New England Trees Reviews (6)

Review: I had eighteen 6-7 foot dark green arborvitea trees delivered and planted by this company. I followed their watering instructions but the trees started to deteriorate within a couple weeks. I emailed the company asking for advice (I have saved all emails) which they stated to water for an extra hour per day. I did as she stated and waited a few weeks with no improvement. I emailed them again asking for more advice and they stated the only reason for this was not enough water. I continued watering to their instruction. After a few more weeks, they continued to deteriorate. I emailed them again asking if they could come to my house and diagnose the issue before the trees went to a point of no saving them. After asking for help, the email they sent (it was not an automated reply) stated they were closed for a few weeks and could not help me. I sent them another email after they "re-opened" stating I had an arborist come to my house and diagnose the problem and forwarded the letter. The arborist stated they were buried too deep into the ground and the burlap bags around the roots when planted was not removed or cut so the roots could grow hence why my trees are dying. I did spray my trees in case of certain insects with an organic spray that you can use on edible garden plants (insects were not the problem). I stated, "I'm confident we can solved this issue without legal assistance". I received no response to my email.Desired Settlement: I believe this company should stand behind their product/service especially when instructions are followed or at least come to the house and diagnose the problem. I spent $1800 for eighteen 6-7foot dark green arborviteas. They are at fault due to poor planting. I would like the trees removed and replaced.

Review: I had purchased 11 trees from this company and I was guaranteed that if I don't like them they will be replaced. On 05/02 the 11 trees were planted (extremely poor job) but bofore I paid I realized that 4 of them are in terrible shape. The installers called the manager (I spoke with him as well) and we agreed that I'll pay for all 11 trees but the 4 will be replaced. They didn't call me for almost a week. I called number of times and left messages. Finally, the replacement was scheduled for last saturday (05 10 2014). The installers called me on Saturday indicating that they can't make it and asked if we could do it monday (05 12 2014). NO one showed up. No one called me. Every time I call no one answers the phone. I called the installer directly as well as the manager. I was promised to be contacted by wednesday. It is wednesday and noone has contacted me. I'm tired of chasing them and would like them to take all 11 trees away. I've planted 70 trees of the same kind, I bought them from another company but they had only 70 and I needed 81.Desired Settlement: I'm not used to doing business with company like this. I have 70 trees that are beautiful and are already growing. I don't want them to come back in a week and replace the 4 new trees, which will be smaller than the ones that are already in the ground.I would like to request full refound.

Review: This company is still in operation under [redacted]. There whole operation is basically a scam. They have a deceptive website with phony claims of good service and made up testimonials. The owners reside in [redacted] with no known physical address in Connecticut. They supply trees that are defective and then installed incorrectly as well. The trees start to die almost immediately after installation. When customers complain about the trees [redacted] offers to sell them more trees at half price. [redacted] also will tell the customer its his fault because of improper watering, etc. Its all part of the scam to get more of the customers money.

I personally paid this company over $1300.00 for (12) 8 ft Emerald Aborvitaes which are all dead now. The Revdex.com website mentions they are not in business anymore however this is not true. They are still doing business under [redacted]. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They are very crafty when it comes to getting your money. After they supply you with bad trees it is impossible to get a hold of them for a refund. They are evasive and run out of a virtual office with no address and only one phone number that they service out of Florida. The phone number has a local area code, but there is noone in Connecticut servicing it.

They shutdown New England Trees LLC to evade complaints, lawsuits, and refunds. Now they are just operating under [redacted] and running the same scam with customers in Connecticut.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS DISHONEST OPERATION!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I want a full refund and will pursue them to the full legal extent.

Review: In June of 2013 I ordered 7 [redacted] trees from New England Trees LLC. They delivered and planted them. Within a week two turned brown and were dead. Within approximately two weeks three others turned brown and died shortly thereafter. They obviously were not healthy to begin with and were not planted correctly. The two remaining trees I have been told by a nurseryman did not look healthy and probably would not make it. I was informed and their website indicated that if any of their trees died they would replace them at half price. I contacted the company and forwarded pictures to them. They said they would send someone to take a look at them, but no one ever came. Both my husband and myself contacted them several times subsequently, but to no avail. I have since contacted the Connecticut Secretary of State's Office and they said they had no record of them filing a LLC. I then contacted the Department of Consumer Protection, who informed me they would fall under the category of Home Improvement contractor and need to be registered. The Department of Consumer Protection had no indication of a registration filed. It is appearing that this is not a legitimate business and they should be prosecuted for fraud and misrepresentation.Desired Settlement: Due to the length of time involved to resolve this situation, I am requesting that we be reimbursed for the five trees that died, and possibly for the other two, should they also die.

Review: We purchased 23 trees from Mr. [redacted] in October 2011. Almost immediately we knew there wereissues with the trees and began e-mail exchanges by the next spring. We sent photos of the trees and were advised to fertilize etc. The issues continued as did our e-mails and calls. We asked that he look at the trees but he never did. In the fall of 2012 he sent someone down with 4 trees and they randomly selected the worse ones to replace. We continued to have issues and sent photos. The spring of 2013 [redacted] agreed in an e-mail after viewing the photos that the "trees didn't look like they were going to make it". However he didn't have any of the size we purchased so we'd have to take smaller ones or wait until fall, which we decided to do. In the past month we have repeatedly contacted the office to schedule the replacements. Now we are being told they aren't fully guaranteed and we've been given differing amounts that replacements will cost. This was never mentioned and in fact our receipt says gauranteed for 1 year. In prior e-mails we reminded Tim that we notified him within months of issues and any delay has beenon his end. Despite dozens of requests that he come out to look at the trees and decide how to proceed he has never done so. Now [redacted] and his sister have stopped responding to e-mails and apparently refuse to take our calls. Please help.Desired Settlement: We would like the dead and dying trees replaced with like and kind. We will accept a refund for the trees and replace at our own costs. However, that will end up costing us more to purchase trees that match the few good trees in size.
