New Britain Services is describing themselves to be a law group for collections on any default loans, ie. credit card, student, etc. They contacted me in Az. stating that I had a credit card taken out in 1995 under my business name. They said they had been trying to contact me by mail and phone for years and had no response. I was told that when the card was issued to my business that a balance of 10K was put on it and from 1995-2002 I had made payments on the card, then stopped. I never had any credit or other card in my business name, ever, (my Revdex.com rating was AAA, bus. now closed temp.) and the bank which they claimed it was issued (Citi) I do not own any card. They told me that if I did not pay the balance, or the "one time only" amount, that the file would go to my county court and I would be liable for the full balance on site. I was told to look up their web site, etc., of which does not exist.
As I am a victim of severe Identity Theft I am sensitive to any posssible fraudulant schemes. When they acknowledged this as an ID theft, they were very nice. I spoke to two people, one in their "Law Group", and one in their "Processing". As our County is cracking down extremely hard on defaults I thought it best to pay the "one time settlement balance". I started questioning them when I was told if I paid by credit card it would be taken in three installments over 3 days. They tried very hard to get my bank account info. After to many phone conversations with them I finally agreed to the three transactions to my Visa. I was called by my Visa Fraud that one payment had been processed, then retrieved by the card co. as it was a cash advance not a credit purchase transaction. On denying the amounts to be authorized, (they tried to sneak the third day into the second days amount), I started checking for them online finding nothing. I contacted No. Ind. Revdex.com and was informed of their background.
New Britain Services has a false physical address along with a Postal Box address in Munster, Ind. The "website" comes up as www.BillVerify.com which is a false website. It states "if you made a purchase with them" etc. and only wants your contact and credit card info. Visa told me the vendor was www.BillVerify.com located in London, En.!
I stopped any/all transactions with New Britain Svcs. through my Visa Fraud and cancelled card immediately. I then went to the Revdex.com of N. In. where I received more info regarding this fake company. I am contacting my Revdex.com here in Az. and my local television station as they are very interested in any type of scam, especially this one, as our State has a serious problem with ID theft.
It also helps if you document all phone/contact/persons info/interaction by phone and/or by mail.
They almost got me on this one and I'm not easily taken in by cons/scam artists, These people are good at what they do. If a company does or does not give you all their info, take the time and look into them with the Revdex.com of the State they are doing business in. Don't go by a website if they have one.
I want to thank the No. Ind. Revdex.com for their information and of the way they handled my phone calls. I hope this helps take this company which seems based in Europe to be apprehended in the United States.

My father just had $197.69 from a check withdrawal from New Brittain Financial Services. A company that he has never heard of or dealt with. Some how this company was able to process a check through my dad's checking account number. The check number was 99999, which doesn't even exist on the account. The bank is fixing the problem. People beware of this company. He has never received a paper or anything from this company!
