Merely offering to replace an item we paid for doesn't appropriately make up for the issue. If I owned the business in question I would have rushed out a care package and apology letter as soon as I learned of the complaint.
This complaint was filed weeks ago yet this is the first time I've heard from them. I'm thoroughly unimpressed by the time it took them to reply and their response. I have doubts about their sincerity.

Review: We bought a 25.4 oz jar of '[redacted]' and shortly after receiving it learned the item may contain salmonella. We bought the item for my mother, who suffers from dementia, and we were left without a key supplement to her regiment (for a week).
