On the morning of July 7, 2015 Mr. [redacted] called and informed us of the issue with his vehicle.  We offered to have it towed in as soon as possible at no charge but customer did not want to wait for tow truck and brought the vehicle in himself.  We inspected the vehicle and it read that...

the oil was full and would not start due to the battery not charging we then placed the charger on it and got it started.  When we test drove the vehicle we heard the knocking noise from the engine and brought it back to the shop where the oil was checked again and due to being hot did not show oil.  After letting the engine cool down we checked the oil reading again and it showed full, so the oil was then drained and 7 quarts were drained from the engine which is what was the tech put in Monday afternoon.  Synthetic oil is clear by nature and hard to read.  The customer had requested synthetic oil and that takes 7 quarts which we put in and this comes in quart bottle form.  This was witnessed by Alex B[redacted] (service manager) Myron M[redacted] and Adam L** (lube techs).  The customer did inform us that the engine that is in the vehicle was purchased used and installed elsewhere.  On July 11, 2015 Mr. [redacted] called and spoke to Betty L[redacted] (assistant service manager) and asked if he were to send us an engine could we install it.  She told him yes that was possible.  On July 13, 2015 Mr. [redacted] called Alex (service manager) to ask about the installation of the engine and was given more information and said he would be shipping us an engine to install for him.  As of July 14, 2015 we feel this matter is being resolved and are continuing to work with the customer to make sure he is satisfied.  If there is any further information required please contact me.Sincerely,Cynthia K[redacted] on behalf of Steven G[redacted]
