On October 12th while it is true your car was towed from The Commons I do not believe the damage to your rear bumper was caused by the towing The scratches did not show up in the photo because the scratches are too light for a night time photoThe other damage on your bumper cover on both sides is much larger so they show up better I also want to point out that your bumper cover already had damage to it before and the scratches are in line with the other damage on the bumper cover As I explained to you, we used a wheel lift to tow your vehicle from the front A wheel lift does not touch any part of your car other than the tires, on your vehicles only the front tires The area you are talking about is nowhere near the wheel liftI also pointed out to you that you did walk around your vehicle before leaving my lot and didn't see the damage eitherYou said you noticed it after class while parked in a T.C.C parking lot I would think that a lot of vehicles get more than a few scratches from parking there It could have happened there since that's the first time you saw it As far as you remarks below, I was not rude to you at all The guy you had with you was very rude to me which is why I stopped talking to him about it and only talked to youI never told you it was not my problem, I said we didn't cause the damageAs far as no one can make me pay for it, I told you the same thing the Tallahassee Police Officer told you that it was not something that a police officer can do anything aboutIts a civic matter, not criminal matter I never understand why people think we are the reason they get towed I think people forget that we don't own the property they were towed from and we don't make the parking rules anywhere, The property management or owners do that and we just enforce the rules that we are given and we are not the ones that parked the vehicle where it was eitherI always wonder why someone didn't tell their guest where they should have parked since they live there and should know the parking rules I spoke to the owner and he said it is not his problem and no one can make him pay for it and was extremely rudeThis company corrupt and very rude I think the matter might have been handled better if the young man with you wouldn't have talked as much because when he started talking to me the way he was, I wasn't going to argue with him I don't believe my driver caused these scratches but since you think we caused the small scratches in the middle of your rear bumper cover, I did talk to John at Pro Finish Paint and Body Shop about the scratches only in the middle of your bumper cover and asked him to bluff it out for you He said he would be happy to, free of charge Of course he won't repair the other damaged areas to your bumper cover unless you are willing to pay for it yourself but you two can work that out between youJust let me know if that is something you would like to do and I'll get you in contact with him so a time can be worked out when you can stop by his shop [redacted]

As I said in the first message. You did not tell me anything about any damage at the time you picked your car upI can't say anything about something I have not had a change to see.as far as there being no visitors spaces at the apartment parking lot If there are none then you can't park there but there are spaces open most nights in the pay & park spaces That is not where you parked you vehicle. the tow service is to inform the resident of a vehicle in their spot Prior to towing This isn't true The resident does not have a set parking space, just any space will do in the parking lot that they are assigned to We do not inform anyone other than the Tallahassee Police Dept when we tow a vehicle for parking at any property they did not offer a receipt and gave me a hard time about giving me oneI was the one that released your vehicle to you and you were given a receipt after the bill was paid You had to pay your bill before you were given a receipt The two men inside were mocking the situation, unprofessional and arguing with me about the reason they chose to tow my car There was no supervision or management in the office at the time and they made me wait over an hour....I was the only one talking to you at the pay window, the other man was talking to someone (I think it was your mom) about the tow and I am the owner of the towing companyThere is no supervision higher than me for you to talk withYou only had to wait until your credit card could be ran as I stated in the last message and even then you only waited 10-minutes at mostYou could have been on the road sooner if you had allowed me to run your card as credit since the machine couldn't read your card, That was your choice Another violation only asked for a receipt because The final violation was that they took my car farther than the allowed miles It was not within walking distance I had to take a taxi to get there costing me The vehicle does not have to stay in walking distance Towing services have to be located within the areas that are zoned for us by the city and that's where vehicles are towed to Our lot is inspected by The Tallahassee Police Dept, The Leon Co Sheriff's Dept, FSU Police Dept, FAMU Police Dept and F.H.P two times a year Its passed each time My storage lot is second to no other towing companyI work very hard to see it stays that way. This towing company is a get rich quick scheme to defraud and should be shut down by the State. I am sorry you feel that way but I have taken the time to try to help you understand that we work for the properties we tow for We do not make the parking rules at these properties. I know you were not mistreated in any way since I was the one dealing with you in person I treated you much better than you treated me. I hope this helps gives you a better understanding of how towing works and I hope you have a wonderful day. *** ***

On June 16, 2015, Your Kia Soul was parked in a resident parking space and did not have a parking decalThis is not allowed on this property at any timeThere isn't an amount of time that it is allowedThe apartment management office only issues parking decals to residents that live at this
propertyIf you were dropping someone off at the property you should have parked in one of the visitor parking spaces. There are at least pay and park visitor spaces at this propertyThe person you were dropping off there should have informed you about the parking rules at the property. I do not how much it cost to park in the visitor spaces but we can not give you permission to park at this property in any other space than the paid visitor parking spaces. The rules are not up to me or anyone other than the management of that property. We do not have time to hide and wait for someone to park in the wrong place as your complaint states. We have over lots that we have to check each hour, every night. We are hired to patrol these properties by the management of each property. Each property makes their own parking rule as they see necessary for their property and the safety of their residentsWe do not make the parking rules at any of the properties that we patrol and tow fromWe also have no say in how many visitor parking spaces each property has or if they charge a fee to park in those spaces. As far as any damage to your vehicle goes, it's the first I have heard of it. Not sure if I understand what you mean when you stated damaged brake shiftWe wouldn't have any reason the damage your brake shifter if that's what you mean but I will be happy to take a look at it if you would like to stop by my office. You were not refused a receipt after the tow bill was paid. You wanted your card ran as debt and the machine could not read your card as you know since we talked about itI offered to run it as a credit card so I could type the numbers into the credit card machine but you didn't allow me to do that until I had given up trying to get it to read your cardAs soon as you allowed me to run it as credit, it went right thru and you were given a paid receipt. You were asking for a receipt before you had paid for the tow and that is not the way it worksYou only get a receipt after the bill has been paid in full. As far as you thinking we were unprofessional, greedy, or gave you company disclosure of working for studentsI am the person who released your vehicle to you and I never mistreated you at allI called you sir every time I had to address you even after the way you spoke to meI'm very good at keeping my cool with people that are talking to me in a harsh way because I know sometimes they are upset about being towed. As far as being greedy, the rates are set by the City of Tallahassee and have been the same since but will be going up soon so you may want to be more careful when parking next timeWe work for the properties, not the people that park in the wrong spacesIt does not matter if the vehicle which was parked in the wrong parking space was driven by a student or notCollege Students have to park in the right parking spaces just like the rest of us. I think I have addressed all of your issues and your complaint and I hope your having a better day today

I wanted to at least respond to your complaint Your daughter is not allowed to park in the loading zone or the fire lane or in the alley way The vehicle that was towed parked in the loading zone at 11:pm, was towed at 12:am and she didn't come back to where her car was parked at
until 12:am The loading zone isn't for the residents to park in The decal she has is for the parking garage only and she has to park in the resident levels onlyThe alley way where she was parked at is for trucks to load and unload for the merchantsAlso please understand that we do not make parking rules anywhere, we just enforce the parking rules of the properties that we work for. There was a male tow truck operator working and answering the phones that nightThere isn't a lady here at that time of night to call anyone back No one that works for me accused anyone of being drunk. As far as not being able to pick up her vehicle The office is open from am til 11:pm on that day She could have pick up her vehicle during the other hours but she has to tell us when she wanted to pick it up and there is an extra fee of $to do so which would have made the towing fee $but during the hours that the office is open the rate is $which is what she paid *** did call call to see if anything could be done but we told him that everyone has to pay the same tow bill amount as every other vehicle towedWhich is set by the City of Tallahassee so no matter who tows your vehicle, its the same fee. As far as bring the car back, that is not something we do, Its safer everyone for vehicles to be released at our office than out of the streetOnce the vehicle is towed from a property, the property management has no control of the tow so not sure who said what about the vehicle being towed back to the property.I hope this helps to clear up this matter for you Please free to call me if you feel the need toMy name is *** ***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: This is no t true They exaggerated the entire situation They never addressed the issue with the broken brake shift from mishandling the car It is a manual trans Furthermore, there are absolutely no guest spots available We spoke with the office numerous times about this and they stated the tow service is to inform the resident of a vehicle in their spot Prior to towing This has not happened and I speak for many other visitors and residents there I don't live near there so coming in is futile This should have been handled more professionally and within the law They violate the Chapter in towing vehicles without attempting to notify , missing or improper signage, and improper towning from resident spot along with improper handling of vehicles causing damage The issue with the receipt is out of context by the towing company I only asked for a receipt because they did not offer one and gave me a hard time about giving me one The two men inside were mocking the situation, unprofessional and arguing with me about the reason they chose to tow my car There was no supervision or management in the office at the time and they made me wait over an hour, Another violation The final violation was that they took my car farther than the allowed miles It was not within walking distance I had to take a taxi to get there costing me These violations are in the MyFlorida.com website and are public record This towing company is a get rich quick scheme to defraud and should be shut down by the State

Your vehicle was parked in an apartment parking lot that you were not working at nor visiting anyone at Management of the lot where you parked at signed to have your vehicle removed from their property because you did not ask for or have permission to park and leave your vehicle on their
property You parked and left your vehicle at *** Club and crossed a street and went to an apartment down the streetThere are sighs posted as you enter the property from the street There is also a parking rule sign posted in the visitors parking area stating that all vehicles must have a visitors pass that the residents give their guests while parked in those parking spaces I don't think *** Club management would have signed to have your vehicle towed if you had asked them if you could park there for a while but you didn't ask or even let anyone there know why you left your vehicle on this property so it was towed as per the rules of the property The parking lot at *** Club is for the residents and guests of *** Club Not for all the other apartment places up and down the streets around them. I hope this helps clear up this matter for you. Have a great day *** ***

On October 12th while it is true your car was towed from The Commons.  I do not believe the damage to your rear bumper was caused by the towing.  The scratches did not show up in the photo because the scratches are too light for a night time photo. The other damage on your bumper...

cover on both sides is much larger so they show up better.  I also want to point out that your bumper cover already had damage to it before and the scratches are in line with the other damage on the bumper cover.  As I explained to you, we used a wheel lift to tow your vehicle from the front.  A wheel lift does not touch any part of your car other than the tires, on your vehicles only the front tires.  The area you are talking about is nowhere near the wheel lift. I also pointed out to you that you did walk around your vehicle before leaving my lot and didn't see the damage either. You said you noticed it after class while parked in a T.C.C parking lot.  I would think that a lot of vehicles get more than a few scratches from parking there.  It could have happened there since that's the first time you saw it.   As far as you remarks below, I was not rude to you at all.  The guy you had with you was very rude to me which is why I stopped talking to him about it and only talked to you. I never told you it was not my problem, I said we didn't cause the damage. As far as no one can make me pay for it, I told you the same thing the Tallahassee Police Officer told you that it was not something that a police officer can do anything about. Its a civic matter, not criminal matter.  I never understand why people think we are the reason they get towed.  I think people forget that we don't own the property they were towed from and we don't make the parking rules anywhere, The property management or owners do that and we just enforce the rules that we are given and we are not the ones that parked the vehicle where it was either. I always wonder why someone didn't tell their guest where they should have parked since they live there and should know the parking rules.    I spoke to the owner and he said it is not his problem and no one can make him pay for it and was extremely rude. This company corrupt and very rude.      I think the matter might have been handled better if the young man with you wouldn't have talked as much because when he started talking to me the way he was, I wasn't going to argue with him.     I don't believe my driver caused these scratches but since you think we caused the small scratches in the middle of your rear bumper cover, I did talk to John at Pro Finish Paint and Body Shop about the scratches only in the middle of your bumper cover and asked him to bluff it out for you.  He said he would be happy to, free of charge.  Of course he won't repair the other damaged areas to your bumper cover unless you are willing to pay for it yourself but you two can work that out between you. Just let me know if that is something you would like to do and I'll get you in contact with him so a time can be worked out when you can stop by his shop.   [redacted].
