We called New Canadian Drain & Plumbing Ltd around 5:p.mon Saturday of the Civic Holiday long weekend as the toilet in our basement apartment was not flushing and the tub was backing up They said someone would be there in an hour and he was (Peter - very polite and knowledgeable) He snaked our drain and confirmed that there was a large blockage (the city had already been and informed us that the blockage was on our property Peter attempted to unblock it but it was too much for the equipment He determined we would need a dig in order to remedy the problem He arranged for this to happen on the Monday morning at 8:a.mand they indeed turned up to do the job right on time There were four of them, Iman their Supervisor, Peter (back again) Taras and Olie (Hope I have the names right)
Within the hour, the crew was digging up to get to the problemThey were very respectful of our front lawn and landscaping and laid a tarp down to contain the work After digging through feet they cut out a length of our pipe and replaced it and reconnected it to the main city pipe Olie, who operated the *** machine was very careful not to dent our driveway (just replaced last year) and we are very grateful no damage was done to it
To summarize, within hours they had dug down, located and removed the blockage, installed new piping and re-connected us to the city pipe They also installed four access stacks in our front yard for outside access to the sewer pipe and the City pipe Very happy with that
We would certainly recommend New Canadian Drain & Plumbing Ltd (in particular the four fellows named above) to anyone if they are ever in such an unfortunate situation as a sewer crisis!
