After receiving this complaint, I immediately contacted ***. We were able to speak on the phone, and he was appreciative of the folland provided me with a recap of his concerns. In an effort to enforce that New Era takes pride in its customer service and consumer feedback,

Hi - I would like to keep this case open because they have not proven to me that the authentic collection hats sold in the stores are the same as the ones made on the field. A New Era cus***er relations executive articulated that the hats worn by the players are made in the usa, and not the ones sold in the stores; which are manufactured overseas at a lesser quality, and the consumer is still paying a market premium. The stitching on the hats are different, as noted on the hat blog in the initial complaint submission, and by stating they do not want this to be public, they are clearly hiding its practices. In this note, they state that many of the Authentic Collection hats are made in the USA, but when you go into any LIDS, New Era, or MLBShop.com, it says these hats are imported I have copied the the link to an MLB shop hat, and where it says the hats are imported, in some instances, you may receive one made in the USAThe linke is below http://www.mlbshop.com/Seattle_Mariners_Caps/Mens_Seattle_Mariners_New_Era_Navy_...⇄ Also, initially, mlbshop.com had the hats stating they were made in the USA, when in fact they were not, and issued me a $gift certificate and corrected the website I would like for New Era to issue a public statement claiming this, or prove otherwise This is similar to what Under Armour and Fanatics have recently done, and is not unprecedented at this point in time That the players apparel on the field, is actually manufactured differentlyI am flying to see New Era's team the week of January 9th, and will like to keep the case / complaint open until then, to see if a resolution is met I am going to take photos, and observe its practices to prove that they have misled its consumers through advertising tactics And if necessary, I will take the necessary next steps to file a civil complaint as well Most importantly, share with them my internal research that shows the very apparent differencesThank you for keeping the case open ***
