To whom this may concern, *** *** arrived at our establishment in February inquiring about event rentals for an upcoming Quincenera for her daughterShe stated that she would need table covers, chair covers, bows, table diamonds, and flower arrangements for the event, which was to take
place on December 27, After hearing what she wanted for the event I proceeded to show her pictures of events that I had previously decoratedI spent time that day planning and giving her advice on how to arrange the special event for her daughterWe agreed on a non refundable $charge for the event, however since she was a friend of a family member I decided to give her the opportunity to give me $that day in order to save the date for herWe agreed that she would pay me $at a later date with a check, which I did cash*** would come into the store numerous times, and even though I only work with my clients if they schedule an appointment, I would attend her with the upmost professionalism and I never once declined her serviceIf anything I always made her feel welcomed and even though she changed her mind many times on what she wanted, I would make sure she was well taken cared ofI have multiple customers that can give written declarations on how Ms*** would come in during other clients appointmentsI do not understand if Ms*** felt she was being neglected why she decided to put down a $non-refundable depositAfter months of going back and forth with her over changing event colors, arrangements, and etcshe decides to call me one day and say that she will not be having the quincenera after all and she would like a full refundI kindly reminded her that I gave no refunds due to me holding that date for her event and purchasing the materials that would be needed for the rentalI followed the California Department of Justice refund policy by having in my establishment multiple signs stating that I do not give any refunds, also these purchases were customized for the consumer thus ineligible for a refundGuillerminia became upset and even threatened my healthThis type of behavior is unacceptable and should not be toleratedI am a respectful business owner with over years serving my community, I have always been upfront with my customers about my refund policy and I have had no problems in the pastI would also like to mention that the family took a dress for the quincenera that has not been returned nor fully paid forI would like to thank you in advance for your time in this matterRespectfully, *** ***

Review: On Febuary 2 2014, I ([redacted]) walked into New Fashion to get my daughters "Quinceanera" planned and decorated. [redacted] the store owner advised she would provide table covers, flower arrangements, and other misc. items that would be needed to decorate the hall. [redacted] charged me $700.00 dollars to to arrange the hall. [redacted] did not dedicate time to plan out the Quinceanera with me or provided me with any service. I paid [redacted] $200.00 dollars in cash and $500.00 in a check. When I asked [redacted] for a refund she declined and declined any knowledge of receiving any payment. I have a copy of the check that my bank (Financial Center Credit Union) provided to me. The Check was signed by [redacted] and cashed.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to refund my $700.00 dollars because she did not provide me with any product or services.
