New Generation Towing & Recovery Reviews (%countItem)

they took my money, lied about how to prevent this from happening again and now want me to pay again for the same thing
They attempted to tow my vehicle I stopped them mid process because they had made my alarm go off and that alerted me to someone taking my vehicle. When I asked why they said it was due to an expired tag I said my tag isn't expired I just lost the yellow sticker somehow and had ordered a replacement but it still hasn't come in the mail. The guy who was towing it told me to put my registration card in the windshield as proof that it wasn't expired and I even put a sign in the back that read "not expired pending replacement lost sticker" no cop has pulled me over and yet a week later my vehicle was towed in the middle of the night without a word/no alarm went off no note left about where it was towed to. I had to call the police department to find out if it was stolen or towed. I call them once I find out it was them again (the guy told me they are the only ones who tow in my complex but I wanted to be sure) I called the towing company someone answers acting all confused then tells me he doesn't know why I was told that but I would have to pay regardless because they towed it already. They didn't read anything, didn't run my plate to find out if it was expired the first time or the second, I paid $125 cash the first time I was supposed to be emailed a receipt and never was, now I gotta pay again for them to give me my car that was NEVER expired and I can't rush the DMV to give me a new sticker And they took my money gave me false instructions only to tow my car again a week later and give me mad attitude telling me to "learn how to park" when I reached the towing company and stated it had no business being towed the guy refused to give me his name told me it was "Charlie 69" this towing company smells like literal ***, their in what looks like a on site construction office while the vehicles are behind them it smells like a garbage site instead of an actual company.

Desired Outcome

Not just a refund but for the company to be held responsible to stop scamming people or if it's not a scam be more diligent to ensure your not re-towing or charging people that you gave false information to

Unfair towing practices against women in general in our apartment complex.
My name is ***, I am completely convinced I was a target of extortioning in part of this towing company driver in specific, tow truck number 11, New Generation Towing and Recovery from Kissimmee Fl.
I had parked for a couple of minutes in an unassigned (the entire complex is unassigned) parking spot around 1:30pm on Feb 13th 2020, to drop off some groceries which were out of bags,it was closer to my apt and I was alone. Around 10 minutes later the driver of the tow truck drove right past me, but ended up turning around and as soon as he could, hitched my car on the tow. I explained I was leaving as he hitched my vehicle, but he would not let me go. I was in a panic because I had to get my children from their school, but he would absolutely not let me go saying the owner of the spot had called, (completely false), and that I had to pay him $125 cash or it wouldcost more once he drove away...I explained I didn't carry such money on me if I could pay with a credit card which he completely refused and said he would tow my car to an ATM and I had to drive with him in his truck.. I was terrified but had to because I was running late for my kids..he drove me to an ATM, gave him cash, and he made me sign a phoney signature pad that I never received a receipt for. Exactly one week later he is driving in my complex and tried hitching another womans vehicle but this time the police were called. I feel this company and their drivers are out extortioning mostly women with no reason. I strongly believe he is doing this every chance he gets. It's not fair, I truly upset. I don't even know if the owner of the company knows what is really happening, and I would like to create awareness..thank you for taking this into consideration..

Desired Outcome

I would not mind having contact with the business owner or manager. I feel that this person is targeting women in specific and extortioning however possible.

I had my car towed because I did not have a parking pass for an apartment. The company that towed the car were rude and disrespectful. I felt very scared and unsafe about being in this location and being with only a male. He would not let any one else come with me to the car. I had to go by myself and felt very nervous with being with him by myself. He was smoking right in front of our faces and when flicking his ashes, the ashes landed on us. The car was parked so close to other vehicles I had to climb thru my car to even get to the drivers seat. He did not have proper ways of cash handling or record keeping. He did everything on his phone in his note app. He did not even have change to give me back after I paid him. He had to go to some run down trailer. The trailer looked like it was about to fall apart and looked very unsanitary and not safe.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want the company (if you can even call it that) to be shut down. It was disgusting and the one person that worked there was rude and disrespectful. I would also like my money back. It was $135.00.

My pickup truck was towed from infront of my garage due to no visible tags. Upon recovery of my truck I noticed damages to my drivers side door, fender and windshield which I made the yard operative at New Generation Towing And Recovery aware of. I showed pictures which showed my truck parked infront of my garage with no visible damages to the drivers side of the truck prior to towing. New generation towed my vechile with such negligence and after several attempts to work with new generation towing to resolve issue peacefully I was told to go get a lawyer by the phone operative. I've opened a claim against New generation with my insurance company along with a civil lawsuit due to the fact that this company is very unfriendly, trucks are poorly labeled, and towing yard is the front of a old building. This is a sketchy business with unprofessional employees that lack common sense and the ability to complete their job. This is a clear violation of Florida statue:

715.07 Vehicles or vessels parked on private property; towing.

Desired Outcome

Repair My only desire is for new generation towing to fix the damages they did to my vechile.

My rental car was towed illegally from a family member's driveway without cause. I was charged 125.00 to recover the vehicle.
On 7/8/19 after approximately midnight my rental car was towed from my cousin's driveway. The car was parked appropriately in the driveway and not on the street or grass as prohibited by the home owners association for ***. The signs posted at the entrance of the subdivision specifically states "no parking on the grass at any time violators will be towed at owners expense" and no street parking anytime violators will be towed at owners expense". On the document provided from the tow truck company the violation is listed as "blocking sidewalk". Also, the address on the document is is ***. Kissimmee, FL. This is not the address the I was parked. My rental was parked at ***, a whole block away. We have clearly been victims of predatory towing practices.

Desired Outcome

I seek a refund of the tow fees as this vehicle was towed without just cause.

New Generation Towing & Recovery Response • Aug 09, 2019

on july 8 @ 1201am my driver spotted a vehicle that was in violation of not only hoa rule but also florida statue 316.1945 which prohibits a vehicle from blocking the sidewalk at anytime. The picture included shows the car blocking the sidewalk and the receipt states the reason why the vehicle was towed.

Customer Response • Aug 14, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have reviewed said statute and it further supports my claim that my rental car was not to be towed. First the statutes states " parking on a sidewalk" Your claim is we "blocked the sidewalk" the two are not the same. Also if we are referencing this statute we must also acknowledge the punishment for "parking on the sidewalk" as stated in the statute. According to the statute:
violation of this section or a municipal or county ordinance may:
(a)Issue a ticket form as may be used by a political subdivision or municipality to the driver; or
(b)If the vehicle is unattended, attach such ticket to the vehicle in a conspicuous place, except that the uniform traffic citation prepared by the department pursuant to s. 316.650 may not be issued by being attached to an unattended vehicle.

***NOT TOWING!!!!!!***
Also, by referencing the statute are you implying you were working as an agent of the state of FL? If so I will contact them directly. With regard to the subdivisions rules. I have provided clear illustration of their parking rules as evidenced by the signage posted. You have not provided where in your contract it states you may tow a car parked in a driveway blocking a sidewalk.
