New Age Contractors Reviews (%countItem)

is the gatekeeper and scheduler at N A C for repairs to my condo ceiling(s) and wood trim repaired. Painters here twice, unsatisfactory.
The condo above has a water leak from a air conditioning system. The Owner of the condo and his Property Manager has agreed to pay for the repairs. I received 3 quotes, took the lowest, knowing the good workmanship that this company has done for me in the past.
The painters came in on the 10th and since the first attempt was not satisfactory to us, came back on the 16th. Maybe 15 minutes of work. The same leader, but with two assistants different from the first attempt with one assistant.
After the paint dried, the project remains unsatisfactory. My wife called ***, she was to see when the Estimator could return for his review of the repairs he planned and see for himself the results.

Friday, 20 Dec., I sent an email to Allison of N A C:
"It has been all week, waiting on N A C to respond to our dilemma of getting our condo back in good shape. Your Estimator has not called and your office has not called.
Not Good, please provide some information on how you intend to proceed."

I have not heard back as of today, Monday, 23rd.

Desired Outcome

First, have the Estimator return to our home. Second, do a professional job with other personnel. Below on the last contact, was one way since there was no response

I, *** am the Construction Services Manager here at the company. I have received the customer's complaint from Unit *** about ceiling repairs. The upstairs unit is technically the party I am working for as they are paying for the cost of repairs. I scheduled the ceiling panting/repairs on 12/10/2019 which was estimated at an extremely discounted rate to help out the owners in Unit *** (who are filing this complaint) due to the issues they have had with the upstairs owners scheduling and financially taking responsibility for the repairs. An estimator never walked the job this was estimated on a per square foot basis site unseen by myself from the office. I never physically walked the site and was simply doing a favor for the owners in Unit *** The repairs were completed Tuesday, December 10th. I received a call Friday, December 13th from the wife at Unit *** complaining about the paint job. I then scheduled my painting crew to go back out first thing Monday, December 16th with an arrival time between 9 and 11am. I received no calls that day with any complaints or concerns from the owners of Unit *** I was also told from my technicians that the customers were happy now and all was good.

I then received this email on Wednesday, December 18th after opening a voicemail from Unit *** wife from the prior evening on the 17th:

The preparation and painting was tried again on Monday. Unsatisfied for their 15 minutes of work. New Age contractors on Monday was asked for the estimator to return and review the work and resolve the issue.

Hello ***,

I wanted to clarify a few things. My painter *** was on site Monday per your request. He went through everything and everything your wife requested was done on site. So I was confused to then get a phone call from your wife yesterday afternoon claiming you two were not happy with our work since the painter did everything you asked him to do while he was on site Monday. When I spoke with her I assured her I would be setting up an appointment with the owner of the company to come and look at your ceilings as soon as possible.

***, I am the Construction Services Manager here and I am the estimator. I estimated this job so you can ask me any questions about your estimate that you may have. I schedule the investigations, estimate the jobs, schedule the repairs and do the billing actually. So I can answer any questions you may have.

We consistently do work orders at Arboretum for not only it's homeowners but also for Sentry Management. We just painted the gym at Arboretum and built new shelving in the business office. So please feel free to go check out our great workmanship at your local clubhouse.

We assure our customers we always hold ourselves at the highest standard for our work and our technicians work. I will check the owner's schedule and get back to you as soon as possible to set up that appointment.

Please be on the look out for my call soon.

***, *** and *** if any of you have any questions you can feel free to call me at the office number listed below and ask for *** I would be happy to answer any of your questions.

Thanks!

As you can see from the above correspondence he has heard from us since his complaint. We were closed over Christmas break the beginning of this week. I called the owners at Unit 226 first thing this morning to set up a walk through with the owner of the company. This is currently scheduled for Monday, December 30th between 11 and 1pm.

This work has not even been billed yet due to customer concerns and I pride myself on my good communication here at the company and the workmanship of my technicians as well. The communication provided above shows this clients claim is false and we look forward to resolving the customers concerns as soon as possible.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The comments that "an estimator never walked the job" is in conflict with the Nov 18, 2019, 2:34 PM email from NAC quoting the work, with 4 Attachments. Someone's hand is holding the light fixture in photo 1, not mine, followed by photos 2 & 3 for the hallway, and photo 4 for the bathroom. Those photos were not from me.

Mr. *** did look the situation over, agreeing that it is not up to their standards, and will correct it likely on Monday next week. I asked him not to send the same people from the first two attempts. He was also concerned on the "estimator situation that he spoke with his people, none of which said they did the on site evaluation.

But back to the message sited earlier "The technician investigated'FOLLOWS; "The technician investigated and although we can try to match the ceiling paint to match existing touch up paint will not be successful due to past experience. We suggest an entire ceiling repaint in the front foyer and hallway to include the damaged bubbling paint section on the existing molding beneath the ceiling in the hallway." That has not been completed.

I appreciate NAC providing a lowest cost to do the job, but once the paint dried, the areas of concern was seen after the painters left.

I can not accept the response from the business until the job is done to my satisfaction. Hopefully, I will hear soon on the date and time for "the final touch"

The owner of our company investigated the job. We sent our technicians to do touch up work and the customer is satisfied with the results. I do not think this is still an ongoing issue. Please feel free to reach out to Mr. to confirm that his complaint has been taken care of.

Thanks.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The Owner did what he said he would, and sent another worker to do what the two previous attempts failed.
I have asked N A C not to send those first and second teams to my unit ever again.

*** never did answer where she got the photos from when she denied having anyone estimate the cost of repairs; that were attached to her estimate.

Company hired by HOA to do repairs for termite damage. Job started over 1 1/2 months ago and not completed to date. What has been done is wrong.
House had extensive termite damage when purchased. HOA policy covers repairs so I had no control over contractor hired by HOA. Company started job in early February and has yet to complete it. I have repeatedly questioned workmanship and no one listens. I had the HOA representative listen to my concerns regarding no tape being used when installing new sheetrock. He called the owner "Junior" and at first we were told tape not needed. Then company sends painter in to paint my den and he installs tape to ceiling in kitchen - why install tape to seams in kitchen if company told me tape not needed? Which is it? I had major work done in den and I assure you that tape was not used when installing sheetrock. I am told it will crack overtime without the tape. Company has yet to finish putting my kitchen back together after tearing it apart to install a new header over the backdoor. Nail pops showed up in my den from work being done to backporch and painter covered with paint, nail pops still showing, so now additional sheetrock work needs to be done and it will need to be painted again. Painter is subcontractor of New Age Contractors (NAC) Painter did a terrible job in den, very light coat showing prior color, missed the corners and got paint on the ceiling yet I was told job was finished! Back porch is not completed, shingles still need to be installed over porch and ceiling fan installed prior to putting in new screen material which I understand the company is waiting on it to come in. Really? They have had over a 1 1/2 months to order and have the screen material arrive. In the meantime I am living and working in this home while construction going on. Had inches of sheetrock dust everywhere that had to be cleaned and furniture had to be moved to garage to allow for painting. Now with new sheetrock having to be installed and additional painting to be done will furniture need to be moved again? I question all of this as I am sure the bill is going to add up. I am not directly paying but since I do pay homeowner fees it does affect me. I see poor quality workmanship on the back porch and it has all been covered up by new siding which by the way has been installed crooked. They have not finished my job yet the company keeps pulling people off to go do other jobs, one of which is my neighbor across the street!

Desired Outcome

I would like a building inspector to come tell me that it is all up to code. I then want the company to finish the job without delay and finish it correctly. I have sent messages to everyone I can think of today to find out when they will be working on my house again and estimated time for completion. All I am told so far is that they will be back sometime this week.
