advising the technicians to continue recommending parts to be replaced instead of letting the warranty company know that the unit itself needs replacement. North Star Mechanical is dishonest in its reporting and is making its technicians lie on the reports. North Star's lack of integrity is appalling, and telling experienced skilled technicians to lie about their diagnoses is disgusting.I am very glad to have a second opinion from a different company all together.

First American should not have to pay me back but North Star since they are technically the one's providing service and took the actual funds out of my account. To whom it may concern,North Star Mechanical was sent to the home located at [redacted] by First American Home Warranty. North Star Mechanical found that the system lost 3/4 of its Freon (r22), found the coil was leaking and needed to be replaced. North Star Mechanical submitted the report...

to his warranty company First American Home Warranty and they advised North Star Mechanical what was covered and what wasn't covered. North Star Mechanical is registered with the City of [redacted] and we have tried several times to get the inspector out there for the inspection. North Star Mechanical has emails from the city that we are registered, the permit was pulled, and email confirmations that the inspection was scheduled. Any other information you may need please let us know.

To whom it may concern,When a piece of equipment has to be replaced the technician writes up an invoice. The technician then turns it into the office. The office processes the paperwork and calls the warranty company to go over what is covered by the contract and what is not. The office then calls the homeowners to discuss what needs to be replaced as well as any modifications and code items. If the homeowner does not agree to the price then we call the warranty company and advise them. North Star Mechanical called [redacted] on 11/28/2016 and discussed everything that needed to be done. He agreed and scheduled the installation for 11/29/2016. North Star Mechanical again called [redacted] on 11/29/2016 at 2:46pm to see how everything went with the install and the installer and he stating that he was happy with the install. We have sent her claim to another vendor as a second opinion for a second set of eyes. If that company states that she does need a new unit they will then submit that report into her warranty company First American. Once First American makes a decision on what they want to do they will let either...

North Star Mechanical or the other company know what to do. We have submitted every report to First American on the times that we did go to her home. When  you have a warranty company they will only replace what is failing at the time. [redacted]

THE FIRST SERVICE CALL THAT NORTH STAR MECHANICAL WENT OUT TO THE TECHNICIAN FOUND THE  COMPRESSOR WAS OVER HEATING, NOT YET DETERMINED THAT THE ACTUAL COMPRESSOR WAS BAD.  NORTH STAR MECHANCIAL SENT A SENIOR TECH TO THE HOME TO DETERMINE THE ACTUAL FAILURE AND FOUND AT THAT TIME...

THAT THE COMPRESSOR WAS IN FACT FAILING.  THE CLAIM WAS SENT TO THE EQUIPMENT DEPARTMENT TO ORDER THE COMPRESSOR.  WE THEN RECEIVED A CANCELATION  BY THE CUSTOMERS WARRANTY COMPANY.  THIS ISSUE SEEMS TO BE WITH THEIR WARRANTY COMPANY, NOT NORTH STAR MECHANICAL.
