Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:This is a typical response and answer I receive from Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings that does not answer any question I am wanting a schedule and a completion date They refuse to give it to me I have been dealing with this for many months When is Steel Cowboy Metal Metal Buildings going to show up and when are they going to finish? And with the extreme delays and lies I have been given, it needs to be sooner than later I have heard countless excuses Some excuses as to why they can not work include being out of money, it's too hot, too wet, too humid, too windy, too sick, doctors appointments, injures, funeral, they have other project to complete first, etc It never ends and they never give me a schedule Any type of verbal schedule I receive is a lie because they either don't show up at all or don't finish what they start. Facts: - This is total day of project Mr *** promised me it would take 7-business days to complete after foundation is ready.- Also, this is day since Mr*** requested we make our final payment since Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings ran out of money This totaled $43,that I have paid to Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings He told me if we make our final payment that we would be finished "first thing" and be their "number one priority" and that "no other jobs would be started" We have been told that we are the number one priority multiple times during the day time span

In response to statements made in complaint #*** Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings is a solidly ran company and has been for over years maintaining an A+ rating without a complaint until recently. Due to Mr*** experiencing heart illness issues and some of our contracted companies not
fulfilling their obligations, has lead the company to get behind on some of our work schedules. This does not mean that we are not diligently honoring our contract agreementsSteel Cowboy Metal Buildings was hired by *** Auto (*** ***) to prepare job site and then build an automotive repair garage which we are working to fulfillOnce contract was signed and deposit received (month later), *** and *** began working on their project by (listed items but not limited too) acquiring an engineer, calculating/working on building requirements, getting area surveyed (size, grade, etc), speaking/meeting/preparing documents with and for the banker, hiring crew for dirt work, hiring concrete company, hiring plumber, speaking with electrician (*** hired), researching/going to permit office-meeting with representatives/preparing documents for permitting, etc*** hired an engineer, who took months to give us foundation and building engineered drawings. Shortly after, *** requested revisions as required by 1st representative at city permit office which have still not been provided. *** took revised documents to 2nd representative at city permit office and he stated other documents were required, so after acquiring these documents/forms they were turned into a 3rd representative she has informed *** of additional engineered drawings to include the one we are still waiting on from originally requested from engineer that the 2nd representative said not to worry about***, has met with and hired (by giving a deposit) various tradesman. He has also paid for numerous 18-wheeler loads base material to level site, to include but not limited to the building, drive way, and parking areasFor the first few months we were in contact via telephone and email with the ***’s and the banker. As I have stated in previous emails, because you don’t hear from *** or the office on an hourly/daily basis does not mean that we are not working on your project. So, once the verbiage from Mr*** became derogatory and demeaning, we stopped speaking to him and emailed *** *** and the banker. We believe it to be unprofessional to participate in a verbal war of wordsWe have come across some obstacles, but continue to work through them

"We apologize for any delay in completing your project, however for the past year Mr*** has experienced continued heart illness and suffered a massive heart attack in May and a minor in September. Due to his illness, Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings has one crew of 2, working diligently to
complete the previously contracted agreements. In that said the other contracts are no more important than yours; we are working to get to your job; as we thrive on customer satisfaction" Thank you -- *** *** Admin, Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings, Inc*** *** *** ***

The complaint is unfounded All work was completed as it was bidMost of the complaint is a lieWe offered on seperate occaisions to come back and fix the issues that did deserve our attention Each time we were denied this opportunity This was a total bid job of $
Customer put a stop payment on final payment of $ Now the customer's resolution for the complaint is to be paid back the initial deposit payment of $3000.00, making the entire 3-1/week job free Clearly this complaint is baseless and is a situation where someone is attempting to get something for nothing

We at Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings (SCMB), have tried on numerous occasions to communicate with the customers. The original contract was signed 11/24/2015, at that time they were informed that SCMB was working on other projects and would be closed for two weeks in December for the holidays....

Their concrete was poured in Dec., but SCMB could not start the building until mid January.   However, upon every attempt at communication they continued to defame, threaten, and use profanity towards SCMB staff, suppliers, and crews.  We do not condone this behavior nor will we subject ourselves or crew to this type of treatment.  Therefore, we have obtained an attorney to further communicate with these customers.

I am rejecting this response because: they still have not returned our money as they agreed, as for there response of contacting us during the construction is a lie, and if calling someone a liar is profanity this world is in trouble. We are good people and just dont like being ripped off and lied to.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:    In response to  SCMB answers, I ask the Revdex.com to review past complaints and compare with complaints. (Looks familiar)   I ask the Revdex.com to post my complaint now and past complaints to prevent another scam. Previous complaints were not posted when vetted SCMB in Aug 2015, which would have prevented my contracting with him. His responses are lies. he says received deposits one month after contracting (Lie). I have dated cashiers checks proving he lies. deposits were made on Aug 14 two days after contract. Aug 16 four days after contract and on Aug 21. Why the lies? The remainder of his responses are nothing but hogwash. Any hiring of services was done with my money. I paid for and can prove I paid for the engineers report twice, when SCMB didn't have his check book. I have documented proof when SCMB requested permits which was incomplete, he was buying time and to SCMB, I have found city personnel very helpful and not as you negatively described. If he intended do perform the job why did he fail to pay the insurance premium required by the bank?

[redacted] Re:     Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings 14090 Ted Williams #1 Atascosa, TX 78002 To Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]: I am writing on behalf of Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings. You entered into a contract with Steel Cowboy on November 24, 2015 to erect a 25'W x 50'L metal building on your premise. Since that time you have defamed, threatened and used profanity toward Mr. Camacho and staff, and you have verbally abused the Steel Cowboy's staff, its suppliers, and the concrete crew. Thus, in light of your conduct, you have rendered the business between you and Steel Cowboys intolerable. Per the contract, Steel Cowboy retains the right to void this contract based upon Management Approval. At this point, given your conduct toward the parties mentioned above, Steel Cowboy wishes to terminate the contract and refund to you $9,000.00. This money will come to you under separate cover from Steel Cowboys Metal Buildings.  DB/asEnclosurecc: Steel Cowboy Metal BuildingsIntake No.: [redacted]

Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings (SCMB) waited to respond to Mr. [redacted]’s (dba [redacted] Auto) anticipating a subsequent report by Mr. [redacted] acknowledging that on May 26, 2016, SCMB, without legal intervention or prompting, provided Mr. [redacted] with a full refund of $39,850.00.   We (SCMB) still continue to believe that the incomplete documents received from the engineering firm—i.e., failure to provide the requisite promised engineered drawing—unnecessarily delayed the permit process and was the cause of this complaint.  On February 22, 2016, Mr. [redacted]’s desired settlement of his complaint was to close down SCMB, but cautioned of a possible name change.  SCMB is neither closing nor changing our name.  SCMB was formerly known as Longhorn Structures and Metal Sales.  However, when the managing partners sold the company to Mr. [redacted], the name was changed to Steel Cowboy Metal Buildings to reflect the new enterprise.  SCMB is and continues to be a solidly run company which prides itself in high quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.  Our valued customers over the years know that the name has changed.  However, Mr. [redacted]’s phone number has remained the same for over 20 years.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I do not accept Mr. [redacted]’s reply. Desired outcome is to finishthe contract so I can store items in my barn. Mr. [redacted] has put me in a bind,I need my barn to store things from my house starting 1-Nov-16, as I am havingmy current module home removed and a new home built.I realize what the contract called for on the insulation, but that was Mr. [redacted]’s error, not mine. He verbally told me on the phone about6 weeks ago that they would finish the doors and roof extension, and then hewould complete the insulation with spray foam.  I cannot allow Mr. [redacted] to remove the metalfrom the structure as there is no telling how long I would be without use ofthe structure.  He has already proven tobe very unreliable. I still haven’t heard from him!The last time any of Mr. [redacted]’s crew showed up on myproperty was 18-Sep-2015. They installed 2 poles that will hold the roofextension. I have heard nothing from Mr. [redacted] (not text, email, or telephonecontact), this is appears to be the norm for this company. Mr. [redacted]’s replyalso said he would need to discuss with me the completion of this contract. No contactyet, will it be another 6 months?I was actually impressed that you received a reply at all,as Mr. [redacted] does not appear to like dealing with his contracted customers.  But this is the same story I’ve been hearingthe few times I was able to make contact over the last 4 months (the first 2 months I never heard from him was due to his medical issues)My contract is now past the 6 month mark and counting, thisis not the way to run a business. I would like this complaint and message traildisplayed on the BBS web site so other potential customers have a fair chanceto know that there are potential issues when dealing with Mr. [redacted].
Regards,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Thank you for the response.  I have attached a collage of a few pictures proving that I am telling the truth about my complaint with New Appeal Painting and Remodeling.  These pictures were taken the same day they said my job was complete. New Appeal Painting and Remodeling started on Friday, March 10, 2017 and finished on March 27, 2017; working only during the week.  I hired New Appeal Painting and Remodeling to begin work on Monday, March 13, 2017 and was told it would take 9 days to complete.  They worked on my project for 11 1/2 days - Not 3 1/2 weeks as stated by New Appeal Painting and Remodeling.  Construction always takes longer than estimated, so the longer timeframe was fine but the company should be honest about the amount of time worked on a project.  New Appeal Painting and Remodeling called me on Wednesday, March 8 and asked if they could begin tomorrow, Thursday, March 9 because they finished a job early.  I let them start on Friday, March 10.  Every day they came to my house at a later time than I was told they would be there.  On Friday, March 17 the owner and I were supposed to go look at countertops.  That morning when they showed up late, I was told they had to leave early.  So that day there was only a couple hours work from the owner and 3 hours work from an employee.  Their last day of work was Monday, March 27.  They did not work on weekends.  On March 27 they were hurrying trying to finish my job.   I only ask for a refund because I need the money to pay someone else to resolve the issues that New Appeal has caused to my house.  I can not trust New Appeal Painting and Remodeling since they didn’t do the job right the first time.  (In the response from New Appeal Painting and Remodeling, they mentioned that I was lying.  Then later mentioned that they offered to fix the issues.  These contradict each other.  If I were lying, then why did he offer to fix the issues?) But what the business didn't say in their response as addressing the issues is that the business offered to fix the floor, remove the screw from the cabinet and fix the wall they built around the lazy susan.  Those 3 things are the only issues they offered to fix.  New Appeal Painting and Remodeling didn't offer to fix any of the other more than a dozen issues that are still present in my kitchen.
