Complaint[redacted], owner of Nevada Outdoors, came to my rental property at my request for a quote for weekly lawn service, reseeding in one area, and some sodding down the road. During his quote process onsite, he asked if he could turn the sprinkler system on to "see how my system is performing" in order to provide a quote. After reviewing his quote, I decided to contract with another lawn service. I informed him and then was sent a bill for $50 to "turn on my system and set the timer"I never signed any contract for service and feel this is a nefarious business practice that is less than transparent and possibly calculated. I do not intend to pay for a service I never requested or contracted for, and please refer to the email string I send on 5/13/16 at 1132 hours that reflects [redacted]'s desire to shut down my system because he is not being paid for a service I never requested.Desired SettlementFormal response from Nevada Outdoors to myself and the Revdex.com that indicates a zero balanceBusiness Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] OwnerContact Phone: 775-691-4333Contact Email: [redacted]When I received the initial call from the consumer, he stated that he needed someone to come over to a rental property, activate the sprinkler system, and while on site, give him a quote for some lawn renovation and ongoing maintenance. We set up an appointment. I personally took the appointment to activate the sprinkler system because he wanted some quotes. Upon arrival, there was no answer at the door. Assuming he would arrive shortly, and in order to save time, I began working on activating the system. A short time later the consumer came out from the back of the house obviously engaged with another contractor regarding some other items. Not wanting to interrupt, I continued with the sprinkler system. Eventually they took a break, and he was able to explain the scope of work regarding lawn renovation. I explained that as soon as I was done checking the zones and setting the controller I would get some measurements and email a quote to him. He then went back to his other conversation. At one point I asked him how he would like the days and watering times set. We agreed it should be on quite frequently in order to encourage some new growth and hopefully defray some of the necessary renovation. Upon completion, the consumer was still busy so I quickly got his email and told him I would follow up later. As his email states, which I believe he attached, He did receive a bill for the sprinkler work for $50.00. I was willing to waive the charge if he accepted my proposal. When he did not, I sent him a bill for services provided. Not out of spite, simply because I provided a service which he verbally requested. We are an honest company and have a great network of honest customers and do most of our small item business the old fashion way. On a hand shake. It has worked for us for the last 37 years, and we will continue to build our business on trust. In order to resolve the issue, I am willing to revert the charges on the Doctors account, and take it as a lesson learned. I certainly don't want his lawyer after me over $50 bucks. I believe the rest of the story is written in the email which the consumer provided.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

What started out to be great, turned bad. I had them do a complete paver backyard with lights , fire pit , plants, shrubs, trees. When the finally finished after 1 1/2 months, due to lack of workers. It was good. The bad is their follow through is terrible. In the fire pit which is connected to the house gas, the filled it with lava rock, when we had it on for 10 min, the lava rock was popping and ended up landing on my son and burnt his hand. I called them to remove the rock and I ended up doing it as they never showed.the caps to the rock planters are not all glued down. After 6 months the pavers are starting to buckle and are lacking sand. I have also requested them to call back several times. I've sent photos via phone of the caps on the ground. My most recent, I called for them to come adjust the lighting on the trees as they shine in my neighbors bedroom windows. I don't want to do it and break them. Looks like I will have to try. The owner Devin does not return calls or show up! I also found through a reputable landscape company that I was severely over charged. Not Happy!!","neg-1
