Review: [redacted] "pressure fitted" and the whole nine yards offered by New Balance South Windsor, but when time came for me to get fitted for a pair of work shoes, they brought out a size that was one size too large.When I asked them about the size difference, they told me "its supposed to be larger, they run small".I wore them literally only into my house, and realized that they were too large. I brought them back to the store, and they told me that because I wore them, (only once mind you, and under the advice of the store manager) that they would issue me store credit. I told them that I didn't want credit, and that I had lost trust in their judgment in shoe fitting. They again told me that I would only be issued store credit, and did in fact, only give me store credit.

I am a volunteer fireman who works in slippery areas on a daily basis. I need a shoe that will fit me properly. New Balance South Windsor sold me a poorly fitting shoe, therefore endangering myself.The fact that they would not give me a cash refund, adds insult to injury.I want the amount of cash that I paid be given to me, not store credit.

The reason a refund was not given was because the shoe was worn and our policy states worn shoes will be given a store credit. The customer was told the day of purchase that we only had a certian size in stock and we could order one that would be more exact to the foots measurements, but he decided to take the shoe size we had in stock. He felt at that time it fit fine.

When customer returned to the store for a refund of the worn shoes we offered to try a different size but customer decided to just leave with store credit.

Customer recieved a store credit for entire value and can use it on any product in the store at anytime. With no additional charges for special orders and free shipping to house or work

The manager who sold me the shoe, as I stated in my first complaint, told me that the shoes he sold me were "supposed to be larger, they (the sizes) run small". This too, based off of his response above, is a lie,.

Lying was a very unethical business move to make on the salesroom floor, tricking me into purchasing a pair of shoes that doesn't fit just to make a commission. And lying again to cover up their lies via there response to you, just proves my point even more.

I have worked in sales for over five years of my life, and I have dealt with crooks like the manager at New Balance Evergreen Walk. Anybody who sells wrong-sized and thus hazardous work shoes to a volunteer fireman, is not doing business as an honest American should. I will never shop at this place again, and I will strongly encourage my circle of friends to do the same.

I have mailed a refund check for entire amount of purchase. My salespeople are very honest and our integrity is more important then any sale or money.

I also left a $10 store credit on his customer account to try our brand new slip resistant model.
