I am very sorry but there is a misunderstandingFirst we will refund the $service fee because we are not trying to take advantage of elderly peopleThere is never a charge for service on the equipment we sellIt is covered under warrantyFor years I have included service with all systems installedThis was not an issue because the products hardly ever have any issuesWe have had to charge for issues not related to our system because we had so many people calling for serviceWhen I would arrive at their home our system would be working properlyThe issue would be from an old smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector beepingAs this continued to happen we add a service fee to cover our cost on a an issue that was not related to our system We have to charge a fee if we go to a home and the problem is with a an alarm that we did not sellThis was the case when I visited this customer on SundayOn the phone I explained that if I drove out to their home and there was not a problem with the alarms we sold them there would be a fee of $As expected the problem was not with our alarmThe problem was with an old alarm purchased by the homeowner from a local retail storeThere was no problem with any alarm that was purchased from our companyThis is why I explained there would be a charge if I came out and there was no issue with the alarms we sold themI drove and hour and mins each way on a Sunday to take care of a customerI'm sorry there was a misunderstandingAs I mentioned I will refund the fee even though I was called out for a 1/hour service call on an alarm we didn't sell the customerThe check made out by the customer will be returned tomorrow

I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding. As I mentioned I will refund the fee even though I was called out for a 4 1/2 hour service call on an alarm we didn't sell the customer. The check made out by the customer will be returned tomorrow.
