I have been working with Miles from Dave's AutoHe is friendly and knowledgeableNot only do they repair cars, but with their full machine shop, they can repair them BETTER than how they came from the factoryAt their shop in Centerville, they work on all types of carsThey repair and improve performance on diesel trucksWith their full machine shop, they are also capable of repairing and improving boat engines I would recommend this shop to any that require auto maintenance that is both minor and major

I took a vehicle in regarding a ticking noise coming from the engine. I was told there would be a $90.00 diagnostic fee, which was no problem. After diagnosing, I was advised they could fix the problem 1 of 2 ways. Either pulling the motor out or working on it over the fender. They required a $2500 deposit up front. I told them I would have to call back to pay the deposit and advise of which way I would like them to proceed. After consulting with some other people I decided I was going to take my vehicle somewhere else. I called back and advised of this and they stated they had already started taking my vehicle apart. I never gave them a deposit, nor did I even advise which way I wanted them to start working on it (dropping the motor or working over the fender). They stated they would stop working on my vehicle and have it ready for me to pick up. When I arrived, my vehicle was not driveable and they charged me $660.00 for the work they have done to it. Not only did I have to pay $660

On 6/5/2017, I took my Mercury sable to Dave's Auto Center, N Main, in Layton UT, for power steering problems Specifically, a power steering fluid leak The charge was $1, I took the car in a week ago, and informed the manager, that I still had a power steering fluid leak I was informed that their month warranty didn't apply to me because the work they did wasn't related to the initial repairs The initial report was a power steering fluid leak, and it still leaks bad The manager informed me that if I want the car repaired I must again cover all costs for parts and labor

I took my Vehicle to Daves Mid April and they quoted me a two week turn aroundThe job took them nearly two months to completeThe price we originally discussed also went upThey tried to give me the car back once saying it was good to go but as soon as I turned onto the road the check engine light came on and there was an awful rattleThey wanted more money to fix the check engine light and it took them another two weeksThe rattle they said was originally nothing they did and then they changed that to them not replacing the motor mount bushings and they were not going to replace them for me nowAfter I finally took delivery of my car, while it was still in the break in period for the new motor it over heated and seizedAfter calling them and asking them to tow it in or help me get it resolved they said they were unable to help me and that if it seized that was due to something I had done even though I had been at their shop the day before to get an oil change and inspection do

I was quoted over the phone for a repair of my crankcase which a bolt had broken inside of and pushed out a gasketI was told this would cover for removal and installation of my engine once it was repaired, and the repair itself would cost At this time I was not physically present as my car had broke down enroute to Salt LakeCity to fly out of airportDave did not e mail me a written estimate of these repairs but did ask me in this date April, 14, for dollar deposit toward repairAlthough I had never had to put a deposit down for mechanic work, I was willing to do so as I believed it was the easiest thing to have the car repaired and ready when I flew back into Salt Lake City and would drive home to Colorado
On April Dave calls me and tells me he has torn my engine completely down and tells me that the only option I have at this point is to remanufacture it and that this will cost me I tell him I am not interested in remanufactur

On May 1, I picked up and paid for repairs done to my Ford F- During the process of doing the repairs on my truck Miles gave me an initial estimate of *** dollars He called me several times informing me of what they were finding wrong with my truck Each time I gave them the okay to go ahead with the repairs I did everything that they told me they needed to do to fix my truck The total cost of the repair was *** I was assured by Dave everything was "Great" as they put it on the final bill In early December of I called Dave and told him I was hearing a noise from the top end of the motor He told me to go to YouTube and listen to a noise a Phaser makes when going bad I did and called to say I thought that was the noise I was hearing However, I was unable to reach him One of his employees finally told me he was off work due to and Illness in his family I said okay and asked if they would have him call me once he returned to work I di
